Option "Turn" "bind LEFTARROW +turnleft$$bind RIGHTARROW +turnright"
Option "Maneuver" "bind LEFTARROW +left$$bind RIGHTARROW +right"
These work if I make them macros, but with the popmenu the I have to zone after clicking them? -
It fluctuates often, and I'm wondering what it is at the moment.
Some likely answers:
Merits 10, 35, or 50
Kinetic Combat (60m a merit)
Luck of the Gambler (60m a merit)
PVP IOs (100m a merit)
Bronze 10, 35, or 50
Silver 10, 35, or 50
Is there some sort of reference to how often each type is produced? For example, if you get twice as high a chance of heal recipes, a probability of each roll producing inf could be established. -
Why not add some error handling logic that addresses this particular error?
You're probably rushed what with the new staff, but it would be worth it. -
A level 1 that only marketeers can make more than a farmer, but you said teams.
Illusion/Empathy, since powers have a heal bonus to explain that your attacks are illusions. -
Grant cover manages to work with teams only, so there's precedent for such a power.
-
Can somebody post the I17 & I18 stats of missiles?

Quote:You know that sounds like it would be hard to implement... until DP. So there is a precedent for powers that add multiple icons (swap ammo adding 4).I should restate that I did ask for the ability to do BOTH ST and AoE buffs.
So when I chose Deflection Shield (for example) I get 2 icons, a ST and a PBAoE.
It is still one power and slots affect both icons. I can chose to apply a ranged ST buff (80') or a PBAoE power with a much shorter range (say 40'?).
Im not sure if there is a marker on my Pets (self_pet=1?) that the Buff can detect and only apply to those. If not it could be added -
Quote:Personally I have not noticed the topic being discussed much, but I want to address this myth.Actually now that I think about it, even though it was a mistake, it almost seems more fair now since bots is clearly one of the hardiest pet classes.
If they stay in the enforcer leadership toggles, thugs actually have BETTER defense, even before you consider:
It buffs the enforcers too unlike bots
The bruiser has better and or more common resistances
They can slot the recharge set uniques
The only defensive advantages bots have over thugs are psionics, no need to stay near the enforcers, and the shield that they grant the player. -
I'm totally for it, and the click spam is one reason I don't roll buffbot sets. It would make teams with kins much more enjoyable too, as I hate to say the dreaded SB PLZ. Yet there does need to be some way to avoid buffing EVERYBODY.
Maybe some way to cancel YOUR buffs upon teammates, since exploits would be possible with the reverse. -

Quote:That was the scene where the movie jumped the shark. Up to then it had enough good to make some of the bad palatable. And from there it became a TV movie but with somewhat better effects, culminating in aliens killing the villain for no reason of any sort and a random secret base implosion.Because it's by FAR the most ridiculous, impossible and just plain dumb looking scene in any of the movies. Some greaser kid suddenly learns how to swing from vines through a ******* jungle, gathers an army of monkeys, then somehow manages to catch up to a speeding caravan of motor vehicles. There are pleny of other ridiculous scenes in that particular movie, and in temple of doom as well, but this scene is by far the worst of them.
There are stupid scenes even in the last crusade (its own secret base implosion chief among them), but they generally served some sort of plot purpose, had better acting, were counteracted by more positives, or at least were not THAT stupid. The monkey army was among the most ridiculous movie scenes I have ever encountered, and I like camp and don't require movies to make sense.
Quote:I don't have any problem with shia the actor like some, but regardless of how you feel about him, he wasn't the problem with Indy 4, some of the writing and scenes were the problems with indy 4. This franchise needs a george lucas filter if it has any chance of successfully continuing. And I don't mean to be too critical, because the guy is very creative, but some his his dumber ideas can crush a movie, and need to be filtered out. -
Quote:That could work!To be honest instead of a Mutt-based Indiana Jones movie I'd almost rather see a "young Henry Jones" movie to see some early adventures Indy's father. Yes we know he was obsessed with the Holy Grail but there must be a story behind HOW he became obsessed with that. How did he met Indy's mother and/or Marcus Brody? I figure it'd be cooler to see this kind of prequel film than some kind of "Son of Indy" spinoff.
Absolutely no Mutt.
I WOULD want to see a Harrison Ford sequel just to make up for crystal skull. -
Actually, what I would say is not that, but to buff super speed in some way. My basic point is that travel should be as awesome as technical capabilities can handle. Note I'm getting into theory at this point, not so much the subject of this particular speed stat, which is close to a speed cap that very well may be technical.
This is among the biggest reasons I have trouble staying interested in some other game. They have like 10 types of a particular travel type, each with ridiculous and arbitrary disadvantages, so that 'you have a reason to take the others.' Thus every type of travel power they have is inferior to those here. -
Add merits to the banner event and people will do it.
While I am not an advocate of trying to use rewards in place of fun, it is not that the banner events are not fun enough, they're just too hard to organize and require too many people to do even if you want to. -
Quote:So how would a travel power that suppresses be unbalanced in any way (if every travel power got a buff)? And while more is 'fun', that's a matter of opinion. For those who think about game balance, the constant call for more and more and more and more, if given into, will break the game and make it unfun for all but a few.
How can you bring balance into discussion of a noncombat power that's purely there to make more fun?
Quote:BTW, for Blasters, the buff is indeed already just 33% and not 50%. Kooky, eh?
Quote:Quote:Castle has said in the past that the travel speeds we have are basically at, or near the caps that the servers can handle. If we let people get too much faster, servers will stop being able to keep track of them, and you'll get problems with server-based lag as error checking tries to find you. -
I think this is a convenient backup of my point that it's a matter of taste, thus 'penalty' is nonsense even if you could come up with a decent argument why there should be one (and nnobody has).
-
-
This. Every good RPG I have played is totally different (well Chrono Trigger went with it up to the princess). The lesson here is that FF sucks.
-
Castle himself called the new Dominators dual-primary. I ask again why you would even WANT to back up such a concept. Why should we care to emphasize secondaryness?
It's arbitrary and it does not work with a game that's supposed to embrace customization.
It also does not work with every powerset. Some of them have stronger tier 1s than tier 2s. Some are up to taste. If a controller prefers gale, have they broken the game by not acquiescing to your imagined secondary penalty? Should one type of taste be favored? If you want the tier 1 more does that make you overpowered? -
Quote:This, even if the OP is a troll. The secondary thing does not accomplish anything.HAH!
I'm on the side of the OP!!!
The Responses to Avoiding the First Tier Secondary:
1. NO. Because we've been doing it this way for 6 years.OK, that's just dumb. It's like saying leave Faultline the way it was because that's the way it was. Or go back to old Vigilance or Defiance because that's the way it was. Or don't implement inherent Fitness because that's the way it was for 6 years. People who make this argument are the ones to be ridiculed and told they're not allowed to participate in discussions anymore.
2. NO. People will skip HIDE!
You mean like how some MMs skip Pets? Or 'Healers' skip attacks? Or Blasters skip melee attacks? Or Tankers skip Taunt? Why not let people hold off taking Hide until they have their Assassination power? And where's the indignation for "No! Controllers will skip GALE!"? Have you all heard the news that not all first tier secondary powers are equal in utility? How about giving people whose first tier secondary powers is nearly useless a chance to skip it?
3. I'm Laughing. I've got an owl.
I've got a brain.
.
The only response people are making to attempt to rebut it is 'it reinforces the concept of a secondary.' SERIOUSLY? Like the stats do not? Why is reinforcing such a concept even desirable?
Here's how you should think about it. If secondaries were currently open, would you suggest they be restricted just to make them feel more secondary? No, that would just be absurd and pointlessly restrict customization, in addition to being a very weird way to accomplish that goal. If it would make no sense as a new feature, why should it make sense in any case? -
People are saying meh at the badges board, but not here. 'Zen of vet rewards' sounds positive.
-
In that case, yeah, that is kind of unimpressive. Still, it's better than a tailor token and won't create jealousy, so I'd call it appropriate.

You guys are nuts. This power is crazy if you decide to level 1 alt even reasonably often, and some of you think it's not enough? It's like a perma patrol XP bonus.
