Celty, while I appreciate the support, I can barely draw stick figures. I like to think I can write a pretty good funnybook, but my artwork hasn't progressed much since second grade. David cooks with gas, though, as do a bunch of those others you mentioned.

I cant say I agree with you…at all. Its very important that you learn and understand the basic structure of your subject, whether it’s an inanimate object or a dynamic super hero. In fact I’ve had no formal training and got my basic direction from “How to Draw” books. I have all of the Burne Hogarth books, and I have 2 great anatomy books that I reference on a regular basis. Another good thing to do is to just draw things in life. Just go out to a park and do quick sketches of people so you can see how they move and how they actually interact with things.

A slightly edited quote of GillsBates above, but I agree with him, theres nothing wrong with how to draw books. I even have how to draw the Marvel way...........cough......ahem, ok lets move on. In fact I have many books that deal with fantasy Sci-Fi art as well as art in general from penciling to oils. I have just started getting a new Fantasy Sci-Fi Digital art magazine "Imagine FX" which is very good for tips ,software and equipment etc( no not an advert lol). I also without a shadow of a dought study other great comic book artist. Jim Lee, Micheal Turner (two big influences) Bryan Hitch and Alex Ross, to name but a few. And off course you can't go wrong by just checking out the awesome artist we have on the boards. Gill, Psibug, Poison,Troy Hickman, David Nakayama, Veikira, Cyberlynx and last but not least Darkjedi, man that is some great talent we have around. Not to mention some of the up and coming talent out there, Davenport, Juggertha_ and Gideon_B and I know there are more out there that I misssed Anyway practice practice practice. Man Thats the longest post I have ever done.

Sorry but my Tank still hates I5. The Devs had well over a year to make the tanks "work as intended" and these new changes just seem pulled out of their butts. A few inspirations are not going to cut it. Many of us still feel betrayed.
