As disclosed all 9 Traps powers are useful solo
Now Time Bomb I'd argue is pretty impotent period (as compared say to the Omega Maneuver), but if it is going to be used it will be used far more solo than teamed. -
Quote:Most ?Most of a defenders primary does nothing for him solo, yet a controller solo can buff his pet to hell and beyond. That is a force multiplier also. If your controller isnt a force multiplier on teams, you arent doing it right.

Quote:What controller secondary has a direct damage power ? (Rad with fallout is the only one I can think of)wow, a controller with no secondary. I didnt think you could make one.
Note the defender numbers are also unbuffed in that case by their own primary, and will generally be buffed more than the troller ones. -
Quote:Why invite a controller (who outside of a few edge case do sub-par damage to defenders) when you can have stronger buff/debuff and damage ?Yes, indeed I do. I acknowledged what you said...And then made a separate point, which was essentially something I've said earlier "Why invite a Defender when you can invite a Controller?".
<edit>
Take a Ice troller - unenhanced numbers
Chillblain 30.6 Damage (ST)
Block of ice 30.6 damage
Frostbite 9.18 AOE
Flash Freeze 6.12 AOE
Now containment can leverage that 30.6 to 61.2 if you have the target mezzed
Take a /Ice Defender
Ice Bolt 36.1
Ice Blast 59.3
Ice Breath 50.6 (Cone)
Freeze Ray 3.61
Ice Storm 116.8 (AOE)
Bitter Ice Blast 82.4
Bitter Freeze Ray 47.7
Ice blast (the 2nd power) is about equivalent to the best damage output you can expect from an ice troller, and thats assuming you slot the hold for damage rather than control.
/Ice blast has far superior AOE damage (yay for teaming) and even has decent control (2 holds plus slows) -
Not at all. Adding a defender you have added effectiveness to the whole team (through buff/debuffs and the like)
Add a Scrapper you have added damage, but not mutliplied the other team mates.
Do you actually understand the phrase 'force multiplier' ? -
Not at all. Tankers and scrappers stack in a linear manner. Add a scarpper you have added a scrapper
Blasters are close to linear. Defenders and controllers act in a multiplicative manner. They force multiply the whole team. Add a defender and you have added effectiveness to the whole team.
8 defenders can do anything in this game, usually far safer and faster than any sort of mixed team -
Defenders make every other AT unecessary, and they get more and more potent the more you force mutliply with them
-
Yes to all of those stacking (the only non-stacking sonic is sonic siphon which doesn't stack withitself but does with all other -res)
Players and critters have a minimum Resistance of -300%. -
Same here. Returned to the bad way on Triumph

Quote:For my single target chainNever seen a proc'd out claws scrapper eh? 2-3 acc/dmg HOs and 3-4 procs. It's damage will be insane.
Strike ToD proc, Gladiators Strike Proc
Slash Lady Grey proc, Hecatomb Proc
Follow-up ToD Proc
Focus Explosve Strike Proc, Apoc Proc
Basically on average I get 1-2 procs per run through. (The Purples have a high proc chance for greater damage)
Also single target:
Air Superiority ToD proc, Gladiators Strike Proc
Spin, Eviscerate and Shockwave each have a proc or two as well.
Its similar to the old Dark Melee Buzzsaw build, but actually much easier to achieve -
The level range is actually very tight (39-41), and this is a long standing issue with this trial.

The 2 billion inf cap is fairly well known at least within the market forums, but is not to my knowledge documented anywhere in game.
-
click on 'powers', at the top of the tab is combat attributes
scroll through the list of what you want to monitor and right click on them, and choose to monitor, it creates/adds to the little in screen window. -

Im not fixed on granite in its current form, and would much prefer something more akin to the other armours.

Quote:I remember a couple of groups like that. Great concept of villanous mercs for hireI used to be part of a VG that had a theme of mercenaries-for-hire... other VGs would contract with us to earn them prestige, we'd have a number of mercs join their VGs for however long it took, and get "paid" from the infamy they gave our officer for the service... was a lot of fun.

Of course the former #2 (the rivals) could be doing all boss AE farm, or even if perstige matters fighting certain AVs in AE missions that give huge rewards (Lord Recluse springs to mind).
Making a great deal of prestige fast isn't hard in a decent sized group, its just matter of knowing what to do. -

Tried a few times, waited then tried again.
Then confirmd in game that it wasn't just my character -

There has been no Dev comment about it being an exploit, unlike say the HO one (using defdebuff instead of defbuff)
-
Yes overslotting in Stamina is perfectly reasonable when trying to make a exemp build
-
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Exemplar...n_Enhancements
shows the math
For exemping down to level 20 consider frankenslotting level 25 Dual-Aspect IOs, level 43 Tri-Aspect IOs, and level 50 Quad-Aspect IOs. This is due to the minor bonus threshold (anything at 20% or below is unaffected by exemping to 21)
Taking a ranged attack and slotting:
Quote:Ruin - Accuracy/Endurance/Recharge: Level 40
Devastation - Accuracy/Damage/Endurance/Recharge: Level 50
Devastation - Accuracy/Damage/Recharge: Level 43
Thunderstrike - Accuracy/Damage/Endurance: Level 43
Thunderstrike - Damage/Endurance/Recharge: Level 43
Thunderstrike - Accuracy/Damage/Recharge: Level 43
gives a total bonus of: 93.18% Accuracy, 93.57% Damage, 76.8% Endurance Reduction and 93.18% Recharge Reduction at full effect from level 21 to 50.
