Furthermore, Task Forces Recipes really need to be looked at and you might consider having these rewards dropping in game some other way or at least let the players make a "choice" upon TF completion. Garanteeing players to get a recipe they CAN use really wouldnt hurt the game IMHO.

Im all good with having TF/SF remaining team content requiring a specific amount of players.

However, please devs consider lowering the minimum team requirement for doing all the TF/SF in the game. I could live with a minimal requirement of 4 players. Content that require at least 7-8 players really is over the top especially if people drop or leave during it. It might even scare away players. Some wont even want to join and try the content because theyll be worried about wasting their time if some unreliable players decide to leave during TF.

Dear NCNC, if in the future you are to go along the line of making more and more buyable costume options not meant for standard subscribers to use then:

1. Could it be possible to make these extra costume options buyable separately?

2. That way players could only buy for a lower price what they really want for their chars and wouldnt get forced to pay for the sucky tunes that always come when you buy a whole album.

3. You know what i mean, the sucky stuff that is used as a filler to raise the purchase value when you pretty well know that most buyers only really wanted to get their hands on the "hit" and move on.

4. At least, you would sell stuff to people that in the current condition wont at all do business with you because 10$ simply isnt worth it.

I am not sure i understand. Can these new costumes also be earned by doing a special mission like the V-Day missions? Or they can only and only be earned by spending real money for them?

Ive been looking at the female new costume options and they look really nice. A real shame if they werent to become standard costume options. What a waste if all the nice stuff is getting "extra paid for" stuff.

Reminds me of the Hellenic sandals i never could get because of the stupid "invite a friend to the game" condition...

GvE for 10$ was a bit irritating but at least when you bought it you were getting some special temp powers that "most of your chars" could get to use in their hero career.

But now paying 10$ for some "great" costume pieces but still costume pieces maybe 1 or 2 of my chars would really want is kinda over the top. As great as costume options are, the replay value is kindal imitated unless you are willing to use these costume options (and emotes) for pretty much all your chars...

These costume pieces are looking great. Good job SexyJay, you made them pretty much like many of us asked them to be in the costume thread. Many of use were hoping to play with such options someday.

On the other hand, i understand his frustration. If your plan was to use the double xp weekend to advance a specific char but unfortunately you are not allowed to do so because the server wont let you join then yes, it sucks.

Lets face it. Some players will probably get shafted and see their "rare" double xp weekend completely wasted. But that is how things are. People get screwed all the time in the real world. What can you do? Got to accept the fact that either you are lucky and you log on the server or you cant log on and you are a loser. It really is that simple.

News for you, my friend: Travel Suppression was requested by players, as a replacement for what used to be: a fairly large -Accuracy debuff, for as long as the travel toggle was active.

Don't try to call it something "implemented without regard for player input", because it was implemented as the result of player input. And quite frankly, given your forum registration date ... you should be perfectly aware of this fact. (One of the few cases where I'll even pay attention to a Reg Date ...)

Back then people were alot divided. At first only Fly was -acc penalized. Then devs penalized ALL travel powers to be "fair". It is where players protested and we ended having travel suppression even though players kept protesting for weeks after its implementation.

Gotta tell the whole story you know. Maybe we had a choice. But WOW, what choices! More like: "Do you prefer that we hang you or you prefer that we shoot you?". Great choices heh

If anything, make an up to date build of CoX and bring it back on the store shelves so that potential players even know that this game still exist and is far from being old and dead.

For example, i am in Montreal and at my job i am the only one who plays CoX ( i bought the game 3 years ago before WoW came out ). All my other co-workers have been sucked up in WoW. 17 of them are playing it. I asked them if they tried CoX and they didnt even know what it was! Only one of them remembered having seen the game in store years ago but he bought WoW because friends were playing WoW...

Might be a bit too late to put a new version of the game on shelves for Xmas but some broad advertising in the year to come to let people know that CoX still is an uptodate game that still can compete with the most recent games could help. Just sayin...

My concern is that it'll turn into SWG all over again. Publishers, so far, in my experience are more interested in getting bullet point features onto their marketting promotions and on packaging as possible rather than actually adding features that are of use and are of a high quality. Take a look at SWG and its development history, it has alot of 'features' but their half broken and the publishers didn't care because in the end it looks good from a marketting angle.

Cryptic have proven themselves to have the attitude that if something is to be done, then it HAS to be done well. That kind of attitude is why I'd give any game they made a decent look because thats how games should be made. However NCSoft is a complete unknown except for Tabula Rasa which I have seen first hand and it smells of the game kind of attitude which dragged SWG into the gutter. Lots of features, not polished and features added which don't actually improve the experience for the player.

While the development control is with the devs still the choices in where the budget is spent and where deadlines are made is more firmly in the hands of the publisher now, not the dev team.

- got 12 slots for the past two years, if they had both at COV launch.
- Had access to SG bases from both sides.
- Already have had *at least* two months free, one for COH, one for COV - and if they added GVE, that's another month. Picked up the regular, then collectors edition? More free months.
