Quote:Specifically, it was fixed in i13 when the raid pathing was ... changed (can't say fixed, really). There used to be a way to have multiple doorways beside each other. It was a bug that was fixed a few issues ago.
I hold out hope that sometime around issue 27 we'll receive a base overhaul. -
Ah, heck. We were cleaning out the garage and I forgot about this.
Well, nifty screenshot, anyway. -
Quote:Even easier.
There's a "search members" button just under the page number listing. If you click on that and type in the name you're looking for, then click "go," it'll bring up all the names currently registered that have that string in it.
For example, typing in "Cende" brings up the following list:
Ascendent_Fury
Ascender
Cende
Incenderrella
Scenderbey
TranscendentFury
Transcendent_One
transcendent
WynneAscended
So you can see which names with the string "Cende" in them are already taken at one glance. -
I've recently created the Cross-Server Base Tours social group to promote regular (monthly?) base tours across the (NA) servers.
It'd be nice if we could set up a regular time and day to showcase a group of bases. Anyone interested is welcome to join the social group. -
SG Name: Unbidden
Global Contact: @Cende or @Talek
Base Layout: Homestyle - with lots of plants
Base Information: All functions in place, decorating is still underway (for a second time, we just expanded). Multi-level in several places.
Also, see the Cross-Server Base Tours social group - recently started to promote base tours across all the servers. -
Quote:As of this time,At this particular juncture in time, in this current revision of the Base Editor, there does not seem to be any method that I am aware of, of mounting "Floor" class items on walls or the ceiling (rotating them 90 off their vertical plane or inverting them).
However, this does not mean that some enterprising soul has not figured out a trick to do it in combination with some other objects.
So, I ask:
1. Is it currently possible to invert a floor object and mount it on the ceiling?
2. Is it currently possible to rotate a floor object sideways and mount/float it on a wall?
1. No
2. Nope.
Gosh darn it. -

Quote:Bad news.{...}
To do that, I changed the SG logo, removed a glass, and put a new one. If I stop here, it's working as intended, and all the glasses in the room are changed with the new logo.{...}
So, how do I change the logo on this glasses without deleting them all? (I'm not even sure it would work, but I don't want to try seeing how many of these I have).{...}
Near as we've been able to tell, you have to strip out all of the glass and replace them with the new logo glass. It's a by-hand replacement.
Once they're all replaced, they should stay still.
None of them are particularly less visible, although good luck with that. I'm a little disappointed that they didn't just put in a clear glass pane. We defaulted to our SG logo for the glass, and it's a little strange, having the logo in the one room where the glass panels are everywhere, but it could seriously be worse. -
I monitor power attributes (specifically, debt, exp to next level, and inf) on all my characters, hero and villain. Talek also monitors things like threat level (for his invisible characters, it tells him if he's visible or not) and speed (if super speed is on or not), as well as various other useful notes.
Pet window can be handy for controllers, as well, but since heroes have less control over their pets than MMs, mostly they don't use it. GR might change that, however, and the fact that pets will now zone with us may also make the pet window more handy in hero zone.
Windows. Love 'em, use 'em. -
Talek (Invisible Imp) and I are - which is why we were able to make it to your late night raid.
Just because it's an east coast server doesn't mean that most people in it are on the east coast - that just means it's based in... (Boston or Virginia? I forget which). -
Anytime I'm on, except Sunday evenings (SG night), I'm happy to give a tour of Unbidden's base. It's not entirely done, since we've just gotten re-inspired to work on it again (the teleporter rooms are half-finished, the hanger room isn't entirely done. I'm redoing the medical room to be 2-storied.. etc).

Quote:I understand that, and if I expand my browser to full screen, they fit fine on mine, too.
But not everyone looks at screens the same way, and not everyone can look at screens the same way. Some people will have limitations on resolutions due to monitor age. Some people will have limitation due to eyesight issues (I know someone who uses 1024x768 on a high end monitor, because of this). Some people have to have windows open to monitor other things, and can't have full-screen browsers open.
Further, we're coming from a text-only situation to a forum where we CAN actually have pictures, and this could seriously make things difficult for people with slower connections who might like to see some of these pictures we post, but the larger pictures are right out for them.
All I'm saying is that perhaps, as a a community, we should come up with guidelines for the maximum sizes for pictures we post. We can link to larger, more detailed pictures for those who want to go there, but for within the actual posts, perhaps smaller images are a good idea.
It's something to discuss. -
OKay, I like the pictures, I really do.
But can we come to an agreement on, say... size limitations? -
In the standard and enhanced editor, there's a little globe-with-chain link icon to bring up a URL box (the "insert link" icon). If you type in the text you want to embed in the link first, then highlight it and click on the insert link icon, then put in your URL into the box and click OK, it'll embed your link that way.
Nice and intuitive, isn't it? Someone else had to tell me, and I'd been hunting for the damn way for a while. I'd done it the way B_Samson had said previously in several different posts until I got into an argument elsewhere (some idiot told me to look in the FAQ. Trust me, it's not there). -
Quote:This, really and honestly truly, this.
I'd go even further and say expand it out - let us decide if we want to accept mail from people on our global chat channels as well as a our global friends list.
As one of the EiCs of the US City Scoop, I don't have all of the Scoop members on any of my friend lists - but I do have them all collected neatly on a global channel. I'd like to be able to receive email from them. I'd like to be able to receive email from anyone on the base builder's channel. I don't know that I necessarily want to receive anyone from the Triumph channels I'm on, however. If at all possible, let channel membership help define permission lists. -
Heh. Yes.
As I said, we're working on solutions. The Scoop is not, however, the only thing we've got on our plates, however, so it's not going as fast as we would, perhaps, like.
(and thecityscoop.com is owned by a parking company that doesn't want to give it up. Nasty critters.)

I've found these - although not all of the items info has been completely updated, I do have the .xls files. Anyone who wants them can contact me.
The format I have has the current price, the old price, and the percent difference listed. -
Quote:60 days.No,
Sadly you cannot. Back before 13-14, if you didn't "interact" with the WW/BM interface for 30, 60, 90 days (one of those numbers) you would lose anything you had stored/posted etc (but I don't think you'd lose "collections" that you'd sold and stuff, but I'm not sure). Now however, as long as your account is active (and it may be 30,60,90 days besides, not sure) you don't lose anything on BM/WW, I do not believe this extends to having an inactive account (except that maybe you have a 60 or 90 day "grace period" but I'm honestly not sure anymore).
Prior, if you hadn't interacted, you'd lose everything in WW after 60s days. Now, you don't lose anything as long as your account is active, but nobody's entirely sure if that means the account goes inactive and poof, or the account goes inactive and you go back to having a 60 day grace period and then poof.
Hi, Djeannie. Welcome back. -
Well, I'm one of the aforementioned Editors-in-Chief, so I'll pick up the ball on this one.
If you remember what the Scoop used to look like... well, here's a link to the LAST Scoop (on the 21st of July) - you'll notice that what it's supposed to look like and what it does look like doesn't precisely match anymore.
Unfortunately, we're having difficulties fixing the layout issues, and we can't get it to look any better than that. We've got an entire issue proofed and ready to go, but the new forums are defeating us every time we turn around.
HOWEVER! The City Scoop is not dead! We're working on solutions! As soon as we have something in place, we'll be back, and let everyone know where our next issue is!
Anyone who has an interest in assisting the Scoop in any way is welcome to PM me. -
Thanks, that's cute.
Just to let folks know, the Scoop staff is figuring out what to do next. Once we've got an idea, we'll set up a renewed call for images.
Thanks! -
Unfortunately, because of the switch to the new forums, the old links to the Scoop issues are now dead.
At this time, the active Scoop staff are exploring options for the future of the Scoop. We hope to have some useful news soon.
Anyone who wishes to work with the Scoop in any capacity should PM me to discuss things.

I might still have the .xlcx files if you want them.
