Would you really use the legacy asset w/ older, blurrier texture if a cleaner, sharper version was available to you? If so, I'd love to understand why you feel that way.
In such cases, then option 1 would be best.

If it is such a case where chrome is added or some other QUALITATIVE aspect (I would like to have more glow options like the resistance armor), option 2.

    Female avatars

It would be way too much development to introduce a 4th body type. You're better to ask them to add more muscle options to females or make huge include both genders.

I'm starting to think that as well, but only if 2.0 includes some of the things a sequel would accomplish, like revamped zones, more costume nodes to support some of the things you can do in CO and more, removal of rooting, etc. Starting fresh makes some of that easier, but reusing current assets has advantages too.

GR suggests that there may be more viability to CoH 1 than expected.

I also want to propose a question to anybody who thinks inherent stamina is so important. What 3 powers would you take instead (keep in mind you get no extra slots, just powers) that would make you so uber? It's asinine to say that stamina would make the whole game so much easier. If you want to claim it would lead to a drop in challenge, then you have to back that up by demonstrating that most builds would become dramatically stronger with 3 extra powers. Since those who take stamina skip their 3 most skippable powers, any powers they do add instead will likely be situational at most.

This. The argument that an inherent stamina would make the game considerably easier is laughable.
  5. Or just do what would be most intuitive and eliminate outleveling entirely since it serves no purpose and only pisses off content fans.

Replace it with text that warns the user that mobs may be under their level, or auto-exemplaring.
  6. There are lots of powers I can think of that would be cooler than any in game, but if I were to use them as a general hint, FF/Invul tankfender with teleport, heal, and bots pools. To a pacificist who is a REAL hero that's what would be useful and less likely to lead to the moral questions that are inherent to the fantasy.
  7. Hero, but that means a REAL hero, not the superhero fantasy. I don't consider it heroic to go beat up 'bad guys,' which is why, until GR introduced hero stories that involve specifically helping people in contrast to vigilantism, I could not get into the hero thing as presented in game.

I would use powers to build money for philanthropy, protect the environment, and gain influence to promote change in society.

If others had them, both this topic and human nature suggest the ones I might have to battle would not be common criminals, but vigilantes.

    Reverse NPC Text

    Example:

[NPC] Flambeaux: I'm totally gonna set you jerkfaces on fire!
    [NPC] Mangle: My problem?
[NPC] Flambeaux: Oh no. Wait...you're here to help Chaos Ex Machina?
[NPC] Flambeaux: Mangle, what's your problem? Don't you want to party?
[NPC] Mangle: I hate you. That's my problem.

It does this with nearly every NPC text, more often than the correct order. Does everybody get it like that?
  9. Some vets are just so determined to drive away newbies. First response was terrible.

It might be at steam's end or NCSoft's, so try emailing both. For NC try the account support or post this to a GM petition.
  10. Pretty cool. With this, the going rogue badgem, and kil skuls, I have to ask:

Where are the references to jerk hackers being gone to the americans?!

As for Sam, well, I agree with him about other things, but like the freaks being comic relief.
  11. There obviously no reason it should still be restricted now.

The point is that he said having conflicting requests is proof that people just want to complain, rather than proof that different people have their own requests. Anti-logic.

Just goes to show that some people aren't happy unless they have something to complain about.
Yeah it couldn't possibly be that different people have different taste and therefore request multiple things, or that OPTIONS are the consistent wanted factor in either request.
  14. 1. Remove rest recharge.

    2. Add way for teams to read dialogue and what the leader clicked.

That resolves most of it right there.
  15. I've encountered this often, along with the quest simply being blank and not activating.
  16. Since it's possible to team with somebody in any other quest, even power and crusader, I don't think there can be a story justification for it. They should probably be team compatible, but require you to do your own, if multiple members each have it.
  17. LOL @ Manticore trying to jump through the retcon created hoops in those topics.

Just admitting it's a retcon, which is entirely in genre, would be far more effective.

He also says that Requiem was a council spy in the 5th. I think that every time he gets a role in game there's some retcon involved. Requiem's been the leader of them, a spy working in the 5th, a spy working in the Council, the Nictus representative, a roman collaborator, the last stand against the council, and now he's sort of nothing with Reichsman around. At this point the best thing they could do with Requiem is make him some sort of retcon running in-joke.
  18. Ok, you CAN do it by taking to the Ms. Liberty in Atlas Park, but it directs you to Fort Trident.
  19. Or those who are not aware of the hero lounge.

Manticore tells you to talk to Ms. Liberty... in Fort Trident. Somehow copying her there has made TFs that involve her point to the hero lounge.
  20. It would be a whole lot less restrictive than demon summoning, and I support it.
  21. Is there a large version pic you could link?
  22. Yes, it's smoother than most issues. Even the merge went without a hiccup.

can heroes and villains be in the same super group?

    Positron:
Not yet, but we're re-looking at how to make that happen, because we know a lot of you are asking for it. Don't want to break the game to make it happen though
This single quote has made me far more confident about the direction GR will take from this point, and in the team, given that already a feature that in beta (I think) Posi said would not happen is being looked at again. Thank you for looking into it and listening to requests like this!

When are they going to allow costume parts from in-game villians. Like the Carnivals

    War Witch:
    Yay, David, that one's yours.

    Noble Savage:
The philosophy going forward is to convert every villain groups parts over to players. As much as we can possibly convert.

    Noble Savage:
Would like to go back and get the coolest older stuff as well. Stay tuned...

    Castle:
Some of those costume parts won't actually work for players

    Noble Savage:
That's why we can't get all of 'em. We'll get the VAST majority though.
    That too!
