I don't think any of us who want a small group or solo path have ever expected it to be "at the same rate".

We just want something that is actually viable versus the current nigh non-existant snail route.

If that's true, and I believe it will be, *snip*
    On Beta:
    Toggles = 18.50%
    Passives = 7.50%

Both of these are the exact increase expected from the scrapper/brute numbers based on the tank mod numbers (scrapper number divided by 0.75).

    Enhancing we get:
    Toggles (18.5 * 1.6) = 29.6%
    Passives (7.5 * 1.6) = 12.0%

    Total = 41.6%

So, that doesn't quite get you there. Adding 1-slotted CJ (3.14%) still leaves you slightly short, too.

Or, as I suggested above, you could save yourself 6-slots (2 each from 3 slotting the passives) and get there with 1 more slot (Stdfst in Tough) saving 5 slots to work on those other things you mentioned.

edit to add: My current plan has roughly 2730 HP with all accolades.

edit2: Fully enhancing the 3 toggles plus the 1 slotted passives will also more than max out DDR, too, which is sweet.

My current incarnate rewards amount to about 1 shard an hour. I do not raid. Period. Never have and never will.

Remember, we're talking about solo (or small group) incarnate progress, which, for practical purposes, doesn't exist right now.

As shown in previous posts, if this is 1 per week total, it still won't exist for practical purposes.

I'd rather get there (59%) with Weave and go for another Alpha. But, that is just personal preference.

45% is ridiculously easy. I have an exemplar build planned that can keep 45% defense to M/R down to L10, possibly lower. Below level 13, AoE defense drops due to losing Lucky(18).

I think the point was you could get to 45% without either.

You can get 45% with slotted toggles, 1-slot passives, steadfast +3def, and 1-slot combat jumping.

Yeah, the whole "we'll look into a solo path" thing has left a bad taste for me. Luckily for me, "taking a break" from paying/playing now will still let me login and piddle around when I don't have another game to play.

Of course, there are 2 games coming out this fall/winter that I am really looking forward to buying, one of which is an MMO. I look forward to seeing how well it caters to my play style (casual and solo and story-oriented).

This is actually to you and Johnny both.

It looks to me like we'd be better off accepting the 10 threads. 1 Astral is only 4 threads. For actual progress through incarnate powers, the Astrals are less useful. The Astral store doesn't offer anything that moves you up through the incarnate tiers, just cosmetics and some IOs.

That depends on whether you are going for 45% (normal PvE) or 59% (iTrials, certain Tip mission mobs) defense.

If there are multiple arcs, and the reward is once per week per arc, that won't be too bad. You could conceivably finish 2-4 per week, even very casually.

If the reward is once per week total, instead of per arc, it's a pathetic way to progress.

In order to play with a build in Mids until they release the I21 update, you can use a DM/SR Brute. The power order and defense values won't be right, but you can at least plan slots and IOs.

The defense is actually easy to calculate. Just divide the defense (before IO defense bonuses) by 0.75 and you'll have your tanks defense numbers.

I agree with the others above that Leadership is probably not the best way to go, but that's a personal preference and it can work just fine for you.
  11. My current Main has two builds, one for content Level 1 to 29, and one for content Level 30 to 50.

My new main once I21 comes out will have three eventually. One for Level 1 to 20, one for Level 21 to 29, and one for Level 30 to 50.

I like to be able to run any and all missions through Flashbacks at as high a difficulty as I can manage by having an exemplar friendly/tailored build for it.
  12. Diminishing returns, leading to immunity, on both debuffs (particularly -defense, which is rampant, and -tohit) and Status Effects (not being able to play/react is frustrating, not fun or challenging) applied to Player Characters.

In the same theme, some of the debuff values are just ridiculous. Getting -60% defense or tohit from being hit once is absurd. The debuff values need to be normalized and scaled better.
  13. This seems like as good a place as any to ask this...

Does anyone know if the passive scaling resists work off Current MaxHP, or if they work off Base MaxHP.

I know how they work, I just never really thought to quantify that factoid.

It seems like it could make a huge difference (1874hp vs 2650+hp).
  14. For an Elec/ who doesn't have need of the other things (as noted above by Hyperstrike), the Tier 4 Radial Musculature is pretty nice.

It gives you the Damage enhancement, but it also modifies EndMod enhancement. This means that PSink will sap (and return) even more End. Lightning Field will also sap a bit more (from 3% up to 4% otherwise unenhanced).

    PANCAKE Leagues!

Yeah, there are problems with this. My only RL friend who plays has quit over it already.

And, he has ATI. And, he tried every driver from 11.2 to 11.7. The older drivers were better, in that it took longer for him to crash.

He plays multiple other games with no issues at all, so his rig is doing fine otherwise.
  16. I'll throw my revision out there. Exact same powers. 43.6M/43.6R/41.8A.

Yes, it can. It is easy to set up, too.

In Mids, go to Options->Configuration, go to the 2nd tab (Effects and Math). Find the box on the right side with check boxes, and check "Attacked".

Now stealth will show the "in combat" value instead of the stealthed value. Also handy for any other stealth class powers (veats, stalkers).

Nope. Afterburner just allows you to exceed/bypass the current flight speed cap. The flight speed cap using it goes up by roughly +13mph.

They are listing these Procs in a new way. They are listed as roughly X number of times Per Minute. Some are 3 per minute, some are 4 per minute.

We'll have to get more detail before seeing if someone can break that down into a % per attack.

Except for the Fury bonus, which is just Extra Fury generated per attack.

Mind Control/Mass Confusion: 6-slotted with Malaise's (the purple set is in Confuse).

    Even:
    Damage bonus (2.5%)
    Defense bonus (3.13% R/1.565% E/NE)

    Gain:
    Recharge (8.75 - 6.25 = 2.5%)
    Accuracy (9%)
    Confuse (3% - 2.5% = 0.5%)
Status Duration (other stuff in addition to confuse)
edit: and the Chance for +DMG, too.

    Lose:
    Recovery (2.5%)

I'll be making that swap. That's a win for me.
  21. The Chance for Placate proc only serves one good purpose that I can see.

You see, some Purple IO has to be the Least Valuable on the market. And, I'm pretty sure that = Chance for Placate.

I just 5 slot the set (leaving out the Placate chance IO) and move along.

The Recharge portion of Spiritual does not, but most other things do.

    Examples:
Musculature: Makes Justice nuke hit harder. Also, pretty sure Interface damage portion, too. Oh, and Lore pets, too.
Musculature (EndMod): Makes Ageless return more END.
Spiritual (Heal): Makes Rebirth heal/regen more.
  23. That build is indeed extreme! Wow.
  24. Here is a sample I threw together that hits +59% Defense (softcap for new mobs with 64% to-hit, example: iTrial mobs), sub-6 second FS, hasten downtime sub-10 seconds (with Spiritual Core).

Even without the +3 Defense PvP IO (ridiculously expensive), it would be effective.

It's not perfect and not optimized (I just made it in like 2 minutes), but it could give you some ideas to work with.
