Having almost 50% global recharge means that youre probably also having a channelgun->channelgun attack chain. Thats why you think you have too many.

I have 2 chains on my crabmind. One for single-target DPS, and one for AoE.
Single Target Chain: Channelgun->Longfang->Channelgun->Mu Lightning->Channelgun->Longfang etc...
AoE Chain: Venom Grenade->Surpression->Frag Grenade->Electrifying Fences->Venom Grenade etc.

Both of these are going on while my pets are out constantly.

Would you mind posting your build?

Getting my first toon to lvl 45, I decided to respec to set up set enhancements. Looking them over with Midi, I found that simple invention enhancements gave better bonuses than set enhancements. How are set enhancements better in comparison to the amount you have to invest?

No they don't.

3. So Right now my build has the Black Scorpion patron and kick.
Obviously I'm not sure why I took kick since I'm level 50 and took nothing else from fighting so I'm trying to make a better build.

Here's the build I'm looking at:

I went to test and respecced into a similar build (unenhanced) and found that I seemed to have too many attacks for a decent chain. I'm not sure what I want to do about that. This build caps my ranged defense since I plan to be a hover-crab blasting from the sky. I don't actually want flight as my travel pool though so I still have hurdle and super speed for ground movement.

I can easily afford this and in fact have most if not all of the expensive parts already.

Suggestions/comments would be welcome before I go and confuse the heck out of myself respeccing into a different build.

-Thanks

Along these lines, has anyone posted the one-paragraph mini-guide that tells us how to *reliably* get the MA level auto-adjust to work for teams? (Yes, I did search around, but didn't find anything. Apologies if I missed it.) I don't know how many times lately I've been invited to MA mish teams, and we end up star-swapping, quitting and reinviting, etc. because missions aren't adjusting the team to the right level.

I'm sure there's a repeatable order in which you do things, but every team I've been on hasn't quite figured it out.

[/ QUOTE ]

Like the guide in my sig? Yes

9. [u]How to force your map or arc to set players' levels[u]

Preface: This guide assumes you know how to create a mission in AE and click buttons.

You may have seen or played other player's mission in MA that set your level-effectively side kicking or exemplaring you. This guide will tell you how to do that yourself.

There are actually multiple ways to do this but most of them involve creating a custom group. Go to the custom group creation screen and select "Standard". You should see a long list of enemies that you can use that look something like this:
Code:[/color]

Soldiers of Rularuu - Random Minion (41 - 54)
Soldiers of Rularuu - Random Lieutenant (41 - 54)
Soldiers of Rularuu - Random Boss (41 - 54)
Brute - Minion (41 - 54)
Honored Brute - Boss (41 - 54)
Noble Brute - Lieutenant (41 -54)
Natterling - Minion (50 - 50)

We're most interested in the last mob I listed, the Natterling, who exists only as a level 50. If you add one of these to a custom group and then use it on your map all players will fight as level 50's.

If you look through the mobs you will see a few others that exist only at one level. For example, if you want to make the player very weak you could set them all the way to level 1 by using a mob from the contaminated enemy group. Another would be the Rikti Monkey which has a version with a level range of (30 - 30).

Now you could just set all enemies to your new custom group; but maybe you don't want your entire map to be that kind of mob. Some of the alternatives, what some might call tricky ways, to set the mission include: Free a Captive, Add an Ambush, Fight a Boss, etc.

The least intrusive way-add an ambush-is probably the most complicated as well. In order to make this affect your mission minimally you probably want to set the trigger to something not obvious. Ambushes need a trigger and since we don't actually want the ambush triggered a good trigger would be a non-required collectible. I suggest using Bomb(small).
Once you've added the collectible item then you can create an ambush with your custom group on its completion.

If you instead choose to use the "Release a Captive" option your custom group isn't even required. Just select Standard then navigate to the mob that possess the level you want. The downside of using this is it may break up continuity in your mission. Remember to deselect "Required for Mission Completion".

The third way I mentioned I mentioned is "Fight a Boss". This way assumes that a boss with the level you desire exists. This method will most likely be even more jarring for the continuity of your mission than the others. I don't recommend it.

Now we come to the part where I tell you what doesn't seem to work. You may notice in looking through mobs that some have overlapping ranges. Unfortunately if you use a mob with a level 5-15 range in the same group as a level 15-40 this doesn't set the mission level to 15. I wish it did.

In writing this guide and being curious in general I messed around with editing the mission files or custom group files directly. This is not a valid way to bypass the in-game editor. If you try to run a mission which has been changed the game won't let you and will force you to fix it before testing or publishing.

If I've missed anything, you just want to comment, or you have any questions I'd be happy to hear from you.
-Chaos Creator

Some people who know more than me have been replying; I suggest reading the first few at least.
10. I had some free time after helping someone on my server test his arc and I threw together a little guide to explain exactly how to force MA missions to set all players' levels.
I looked around the player guides forum and this one as well and I can't decide whether I should bother posting my guide or if the information within is so obvious that it has no value.

Thoughts on this? Would a guide to auto SKing/Exemping be useful?

EDIT: well since someone was interested I went ahead and finished it up. link in sig.

well at least it's obivous that you guys hate the villains now.

[/ QUOTE ]
You know after reading this entire thread, and several others, I have to say something:

Villains-only players are the biggest bunch of crybabies I have seen in ANY game forum. If the developers truly hated villains, they would not make sure that the issues had stuff that both "sides" could use. They don't need to.

They could stop all development of everything red side and devote 100% of their resources blue side, but they do not.

Worse, all these calls of "Devs hate CoV" come before a single player has seen Issue 12 as the game is still not even to the closed beta stage.

Whine moar.

The developers might not hate self proclaimed "CoV-Only" players, but after putting up with all the whining in the last 3-4 free issues, I would not blame them one bit.

[/ QUOTE ]

Hey guess what. Heroes cry more than we ever have. Villains get mayhems: waaaaah we want that too. Safeguards are born. Villains get LRSF waaaaah we want that too.. STF is born. Seriously you pretentious twit; get off your high horse and stop blaming the villains for crying you heroes are the true cry babies.
15. I'm just going to suggest that if any of you parents have younger kids playing CoX, specifically CoV, don't let your children play Westin Phipps missions. The guy is truly sick and disturbed. Not something younger kids should be exposed to.

The recharge proc in bots, Its a very good option for assault bot, and once I get one I will post some info about it. If the bot is smart enought to use incindeary missile swarm more often that its a good trade off for 3.75% aoe def.

this is why you don't give him the first upgrade once you have the recharge proc
17. Nice guide but I find it lacking in a few areas.
I'll ramble them off as they come to mind while I look in mids at your 'perfect' build.

You didn't mention Medicine pool. If you have any plan of soloing AVs aid other and aid self are a huge help.
You didn't mention the pet uniques. I recommend putting both into your battle drones

You used the buildup proc in tactics.... all I can say is why??

Your 'perfect build' didn't use the recharge proc. How many times must I tell people, if you have the assault bot; use the recharge proc!

You slotted so much for recharge that your build is rather gimped.

You forgot the aegis unique in charged armor.
You didn't bother with any of the purple pet set in your assault bot either.

Its a decent build but its by no means perfect.
18. So I just beat my first AV solo. Ice Mistral. It would've gone alot smoother if I'd wiped out those damn mu strikers beforehand. I got one death due to them sapping my end all the time.
19. Not to steal your glory (lol) but I actually manged to solo Aurora again this time without any shivan. Makes me feel all warm and gooey inside I'll match you yet! (not )
20. So I just tried soloing Aurora Borealis in the same mission you did. that was a bit easier than I thought it'd be. Still, very cool to say I can kill something Ultimus can :-p
21. Alright I'd like to ask if you could post a Screen shot of your powers screen just so I can look and see what sort of slotting you did. I'm a bots/traps MM and don't seem to be able to mow everything down yet
