  1. My biggest concern with Customer support was the apparent inability to get bugs through to the Dev team

Arbiter Kim's hiring was a great step at rectifying that.

I dont like waiting for a hour to fix a broken spawn, and its only rarely I have seen a wait that bad (the one at the end of a Doc Q a year or so ago would have been annoying at 5 mins, let alone an hour), but understand that sometimes the queue fills up. The Majorityof times it has been under 10 mins -15 mins which is certainly good.

    GR issue number?

When COV came out, a few days before launch CoH got Issue 6.

This had all of the general changes associated with the expansion, access to the PvP zones, the little thing called ED and the like.

There will be an issue 'associated' with GR in the same way.

Originally there was a 60 day limit on items left on the market, but that was removed a couple of issues ago. The market is now essentially another personal bank where you can store a lot more stuff (especially multiple items of the same type, such as salvage).
The 60 day limit is still present for inactive accounts

Anyone who leaves for months will lose/have lost their stuff anyway.
  4. Did you go to a different server ?

There are 11 servers each with their own character slots
  5. If a critter can drop a level 50 common recipe, they can drop a purple.

    Typically thats 47 or higher

The boss has a higher chance of dropping a Pool A recipe (and therefore a chance at a purple) than a minion, though typically you can defeat several minions in the time it takes to defeat a boss.

I don't believe reg date or post count has any effect on these forums.

It may be a default for the system, but the mods changed it during the set-up

  9. My only thought to that Bill is that this Dev team seem very strict on risk/reward.

Want a TF challange to get more merits ? The only way the Devs have said they will implement that is if failing said challange nets you less.

I don't see 'critical success' in crafting ever being implemented without 'critical failure' of some sort.

And please, refrain from the "but you can earn them, just keep subscribing" trite. That's not an answer - and you know it.
    But its the answer.

Vet rewards are the epitome of 'fair', in that everyone has to do the exact same to earn them. There is no way to earn them faster. Every day, everyone who has paid for that day gets +1 day in progress.
  11. Werner,

yoiu know, its funny. I view myself as lazy in the extreme when it comes to slotting and my most common slotting is level 15 IO into level 25 IO and call it done. later slots will get 30 or 35 IO, but I tend not to replace the 25s unless with a set.

I find buying SOs evey 5 levels a very large hassle.

I find it funny that the same trait 'in game laziness' can oush someone to SO or IO, dpedning upon which part they feel is more effort. (Markets or the shopping at NPC stores)
  12. As far as I am aware (I haven't yet played Aion) MMOs that have a chance for bonuses on a crafting, also have a chnace for an ill effect, upto an including outright failure that uses up your materials and gives you nothing.

I do like the 100% reliable crafting-lite we have here, rather than rolling the dice each and every time.

    Median times:
    Task Forces 20 merits/hour (3 min)
    Trials 24 merits/hour (2.5 min)
    Story Arcs 12 merits/hour (5 min)

This is after the last round of changes which gave a significant boost to story arcs.
  14. I'm one of those people who haven't had a chance to log in this week due to RL intervening.

Im desperately hoping that enough people will be interested in taking down the banners come the weekend.

Then again, I can fully see where the OP is coming from, in that I normally get bored of the Halloween event after a couple of days, but thankfully there is the 'regular' game going on as well.
  15. I have seen one 'win' for the council, but it is obviously incredibly rare.

From your comment, it sounds like they are much more difficult to obtain than they used to be.

(Edited to add: I should have looked further down the forum list (and in the PvP forum)... there are a few threads that at least partly answers this question, doh! From what I read, I see now what you mean about 'back when', before the changes in the drops).

The drop from any PvP combat. Zone, arena and presumably base if it comes comes back

The basic situation is that any kill that could earn you rep has a roughly 1% chance of dropping a PvP IO, after that kill then the player cannot drop from you or your team mates for 5 mins.
(Arena has a sort of phantom rep tracking just for this purpose, no real rep is awarded)

When they very first came out any kill worked, so you had people afk farming in arenas, and a huge mass of 'target dummies' from 2nd accounts in certain PvP zones, notably Bloody bay where they could buy and pop awakens.

The only sure is More cowbell.

But Cowbell defence is waay behind even the legendary dual crossbow defence, so no cure as yet.

    Long after.

Supply is replenished just once per year, and the demand is roughly constant. (It increases after new powersets come out due to a splurge of new alts).

Supply and demand pretty much dictates a rising price until the next years event. As it happens there is a bit of a 'clearance sale' before the event, so prices start to come down before the event proper.
  21. I'm not sure where the 'bottom' will be.

Don't forget playing a level 50 earns significantly more influence per defeat since pohsyb fixed a long standing error

    Master Mind Bug

The new feature of pets zoning with you is still a little buggy.

once you get you first upgrade power (Equip Mercenary at level 6), you can hit the 'bugged' pet with that and it will put them back onto your list.

Targeted heals and other buffs usually work as well.
