I can name a Dual Pistols / Dark Corruptor. The Shadow.
-
Yeah. I'm so used to playing Electric Armor Brutes for years now. Knives of Artemis, Malta, Rikti, and Carnies are all jokes.
Lately, I've been playing my Dual Pistols / Dark Miasma Corruptor, my first Corruptor, who dinged level 41 last night and was sent on a mission by Black Scorpion to beat up Malta. I was going through it thinking, "Silly Malta, tee hee." Then I noticed my endurance disappearing. Dang Sappers. -
Quote:Champion BMSTT. :PWhich I actually appreciate, having just moved a few more alts to Champ.
I was invited to BMT some time ago, and though I don't often "speak up" in it, I do keep an eye on it. However, "variety is the spice of life", so having access to another channel would not be a bad thing.
The work around that I've seen on other severs is klunky, but it does do the trick... Create a new channel (Champ2011, or some such), and give the current and active players a month or so to switch over, leaving the inactives behind (the MOTD for the old channel can re-direct to the new channel).
Yes, it's klunky
Yes, it's a PITA
But sometimes, change is good.

I farm Borea missions in the Rikti War Zone at +1x8 for purples on my Super Strength / Electric Armor Brute. The Brute kills Rikti dead. I thought about doing +0x8, but since my SS / Elec Brute has a Tier 4 Spiritual Alpha, blue con Rikti just feels like cheating.

Quote:So... you're complaining that a change being made will make "bad" Kins better, while making things easier for "good" Kins? Mmkay.Gotta say I really dislike the buff change. All I see it doing is making me feel a whole lot less involved with all aspects of my character. Really it only caters to the lazy. Seeing a good kin as opposed to a bad kin on a team was probably the most noticeable thing you'd ever see (and man is it noticeable), same with many other support sets, and having good players on those roles can define a run, especially the ones that can set pace. Sure this won't really take anything away from them, but it doesn't really help those that can't, it just gives them less buttons to mash.

7 p.m. Et / 4 p.m. Pt.
Edit: What the heck? Apparently you can't capitalize p.m. or Et or Pt anymore... Grr. -

I helped a friend last night with the final mission of Mender Ramiel's mission arc. During the cut scene, I had a close look at Emperor Marcus Cole... and... well, is it just me, or does he have a strikingly uncanny resemblance to Charlie Sheen?
Emperor Marcus Cole... WINNING! -
Quote:So, y'all know that this fix is bugged, yet allowed it to go live regardless. Wonderful!Patch notes for build 2010.201105131851.1.0
Incarnate Powers- Toggle and Auto powers will collectively only apply the effects of the Interface slot procs once every 10 seconds across all Toggle/Auto powers. Click power Interface slot procs are unaffected by this timer. Known Issue: This fix currently causes the Interface proc to only occur versus one target in a round of procs. This is unintentional and will be fixed in a future patch.

Would an Electric / ? Tanker be any good for team based Arena PvP? If so, any suggestions for secondary?

I ran an experiment on Friday night. I lead an impromptu Rikti mothership raid on Champion... on a Brute. We had four full teams, and not one bubbler - no one with Force Field nor Sonic Resonance. I employed the strategy that I normally use when we have at least two bubblers in a raid.
It was a complete success.
Why? Because the vast majority on the raid were Incarnates, and those with Barrier and Clarion kept them up throughout the raid.
Now that it is confirmed that bubblers are pretty much useless even on Rikti mothership raids, I'm just going to move that character over to my "graveyard" server where I put all of my retired characters, and make a new Celestial Lord. :\ -
Afaik, Sonic Resonance's graphics have been considered "fixed" since Issue 10, nearly four years ago.

Quote:Just the name. The character itself would be left intact. Should the player return to the game, he or she would be forced to rename the character the next time he / she logs on that character.Ive never seen a Name Purge before (almost on my 35-36 month badge) but does it also delete the actual character or just the name?
It wouldnt be so bad if only the name is wiped but the character is left as is.
If someone then did log back in who hadnt for 3+ years then all their toons, IO's, INF, etc would still be there but the characters would have no names.
When they login with that character they need to go through the naming process again.
While some people will be upset (no matter WHAT happens in-game someone is upset over it) it should be an even smaller minority. -
Quote:See this thread, where I specifically suggested just that. The more people that respond positively, perhaps Paragon Studios will notice.I could go on a rant about how I feel they should do a name purge of all account who haven't been active for years, but I'll skip that.

Lady Grey Task Force Tuesday tonight. Assuming there's a Rikti War Zone 2, that's where we'll meet up so as to not interfere with the Incarnate trials. Gather up in the Vanguard base at 9:30 P.M. ET / 6:30 P.M. PT.

*Goes to look at the Google Calendar.*

So there is. I'm not sure how a second MoLGTF run by me wound up on the calendar, but regardless, it's a mistake. Tuesdays are for Task Force Tuesday.Sorry.

Honestly, it's pretty clear that Going Rogue failed. The meager bump in subscriber numbers that the game experienced when Going Rogue went live is gone, and now the game has even fewer subscriptions than the period before Going Rogue. Too little, too late I suppose.
Though it does explain why they're charging $8 for emotes, and the game servers have become increasingly laggy over the past couple of years... -
Sigh. If my bubbler didn't have the Bug Hunter badge, I'd consider stripping and deleting him. Oh well. I can always transfer him to my graveyard server and make a new Celestial Lord I suppose.

The thing is, the main reason I rolled a Force Field Defender was for the mez protection. Before Issue 20, a bubbler offered +defense, and mez protection. A Cold Dom offered +defense, and debuffs. Before Issue 20, most teams would pick a Cold Dom over a bubbler. Now with Issue 20, there's even less reason to pick or play a bubbler compared to a cold dom, who can now offer +defense, debuffs, and mez protection. I just don't see the point to bubblers any more. It makes me sad that I pretty much wasted all that time on him. I soloed him from level 1 to 32 back in Issue 16, before the changes to Vigilance. Got a lot of badges on him. Now there's no point in playing him. Meh.
