Quote:Its not actually that wierd to understand. There are two rooms that trigger the spike. The large cell block, and that huge 6 level or whatever pump room with the multiple thin walkways. Then those Arachnos maps that have that weird lag spike thing in them... it would be nice if that got worked out with Going Rogue.
There is a lot of graphics and critters loading in a very short span once you move close enough to the room for the game to 'see' it.
Woudl be nice to have a fix, though. -
Quote:Open a ticket with support.Anyone know who I should contact to "argue my case", so to speak, and try and get my name back on the list...? (really REALLY want the badge *and* the beta...!)
I very much doubt they will be unreasonable about a short downtime, especially with the account pages being down. -
Quote:Before you delete them, list out the exact recipes and levels.
At this point I'm about to just delete them. As it looks like there just aren't enough buyers. Also want to point out again some items have a listing of 0 bidding and 1245 available.
Crushing Imapcts I happily take at most levels, but with 6 recipes and a 20 level spread there is little to no chance of me finding one listed by 'accident'.
0 bidding and 1245 available, for a recipe is a clue to just vendor it. -

10-14 isn't really a good spot to roll, unless you are level 10-15 or so.
The value there is in the procs, and requires a good low level.
35-39 is a good spot if you can roll that high.
For a lowbie rare salvage isn't that bad a choice, I apologise for missing that snippet before.
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/User:Catwhoorg#30-34_3
give a breakdown of over 400 rolls I made at the 30-34 level. -
Quote:So undead Ponies as MM customised henchmen in GR.I'm going to kill everyone's pony and say that as long as I am on this project, it will never happen. They will have to replace me with a gibbering idiot to get the okay to move forward with animation and VFX needed to support 'underwater' zones.
And then it will take years and ultimately look stupid.
P.S. Aquaman is lame!
THATS what marketing wouldn't let Posi say. -
Taking a step out of genre and into Babylon 5.
How about the character, who was unelected, came into his position through dubious means, and acted without accountability to anyone. Had a secret organization who did his bidding, and were completely willing to die for him.
The launched a war against an alien race, and smuggled weapons of mass destruction for use against a civilian target (a city) under the guise of peace negotiations.
That is Captain John Sheridan...
There is a huge space of story to be opened up by having the Preatorians be ambiguous rather than the Goatee versions. I am looking forward to it. -
Is that his name though? Or just what the masses led on by the War Criminal Statesman's propaganda call him ?
-
Merged markets: easy example
New villains sell luck charms from those snake missions for more (heck sell any low tier salvage for more than the BM average)
New villains benefit from a merge which demonstrates nicely that villains are not cut and dried harmed by a merger.
A rich villain would be less locked out of the market than a level 1 hero.
You do know a level 1 hero recently became a millionaire without defeating a single mob, right ?
Even discounting extreme marketing like that, Level 1 heros build wealth from a lot lower base and a lot lower rate than an established villain. -
Quote:Per the wikiHas Portal Corp been open that long? If it has, then yes us going in to other dimensions without any form of non-interference certainly qualifies and "invading and interfering". It doesn't matter how things look on the surface folks can't just rush in and force a complete upheaval of a populaces way of life unless they ask for help.
the Statesman article has:
Quote:During the 1980s, he joined the Freedom Phalanx on expeditions into alternate dimensions and eventually battled the Reichsman, an evil version of himself from a reality where America had lost to Nazi Germany. After the fall of Communism, Statesman served as an adviser to the first independent Russian hero group, the Valiant Defenders of the Motherland, which made its appearance in 1993.
Quote:On July 7, 1988, the brilliant Dr. Brian Webb, former researcher for Freedom Phalanx, held a surprise press conference at this site. He announced that he had discovered a way to enter other dimensions. He demonstrated his technology for the awed spectators, even transporting a few lucky reporters and dignitaries to an alternate world. Dr. Webb said, 'My technology has proven that possibility is truly limitless. The future is what we make of it. -
Quote:Its one of those irregular verbs isn't it ?So the Praetorian disinformation has already started, has it?
I state it like it is.
You* tell only part of the stroy
They mouth propoganda and lies.
*generic 'you' not Golden Girl. See 'Yes Minister' for the background to irregular verbs like this. -
(SCR applies equally to saying a merger is a one way deal)
The 'damage' done by a merger ?
The markets go through massive changes caused by Deve events and new issues regularly. A merger would lead to a rapid establishment of a new equlibrium (2-4 weeks IMHO) and go forward from there. There is no damage there. A change yes. Damage ? No.
The result would be a villain is not disadvantaged by a slow poor market. Equal earnings via the market, and any per character disparity will not be larger than that already in existance. (slow soloer versus fire/kin trolelr or choice of redsider farm build). -
There are teams who specifically look to 'speed' through the LGTF.
This involves getting Miss Yin killed in the 1st mission, getting Infernia and Glacia killed in the 3rd, as well as stealth/recalling to objectives and defeating the minimum possible mobs.
Its certainly not how I like to run the TF, and I think if the team were plannign to run in that manner, they should have been better at communicating this ideally before it started and certainly during it.
For a 'general'/non-speed run through it sounds like you were going just fine. -
Quote:I dispute that once merged they system couldn't be put back. There are reason to merge and there are reasons not to merge. Problem is once you merge you can't go back so the devs have to really see the issues not to merge to not be crippling reasons.
It may be difficult or tedious, but it certainly would be possible. (each bid/sale/item is associtaed with a charater, that character is associated with a side.) -
Heck you could even use the real 'Rogue Arachnos' faction (the Warburg guys) as a starting point for your SoA.

Quote:Last night as I was running a Posi, I thought: you know I could roll a suitable brute to be redeemed. Farm Posi to the merit cap (or boredom sets in), then swap back and make a lot of rolls. And there will be some like me, who go from blue to red. Or go from red to blue, IO out and then go back to red.
Profit! -
Quote:I have it saved on my older desktop machine. There was a player a while back went by the name of Hobo_Healer that posted a video of himself soloing Infernal I believe it was on his Emp Dark Defender. Can't find the video now, but I'm too lazy to look very hard for it.
With a bio buffed Shivan (+fort + AB) and an Amy, I think Hobo got a couple of shots into infernal before he got stomped. Super fast it was. -
Runngin through a few dimensional variations of the Whoorg interdimensional genepool
Catwhoorg - (claws/regen scrapper) Whiter than white, a real old school paladin type believer and staunch knight, with an absolute moral code. Hero staying hero, will not shift one Iota.
ShadowCatwhoorg - (claws/regen stalker) Insane. Bent, twisted loves to torture people. Evil incarnate for most of the time, then he gets really nasty. Killed several times by his VG leader for plotting against him, but still he tries. Villain staying villain
CatwhoorgShade - (dark/dark brute) He is already a very unwilling villain. Forced to act against his free will through magcial means. His story has alwasy been one with the hope of redemption. Will go to rogue, then hero. (must finish up the associated AE story sometime, it ties in with one of my wifes characters)
Commander Voorg - (Crab Spider) A recruit from Axis Amerika, he believes 100% in the growth through struggle and survival of the fittest. He could get along REALLY well with Emperor Cole. Not quite sure where his story will take him.
The Next generation
Lil Fluffy (claws/dark scrapper) lives an ambiguous existance already. She is driven by the desire to rescue her kidnapped and brainwashed sister (cf Catwhoorgshade comment). Its going to be interesting to see just how far would she be willing to go along the path. Maybe for one to be redeemed another must fall.
One other.
Mister England - (Ice/NRG blaster). The centerpiece for one of my AE arcs already. A vigilante who went too far too often. -
I have the great joy of having my wife play alongside me.
Outside of that, one of my companies former sales guys (he moved on companies a couple fo years ago) was fairly active, but eventually he defected to WOW.
(Hmm theres a good chance I'll see him in a couple of weeks, I'll have to make sure he is aware of the recent changes, and knows GR is coming down the pipeline)
I have come accross a few folks travelling round to customers.
Had one guy come up to me at an airport, after he spotted the forums.
So we are out there. -
Its the age old concept isn't it.
People have craved 'strong leadership' who will 'do what is necessary' throughout history.
Dont forget 'Primal Earth' 'Statesman' is a war criminal who led an unjustified and illegal invasion of a sovereign nation just a few years ago. Since the 80's he has been invading and interfering in the internal affairs of other dimensions without cause.
Don't buy into his propoganda.
-
Quote:But isn't 'Primal Earth' the ones picking the fights with him. I mean the whole Dimensiional invasion was started from this end.If Emperor Cole was smart, he wouldn't be picking a fight with "Primal" Earth.
They are taking 'necessary defensive' measures against unwarranted aggression.
From a certain point of view of course -
Bronze recipe roll 60-75 tickets
Rare Salvage 540 tickets (or 7-9 bronze rolls)
Over any sort of reasonable timeframe for averaging to occur, bronze rolls will consistently outperform the rare salvage.
Using on uncommon salvage (80) you could see a niche for when crafting during the height of the AE farming as uncommon prices were higher and very unstable. These days It is much better to just buy the salvage. Heck even at buy it NAO prices, I don't think I have spent more than 5001 inf on a uncommon. In most cases for a recipe I have placed on the market since the last issue, the uncommon component has been cheaper than the commons. -
Quote:http://cit.cohtitan.com/character/statsThere USED to be a fan website I think on the Titan Network where people could register their characters, and you could actually SORT the results by popularity and commonality.
I wonder whatever happened to that database?
Origin Count
Natural 8,419
Magic 8,173
Mutation 6,117
Technology 4,770
Science 4,504
Certain Stats became available again a week or so ago.
NB obviously the pool of data is self-selecting etc etc usual caveats apply. -
The Silos 'TF' was a good way of getting progress for me. the 2nd mission especially.
-
That is impressive.
I'm going to run a low end build like Squez did, probably my emp/elec just not sure when.
