Christian Era...
In Cox terms I have seen it used for:
Collector Edition and Council Empire
At a guess I'd go with the latter, a big outdoor map packed with mainly S/L mobs. -
+recharge is the way I would go.
Then think about adding damage procs to the key attacks. With Claws fast animations and recharge they can really beef up the DPS. -
-
I noticed after this Issue 231 patch, that I seem to be missing more often.
I am sure that the Devs nerfed accuracy.
Don't tell me to grab Herostats and post logs, everyone knows that impressions are more important than statistics. -
Quote:and he eats Hamsters!Sorry, chief. Some of us have worked long and hard to put Sun where he belongs... We will work to him there! Sun has been earning negative rep since before CoH came into existance, and I suspect he will be earning neg rep until we all die of old age... he is just like that.
:P -
I may have one slotted on a character I was planning a respec for. I'll check tonight.

Freedom and Virtue are the usual #1 and #2.
I think your goals are more in line with the server 'feel' of Freedom than Virtue.
I will be sorry to see you leave Triumph. Don't be a stranger.
I'd also recommned you have a look at the repeat offenders network. With your love of the super team concept, that may be a good home for you.

My Current build on Catwhoorg
Fast Healing 2 level 50 Heal IO
Quick Recover 3 End Mod Level 50 IO
Reconstruction 6 Doctored Wounds
Dull Pain 6 Doctored Wounds
Integration 3 Golgi
Instant Healing 1 Recharge IO
MoG 1 Recharge IO
15 slots allocated beyond the free ones
Skipped
Resiliance
Revive
Comparting to my other level 50 Scrapper who is /SR
3 Toggles 6 slots each
3 Passives 3 slots each
Practiced Brawler 2 Recharge IO
Elude 1 Recharge IO
Quickness 1 run Speed IO
22 slots allocated beyond the free ones
Admitedly 6 of those in the toggles are specifically for IO set bonuses, so dropping the toggles to 4 each puts /regen and /SR basically the same -
2.1 has distinctly less moderation of off topic.

The level of the mobs doesn't affect the drop rate
(It does affect the drops themselves, so assumign you are thinking of -1x8 at 50, you get level 49 uncommons and rare recipes)
The rank of the mobs does affect it, bosses drop more often, then Lts then minions.
of course you can with AOE kill a lot of minions fast, which affects the recipes/time -
Got to agree with Roderick there.
However, there is a cross platform one under development but these things move at their own pace. -
At a guess, that would be due to a scripting/permissions/security type option within your browser.
Exactly which option though I have no idea. -
1 additional day job badge was added - architect, with the associated accolade as well.

The (admitedly flawed) analogy I would throw out there.
I look at my Doctoral Thesis from time to time, and honestly I wonder how I ever passed. By my standards today it is a terribly written piece of work, with more than a little stretching of points.
These days my technical wirting is orders of magnitude better, and I draw out the salient points in an easy to understand way (so my reveiws say anyway).
The Thesis was written in word, graphs were plotted in excel. The same basic tools as I use today.
I as a person have got better at doing the writing and analysis. The 'state of the art' of technical writing hasn't really changed in the last 10 or so years, but I have.
Thats how I see it with the older arcs. The people writing them have grown in their own skills, and competance. They have leanrt some lessons about fun arcs and twists, and about Epic doesn't mean long.
In addition the tools they have available have chnaged.
Those intial arcs were written in Wordpad. Later additions migrated to Excel with some macros. Now the Devs have an 'internal' MA style creation tool.
I would rather the content Devs spend time writing new arcs, than revisiting old ones ecept in the most basic way. I do think every arc deserves a special map of some sort. Not necessarily unique, but something to make each one a little bit more memorable.
(Think Lou's Garage or the Freakolypics Finale) -
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=122292
has the same sort of rundown as the hero thread posted above -
Rogues/Vigilantes from what we know can enter the 'other' side of the city and can do some portion of the content there.
If there is nothing added to remain a 'pure' hero/villain, then rogue/vigilante becomes the default 'best'
Again, I dont think IOs will be it, but there must be something. -

Everyone on the team gets merits.
In cases like Buck Salinger, everyone unlocks Mary as a TF contact as well. -
Would you accept a 15 fold increase in endurance cost per shield for the 15 fold increase in duration ?
That would be a 146.25 base cost per shield btw. (MM is 9.75 currently) -
Posi did say in an interview that there would be something of a reward/incentive for staying 'pure' Hero/Villain.
I doubt this idea would be it, but certainly the possibility is there.
Something needs to be in place to stop the 'default' best position being that of getting to Rogue/Vigilante and staying there. -
FFL FF and FFR all have Oro-crytals
(as does GH and Wildcards for sure amonsgt the coalition, I'd have to check the others and this is something that anyone in the base can use -just like the autodoc)
I think the basis for that comment is best given by an example:
Take the Negotiator badge mission for example. (Defeat all clockwork and Skulls)
The flashback version has the contact in Galaxy City, the mission is always in KR.
From Oro your 'best' options are Atlas, Galaxy (via the contact) or Talos
AP - yellow line to KR
GC has a decent walk accross the zone (its pre-travel power) then yellow line to KR
Talos -Pocket D - KR
From the base crystal you start the flashback, walk to the teleporters and its straight to KR.
Its also a great shortcut BACK to the contact from any city zone, by going into the base, use the crystal to TP to contact. -

Whilst doing one of those busy for a minute then wait for 5 repetitive tasks laboratory work is famous for, I was catching up on my background reading.
Came accross the above article in my paper copy, then wen to find the online versions.
Its a nice little primer on supply and demand, and some of the reasons why in real-life somethings have s/D curves which are elastic and others are inelastic. -
Happy Birthday Steelclaw.
From one 40 year old to another, if it is down hill from here let it be the sort of downhill that gets people screaming and enjoying themselves, like a roller coaster or a Bobsled run.
We will not go easily, nor quietly into the middle age they talk about. -
Quote:In general terms the median time to earn X merits is the same redside and blueside. The only thing that would be nice is if Villians had similar Story Arcs to run with regards to Merit rewards, then I would do it over there with a Brute.
Later,
Redside has more shorter arcs, that in theory add up to close to the same return for the time.
I have earnt quite a lot of merits on my brute this way.
In practice however, a speeder can generally shave of a larger slice of time on the longer arcs, which is an advantage to the bluesiders. -
As this thread pops up first in the list via search on "Kismet"
I would like to add that the buff is actually a to-hit buff rather than an accuracy buff.
(The IO description is wrong, and this is easily verfied by the real numbers in game)
Sorry for the tiny hijack Heraclea.
I know you are aware of this, this answer is for those who do use the search feature
