  1. If anything doesn't need to be changed in DA it's the HEAL. And DA is fine as it is, if you can't play it, there are enough sets around with a lot of recovery, heals, def, resists, whatever. Dark Regeneration is one of the best, if not the best heal in the game, the point of it being high is to actually be useful when there's only a single target around. DA is one of the most balanced and interesting armor sets around and is perfect like that.
  2. If it's only NC West and not Paragon Studios, well they quite earned it i say. They did such a bad job to "westernize" Aion i'm not surprised by this, though as usual the blame is more on the management than the ones losing their jobs for that.

I'd like to see all the stupid access stuff (vanguard intro for merit drops, cimerora, ouroboros so we have it automatically, tailor missions) go into a little bundle like that as well, to get rid of it.
  4. Yeah at least we got a workaround, otherwise we'd be stuck for what, soon 3 weeks ? Quite disappointed with the reaction time on that.

On my spines/dark i went for 45% s/l, around 25% for the other types (one medium insp is enough), with around 35-50% on all resists, however the key is the full heal every ~8sec, not a lot of stuff will kill me in less than 8sec especially with the slow from spines, the water spout, the random kd and my habit of jumping all the time in/out of range. For AE farm you just miss some good regen/heal so i'd go for the incarnate regen buff, i don't think aid self alone is worth it, as the cast time is so bad it will most likely slow down your farm a lot if you need to use it often.
  6. I'm in love with Dark Armor since i first played it.

First, the set scales VERY well with IO and sets. As a number cruncher i love it for that. The set is utter crap to play with SO, i'd never play it if i didn't have the plan to make a full IO build. DA benefits and gains survivability from everything, recharge (mmmh that heal) and defense (soft cap is doable). The various auras and stuff allow for a lot of sets options as well.

The playstyle is really awesome and i like the feeling of watching the health bar go down then *poof*, full health, it's like playing a /regen without the annoyance of multiple clickies and having a set with no offensive option. Self rez is mandatory, i'm so used to it i hate playing characters without one now.

On top of that DA is quite rare compared to the plethora of willpower, fire aura, etc... toons. And it's quite an atrocious set for anyone not experienced and interested enough by the mechanics to understand how it works. But my spines/dark softcapped to s/l with 80+ global recharge and all the fancy powers i like is so epic i'd cry if they ever change dark armor, even if they buff it somehow.

I don't even think about playing another armor set and whenever i roll a new scrapper it ends up something/dark whatever were my initial plans, as i just can't bring myself to think of anything another set can do that is better and more fun than /dark for me

    This is what I did:
    • Go to trainer and switch to second, unused build.
    • Choose costume to edit.
    • Change something. (In my case I changed the Celestial Rifle to the "Beam Rifle" option.)
    • Accept changes.
    • Works!
When I switch back to my main build all my costumes become locked and unchangeable once more. Luckily it seems that whenever I switch to my second build still at level 1, the costumes are unlocked and available to be changed again.

So at least for me there's a way to finally change my costumes, even if I have to wait 10-15 minutes for build switching whenever I do it. At least the advantage to having to use my second build at level 1 is all the tailor costs are also cut down to level 1 values.

Tested that way and IT WORKS !!

Thanks a lot for that idea, you're my hero !

And thanks Avatea for checking that as well. Maybe include that workaround, if confirmed by others, in the thread ? Or a link to that one.
  8. Well my corruptor is Assault Rifle/Dark/Mace, so not Beam rifle related, but weapon related. Seems like the common denominator is indeed the /mace PPP on top of a primary/secondary with a weapon (any kind of gun ?) already. I'll update there as soon as i can try that.
  9. Awesome, thanks. I'll probably go for a high recharge build so, the first chain looks good. I'll look into that on the builder, i'll probably end up taking the ranged attack as i play claws and spines usually, so i'm used to having one.
  10. I'll have to try that again... However, do you have as well the Mace weapon on your 2nd build ? I'm pretty sure it didn't work for me, though i'll try changing only the rifle. Did you pick a locked costume or one with no lock symbol ?
  11. I found several threads about KM but none about attack chains in details so... what would be the best attack chains for KM ST dps ? And what kind of recharge needed for each ? Basically i'm thinking about rolling one, and i have no idea about the set itself, how it plays out, and what kind of powers i should take/skip.

    Thanks in advance !
  12. Well i have the Mace PPP on my corruptor... i thought it might be the issue but even changing the mace didn't help

Gonna try switching to my other build model at lvl 1 and see if i can edit something, that's worth a shot if the patch doesn't help.

Edit: ok, nothing works after the patch, and even on build 2 i have the ***** arachnos mace customization... anyone feels like blowing 2 respecs to try removing the arachnos pool ? :s
  13. My two first costumes are locked, however, none of them has any locked part. And even if i change the costume to some default one with nothing at all on it, it doesn't work
  14. Mmmh so today i had the bad luck to find one of my characters was completely bugged on the tailor, apparently. All works fine for the other ones but, my poor corruptor seems totally unable to edit any costume. None of them has invalid parts, i'm not in SG mode (even tried leaving the SG) or anything else, tried several tailors/locations, pretty much anything i could think about.

Basically i can click "next", move to power customization, "next", then i go back to my character as usual only to notice i lost no Inf and nothing changed.

-i tried changing a single aura, a color, or selecting "random" or one of the default costumes, resetting all my power colors to "original" including incarnates, no way
-hell i even tried to change the gender of my character and turn a costume slot into a bald half naked average Joe with nothing at all, but it doesn't work either
-i tried removing all my incarnate slots, leaving SG, turning off any power, disconnecting several times, whatever, nothing helps
-none of my 5 slots work
-tried using some free tailor sessions in case it's related to Inf (i have 300M on that character, should be enough...), no way
-it works well on my other characters as usual

So while waiting for a GM answer, am i the only one with such a bug ? I never got that before, and it might be linked to the last patch, however i'm completely stuck now for that character and can't change any costume at all until something happens.

If anyone has some idea, thanks in advance ^^
  15. Doing 1500 tickets/1min30 on my Spines/Dark, however the mobs running away depend a lot on the map. Not sure exactly why, but i suspect mobs with an antimezz toggle tend to run less... who knows why. On outdoor normal maps and on some AE farms they run everywhere, on the one i made (not even trying it) they didn't seem to run a lot. Anyway they die so fast it's not a big deal.

And i love my scrapper(s) too much to ever bother making a brute, my spines/dark happens to be my main character all around, as well as my best farmer
  16. So in theory i could remove some salvage racks and add tables instead ? Sounds awesome, i'll try that !
  17. Hello, i couldn't find a clear answer after a bit of searching (and links don't work in stickies), i was wondering, how many storage tables can we have in a base ? Does it depend on the base size ? I currently have 2, and i can't add more it seems, i'd like to know if there's a way and what steps i need to follow to add more tables

    Thanks in advance !
  18. Awesome, very clear answers, thanks
  19. Hello, i'm back after a year break and after reading some guides and stuff i'm still confused with the incarnate stuff. My main currently has the 2nd alpha slot enhancement on her. As far as i understand:

-to get the lvl 50 (+1) i need to equip something in the third alpha slot, is that right ?
-i could in theory unlock everything solo, if i buy the exp with shards, and if i farm enough shards to convert everything as needed for the various items in the recipes ?
-how does the "exp buying" thingie work exactly ? I didn't notice it on the NPC i checked, however i probably missed it. Which one should i see, and is it realistic to do that ?

As i play at odd hours i'm not overly motivated with the incarnate raid farming so, soloing would be a good plan if i can... Thanks in advance for the answers
  20. Even solo with a lot of AoE i don't like to rely on insps, sometimes they just don't drop what i need even if i fill my inspiration slots faster than i can use them, and combining them in the middle of action just doesn't work well. It's already enough of wasted time deleting the damn rez inspirations.
  21. Well i'd consider first the balance, going for softcap through IO often hurts your dps in another way (worse attack chain / weird slotting / weird power picks ) while going for shadow meld allows for a full recharge build. I grabbed it on my spines/dark and i'm perfectly happy with it, it doesn't allow me to do pylons or AVs but the anim doesn't root me in place so, i just use it while running between spawns.

I went from doing +2/X8 without bosses to +4/X8 with bosses on the demon farm, it's useless but still a nice improvment and i like to dive in first in TFs so, it works wonders for that. Soft capped + good resists + 8sec timer on dark regen makes pretty much invincible when it's up unless there's some massive defense debuffing going on.

That said, it still falls short for stuff that can kill me while it's down, any AV or swarm of bosses don't need more than 2-3sec to splat me. So i wouldn't consider it as good as a normal soft cap, it's more of a situational help for high recharge builds.
  22. I don't think it makes things hard, but interesting. It opens a lot of new options and gives a lot to think about and consider to make sure each slot is not vasted. I hope they won't add more slots, as it's now a lot of fun to make a proper build.
  23. The price of that build makes it funny all by itself. It sure doesn't look like a build made for anyone, though it looks pretty good and you end up with some impressive def and res.

I'm not a number cruncher but, going from my own perspective, i can't see how you'll manage the endurance on that. Even turning off some toggles, it seems really hard on the endurance side of things. What sort of attack chain will you run ?
  24. Got the cardiac boost, i just rushed the story arc in lowest settings then went to farm until i got the 8 shards, + the vanguard one i bought. I won't rush the uncommon though, i'll get it eventually after looting shards from my regular gameplay. Average 1 shard per demon farm map, sometimes 3 and sometimes 0 several times. Map takes about 10-15Min so, it's not that bad on a good farmer.

Now getting it on the other archetypes will be hell...
