  1. I'll see what I can do about helping for the EoE hunt, but I'm afraid I won't be at the raid itself. An Electric Armor Brute with no taunt would pretty much be useless at Hamidon raids, I'd imagine. :P

    BMT Redside

Especially a channel where everyone and their mother is an operator.
  3. I think Blasters should get Electric Armor and Willpower.

Dual Pistols / Willpower Blaster ftw!
  4. Woohoo! Now I have even more of a reason to engage in happy fun Rikti smash time.
  5. Take a look at my DB / Elec Brute build here. While it's for a Brute and not a Scrapper, the builds would be almost entirely the same.
  6. You did not just compare Champion to Freedom.
  7. Reminder that this is tonight. See y'all in the Hive at 8:30 P.M. ET / 5:30 P.M. PT.

    DB/?

I recently dinged level 50 with my Dual Blades / Electric Armor Brute, and I've been having a blast with her. The main reason why I went with Electric Armor for my secondary is that it completely pwns Rikti, and I really like to kick Rikti butt. Electric Armor is completely resistance based, so it's a bit squishy, but you can reach about either 40% s/l defense or 40% melee defense with IOs, which helps a lot. Energize and Power Sink are the cornerstones of Electric Armor, with a nice self-heal, a bit of extra regen, and an endless supply of endurance.
  9. Please see the thread here. We will still have a Rikti mothership raid tomorrow, but it will be immediately following a blue side Hamidon raid. The dual raids will start at 8:30 P.M. ET / 5:30 P.M. PT, so be sure to meet at the Hive, not the Rikti War Zone.
  10. Yep, be sure to meet up at the Hive tomorrow at 8:30 P.M. ET / 5:30 P.M. PT, not the Rikti War Zone. After the blue side Hamidon raid is complete, we will move on to the Rikti War Zone for a mothership raid.

I'm not putting the OP in that category, as I don't know them, but if you are found to have leaked before from a closed test, have a poor record with the GMs or similar, you get struck off the list of possible folks.
    lol.
  12. I'll be there on my Dual Blades Scrapper, but any team with me is guaranteed not to get the Master's. :P
  13. I just spent 1.5 billion infamy IOing out my Dual Blades / Electric Armor Brute.
  14. Yep, the 2 billion infamy / influence cap is actually a programming limitation. It's something that the programming language can't go beyond.
  15. Dual Pistols / Dark Miasma Corruptor ftw.

  17. Howdy. I am building towards what I have below on my Dual Blades / Electric Armor Brute, and was wondering what critiques y'all would have, if any.

Really? That's quite impressive. How much?

I didn't say that Jack Emmert has had nothing to do with Champions Online since he handed the reigns over to Bill Roper. I said that he hasn't had much to do with it. There is a difference. I'm sure that he's had some influence and say in it, but, in the end, it's Bill Roper's baby now. Jack Emmert has as much to do with Champions Online at the moment as he had to do with City of Heroes from Issues 8 through 12, (which, incidentally, were some of the best issues City of Heroes has had yet, imo). Let's give credit where credit is due. People like to give Matt Miller kudos, and rightfully, for the direction City of Heroes took after Issue 8. Why, then, do people insist on blaming Jack Emmert for the direction Champions Online took after Bill Roper took over?

Really, y'all need to stop using Jack Emmert as some sort of boogeyman.
  19. Just fyi for anyone that cares, I hit up Ashley McKnight tonight when my Brute leveled to 35. She sent me to go see Imperious in Cim... whatever. I saw him, came back to Cap, and returned to Ashley. She had no more missions for me, but told me that she'd have something for me when I'm level 50.

So... apparently, you can not do the Origin of Power mission arc red side from levels 20 through 49. When my Brute obtains level 50, I'll go back to Ashley McKnight and let y'all know how that goes.

Wait. What? Emmert is involved with Star Trek Online?!

    ...seriously...?

(much wailing and gnashing of teeth)
... Uh... yeah. He handed Champions Online over to Bill Roper a year and a half ago so he could concentrate on Star Trek Online.
  21. Except Jack Emmert hasn't had much to do with Champions Online since November 2008, when he handed off the reigns to Bill Roper, for better or worse.
