    Char is woefully underslotted.
    The Aegis Psionic/Mez isn't that great, You wasted a power on swift, not enough recharge in siphon power, Doctored wounds gives no accuracy. I hope you like to die because you'll do that alot with no accuracy in transfusion.

    The Mission Architect is a real frustration for me. To my way of thinking it has just about killed the rest of the game. It is very hard now to find regular mission teams and task forces. It is difficult to make money outside the architect because prices are way down on items because no one is buying since they can get them in architect. I can no0t make enough money anymore to even buy enhancements. It is like the outside AE has regressed back to before the wentworth's system came in. Worse. Many, many of the AE missions are not well balanced for the players abilities and seem to just be some one trying to go power crazy and beat up on other toons, but, until you try a mish you do not know if it is balanced or not so there is a lot of time wasted. I am sick of AE and I am not sure I can see a future in this game to keep my interest for me to reach my 5 year mark.

    I couldn't agree more with you halfthief. The real game itself is nearly gone. Most people flock to AE now and there isn't any real community on the maps any longer. That's part of the charm of the game is to see other toons flying around and joining real mission teams and task forces. With no one around, it feels like I'm playing a single player game. Hardly mmo. I and a friend (on another account) have been playing for over 2 years but we're going to cancel in a couple of weeks and go to try out WoW. It's a shame...CoH/CoV is such a great game and the AE is a great idea in concept...but the devs dropped the ball in implementation for the last time for us. 2 more gone. [\b]

    I'm very sorry you feel that way. I myself have done hmm.. at least 10 task forces in the last week with my global channel. I suggest you join your server's global channel and try to find TFs there.
  3. I too have an Archery/Ice in the mid levels and for this toon I tried as hard as possible to get an ungimped, ranged defense capped hover blaster.

    End Result: 47.3% Ranged Defense

    Umm... it's the TEST server. You shouldn't expect to keep *anything* on the Test Server. While I'm also impressed that you've built up a megaton of Prestige... you might have thought about doing that on a live server. There are quite a few of 'em.

    The devs are under no obligation to save anything on the Test Servers... from Ex's post:

    · Content and characters could be wiped at anytime as game specific updates and changes are published, tested and removed.

    So... I'm betting you're out of luck, man.

    I have two brothers and multiple friends who play. There are lots of potential "bests" so you can mix and match things to best suit each of your family member's style and preferences. Here are some of our fun combos. I'll start with 4 ofs then go to some mix and match combos...

    4x Emp/Sonic Defenders
    Everyone will have more defense than a Scrapper in Elude, more regeneration than a Scrapper with Instant Healing, more damage than a Blaster, and the equivalent of 2 Speed Boosts recharge from Adrenaline Boost ... and nigh infinite Endurance without stamina.

    4x Thug/Storm Masterminds.
    Thugs give buffs to each other thug on the team. You would have a lot with 4 Thug/Storms. Basically, all you have to do is call your thugs, updgrade them, turn on steamy mist, cast Freezing Rain, and push forward.

    2x Sonic and 2x Force field Defenders, Controller or Corruptors(Thermal can replace Sonic, Cold can replace Force Field)
    Basically everyone on the team get's teammate buff shields. Everyone buffs each other and EVERYONE on the team is a Stone Tank. Think absolutely positively unkillable if you stick together.

    Buffs are quite amazing in tihs game. Any combination of 4 Defenders, Controllers and Corruptors who all take their team buff powers and use them will be insanely powerful. For increased damage throw in a Kinetics. If someone wants to be big and strong throw in a Tanker or Brute.

    Some silliness for aoe damage combos is Super Strength/Fire or Super Strength Shield + Kinetics. Either Tank/Controller or Brute/Kin works. Throw in two whatever and at high levels they will fly along.

    The possessed scientist map was bugged last year to give repeatable drops. pohsyb fixed it in issue 12.5. Perhaps it's possible that i13 or i14 re-introduced that bug? The hallmark was that you would always get a set sequence of drops from the map, of a given type (salvage vs. insp etc) but of varying specifics (nevermelting ice one run, spell scroll the next, but always a salvage at that position).

    I don't believe so. I'm pretty sure Mids has a check in place to ignore beyond the rule of 5. I totally ignored the 1.25% from Tstrike as well. My original post has been fixed to include it.

  15. Yes, but the only way I can find without using a PVP 3% defense IO is by slotting stupefy into energy punch.

    Here's How to do it:
    6 Slotted with Mako's Bit [3.75% Ranged] :
    Power Thrust, Bone Smasher, Total Focus

    6 Slotted with Thunderstrike [1.25% + 2.5% Ranged] :
    Charged Bolts, Lightning Bolt

    6 Slotted with Stupefy [3.13% Ranged] :
    Energy Punch

    6 Slotted with Gaussian's Synchronized Fire-Control [ 2.5% Ranged] :
    Aim

    3 Slotted with Eradication [1.56% Ranged] :
    Short Circuit

    6 Slotted with Lockdown [3.75% Ranged] :
    Tesla Cage, Shocking Bolt

    2 Slotted with Blessing of the Zephyr [3.13% Ranged Defense] :
    Combat Jumping, Super Jump

    3% Steadfast Protection Unique and 3 Slotted with Reactive Armor [0.63% Ranged Defense] :
    Charged Armor

    Total: 45.1% Ranged Defense

    Leaving 13 slots to use wherever you want..

I didnt complain and went with Demon wings. the instant i entered the tutorial zone i was bombarded with maybe 10 badges, all of the veteran badges ending with 42 months. Tell me is this some sort of incredibly lucky glitch? Did i maybe get it when i bought the Good vs. Evil edition of the game? and why can't i do it with any other characters i want to make?
    Oh and i have been playing with this account for about a week. Created the entire account on 5/9 i believe.

    Personally I think they should have done a stealth-merge (unannounced to anyone) about two weeks ago when the Markets were at their most volatile. Things were so messed up then that nobody would have noticed and by the time the Devs announced it the post-MA dust would have settled and all would be right with the world.

    The Rogue expansion, paid or not, will have to be done well or it may subdivide the game population. Redside suffers from relatively low pop now. Blueside can survive if some of their population goes to a new zone for a while but I do not believe that redside can afford to lose anyone.

  23. Back in I11 before I unsubscribed for awhile I found PVP an amusing distraction. Something to go do with some friends for a bit. I have fond memories of messing around in Siren's Call or Recluse's Victory.

    I came back for I13 and heard from a friend that I13 totally wrecked PVP. I wanted to see for myself so we went to the arena. My jaw dropped at how mind numbingly boring it was. Sure we could kill each other but there wasn't anything fun about it.

    Your attempts to make PVP more fun for everyone failed.

    I strongly /signed this letter even though I don't PVP much. I13 PVP has chased me out because; quite frankly, It just isn't fun.

  25. Stacked accuracy has nothing to do with why you should take stamina. (You should) Double stacked assault works amazingly well.

    The very first VEAT ST led by TopDoc used /Kin Corrs and Veat--that should give you an idea about how useful stamina and hasten are since that's basically what speedboost does.
