    Soft-capped to ranged defense, and with 12 points of knockback protection to deal with Hamidon and those pesky Rikti pylons.

    With Issue 19, I was able to work in Vengeance, Hasten, and Super Speed. I currently have the Spiritual Radial Boost slotted for the extra recharge and healing (with Life Drain).

    I soloed the first 32 levels on this toon at -1x1, and hated it. I forced myself through it, 'cause I needed a bubbler for Rikti mothership raids. Since then, the Vigilance solo boost came with Issue 17, so it'd be a bit easier now, but not by much. I recently soloed a tip mission at 0x3, and while doable and very safe, it was extremely slow. I really would not recommend soloing on this toon, as Force Field / Dark Blast is meant to be team support, which it's great at. But for solo, just about anything else would be better.

    Like Force said above, it sounds like you didn't do the first Vanguard mission arc on that toon. You need to get the badge on that arc to be able to get more than 10 Vanguard merits.

    Fire / Sonic would be just a tad bit end heavy. Rad would probably be a better fit there.
  4. Glad to hear it, and thanks for coming out. Even with all the new stuff added to the game recently, Rikti mothership raids are still my favorite thing to do in the game. Although I really do like the new Tin Mage Task Force.

The team bombers would have to be sure to have the team teleport prompt on, and even then that'd be something extra for them to click while trying to place a bomb.

    No.

    You could team teleport to the Rikti Pylons, but you'd just end up wasting everyone's time, as your teammates will probably already be at the Rikti Pylon by the time you've teleported them. In addition, Vanguard merits do not start accumulating until we reach the mothership. Once we're at the mothership, team teleport won't make an iota of difference as we're all just kicking Rikti butt in and around the bowl.

  17. So, apparently, there's a meet and greet with the developers on the Test server tonight at 8 P.M. ET / 5 P.M. PT. I don't know if there'll be enough interest to run a Rikti mothership raid tonight when people can frolick in the snow on the Test server with Positron. :P

  20. Why can Katana not be paired with Shield Defense? I know the argument is or was that Katana is two-handed, and thus can not use shields. However, Dual Blades Brutes and Scrappers can wield two katanas, one in each hand, so that invalidates that argument. So what is the real deal?

    Bring: (Preferably level 50) Arachnos Spiders, Arachnos Widows, Blasters, Brutes (with or without Taunt), Corruptors, Controllers, Defenders, Dominators, Peacebringers, Scrappers, Stalkers, Tankers (preferably with Taunt), and Warshades. If your supergroup base has a stockpile of Essence of Earth inspirations, bring some of those too.

    Raid leaders will be announced at form up. The raid will be evacless, and we will complete all four waves of mito spawns before finishing off Hamidon.

  23. Um, the vast majority of the game's content is mission based. You're seriously trying to tell us that you don't get capes for your toons because running the cape mission arc is too painful, and that you won't get any Incarnate stuff on your toons because you have to run a mission arc?
