  2. Badge #1 is a login badge

Badge #2 is for defeating the Lord of Winter.
    Summary of method:
    a) get presents in zone and defeat winter horde
    b) when enough winter horde have been defeated a Winter Lord appears
    c) Defeat Winter Lord and he drops a big present with a count down. (~ 5 misn to organise for next pahse)
    d) Click on present to get to Lord of Winter's Realm. He is a huge bag o HP. At 75%, 50% and 25% he summons another Winter Lord and phases until that summon is defeated.
    e) defeat the big guy (and in so doing defeat the 3 summons) and get 8 merits and 20 Candy canes.
    f) (optional) mop up more horde in the realm for more candy canes.
  3. Just this weekend I was looking long and hard at my Triumph list (it was at 36 on my main account) about who I could purge. I deleted one character, and was thinking about another couple that could be deleted.

This is perfect timing for me, in that I can free up some slots on Triumph. Pull the one character I care about that is on Freedom off and still have slots there ready for Going Rogue.

Thank you Paragon Studios. This is a great suprise present.
  4. I'll happily keep global handles out of a 'in-game' significance.

How would a PR type represent heroes and villains at the same time ? I know most of my bluesiders would not deal with someone wh was dealing with redisders.

Its the one thing in game that is ME as a player. Its a in-game way of getting a hold of ME, no matter what character I am on. (or even not on, as Gtells are there when I login)
  5. Before merits, if I ran the Posi TF with a level 23 I would get a level 23 recipe drop at the end. No ifs, buts or choices.

Since merits came along that level 23, whilst getting enough merits to have 3 random rolls from Posi, they are more likely to save them until later and roll at a higher level.

And how do these pie-in-the-sky Fire/Kin babies's builds get made? Hell, every one has five LotG +7.5.
There is a distinct element of 'buildpr0n' on the forums. Just because you see these builds posted, it doesn't mean that 1) anyone actually has them, or 2) they are attainable.

The Min/Max portion of the game population is heavily over-represented in builds posted. I mean why would people even ask for a SO fire/kin build ? its so easy to put one togther.
  6. Dull Pain is a funny power.

1st it increases the maximum hit points
2nd it adjust so your current HP is the same % of the new total
3rd it then applies the healing amount.

Stupid_Fanboy's guide is still the best reference out there on this power and the analogues.

    The Mastermind

Teir 8 is your 3rd Henchman

Lets run down the layout of a MM primary

    Tier 1/2: 1st Henchmen
    Tier 1/2: Single target attack
Tier 3: Stronger single target attack
    Teir 4: 1st upgrade
    Tier 5: AOE/ranged Cone Attack
    Teir 6: 2nd Henchmen
    Tier 7: 'Utility power'
    Tier 8: 3rd Henchmen
    Tier 9: 2nd upgrade

Tier 7 is the only possible location, and that power is things like soul extraction for necro, gang war in Thugs, Smoke flash in Ninja. Its really where the only different flavour for a primary comes in.

Maybe, at a stretch, this suggestion could be the tier 7 power in a newly designed set, but pulling a grab bag of powers out of the existing primairies is pretty much not going to happen. (Cottage rule)

I'll echo the thought of Deacon_NA. My Crab plays much more in line with this, his fast recharging pets are always there, and he brings out the big guns for a tough fight. He is certainly not lacking in the personal damage and survivability department.

Spiderlings have 600s base recharge and 240s duration (150% recharge to perma - relatively easy to achieve with 100% from 3 level 50 recharge IO)
Disruptors and patron pets have 900s base recharge and 240s duration (275% recharge to perma - hard but possible)

  9. If your version is pre-i16, the advice would be to do a complete reinstall.
  10. Independently of this effort I have been putting up a good number of flashback derived level 14-15 and 25 ish Pool A drops on redside.

Busy running flashbacks for badges and merits in my 'spare' time. Even if there are zero bids out, I'll list em and keep them listed until I need the market slot.
  11. Now I'm home for the evening and have a little more time some background.

4 years ago, in the midst of the CuppaJo era we had many many silly cake versus pie 'wars' as thread derailments. Mind you that still goes on....

Some one of the 'old guard' (and I admit my memory of who is hazy) created the whole Shplekenfugheimer's Day is some sort of pastry induced haze of silliness.

It last oooh all of maybe 5 mins on Wikipedia, but then found its true home in the midst of the silliness that is the Uncyclopedia.

I mark it on my calander each year, and for me it is a day when I think back to the forums and the friends who have come and gone.

Heres to you COH community (and now I can have a REAL drink with my cake), without a shadow of doubt one of the best there is in the MMO world, and despite our many disagreements we are just one big happy (dysfunctional of course) family.
  12. Clamor's gimmick is her rad debuffs.

Between the two of you, you should have enough damage output assuming you can hit through them.

I'd second the advice of grabbing a shivan shard, not to use at first but in case things don't go well, you will have a fall back plan.

The clockwork king at 20 is pre-SOs. assuming you grabbed SOs (or IO equivalents) you damage potential went up significantly.

    Let us solo TFs

    Eva,

All TFs wouldn't get my vote. The STF, LRSF, 5th TF/SF, ITF and Lady Grey (and Faathim) should pretty much remain where they are (maybe drop to 6 for Lady Grey).

One of the great things about redside (IMHO) is that all the original SFs needed just 4 to start.
  14. http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/S...heimer%27s_Day

Today is the happy day where we can have our cake (or pie) and eat it too.

So stromp your stroodles and eat cake (or pie)* until you can eat no more.**

    * obviously this is not inciting any gluten intolerant people to make themselves ill.

** Always remember to eat to excess in moderation

*raises a piece of cake to forum friends present and past*
  15. I'll add my self as a +1 to the uses bases routinely camp.

Storage, crafting and zone to zone movement.
  16. 1. Its a significant portion of your overall mitigation, so for me this is a no brainier yes.

    2. Its a 6 slotter. 3 heal and 3 recharge is a good place to start. Doctored wounds in a decent IO set to place there.
  17. All low level arcs give merits. (though bluside most 1st and 2nd teir contacts dont have an arc )

Redside the very first two from Kalinda give an arc bonus each (wiki says 4 but I need to check that, I think it was different last time I ran hers)

Blueside Bonefire for example give 14, and the clockwork captive 13.

    Hell No.

What part of Team Content just is not understood these days?

Outside of Doc Quaterfield, and Faathim with their 4 simultaneous clickies. (And Hess with its 2).

Certain high levels ones (5th column, STF and LRSF have yet to be soloed to my knowledge)

These can and are being soloed, by people just jumping through a hoop to get enough to start it then quit.

Most really are no more team content than typical arcs
  19. Just lst night on my fire/NRG (level 45) exemped down on a synapse (20) I was able to fire off the relevant attacks during build-up when in a Tesla cage.

If you exprienced a bug its certainly not global in its effect so those detail logs become important.

Good luck with the squishing, and I'll keep my eyes open for a set of circumstances that duplicated it.

And i am sorry i just refuse to buy gold from koreans for dead game, i know many buy it, you know it is not allowed and can get you banned, regardless you still do it and break market prices even more. Surely it is my personal opinion but 2 bill for 1 IO is just wrong. And it wouldn't happen if ppl didn't go to <insert korean page here> and buy bill for 15 bucks.
You may want to stop insulting players who make influence legitimately by claiming they buy it.

Playing level 50s 'normally' nets vast amounts of influence, plus influence from normal drops (typically ~100 000 inf from a level 50 common recipe) plus of course the occasional purple that nets even more.

I have yet to drop 2 billion on an IO myself, but I dropped 1 billion and 1 inf a week ago. I wanted it, the going price in the last 5 was ramping up, and I wanted to make sure I got the next one listed. Its play money, easy come easy go.

Master Statesmans, arguably the toughest PVE challenge blueside. Ran it sucessfully, with a character whose 'rarest' sets are doctored wounds, thunderstrikes and a red fortune.

Purple IOs are simply not NEEDED in any way shape or form. I have one character with 5 sets blueside and I will be putting them on one redside where they make sense. (also as a mind dom, the confuse set is at the cheaper end anyway).

That puts them firmly in the category of alternative advancement, something to do at 50 if you wish.

I do apologize Mac. I just got a MSTF badge instead. (Typing between missions).

I didn't realise I NEEDED a purpled and PVP IOed character to do so...

A price market cap will have a negative effect on the market availablility.

If I can't list for example a Panacea unique for 2 billion inf on market, I'll list it for 2 billion OR MORE in a forum thread and wait. Knowing it is 'worth' that much I'll make sure I collect it.
  24. #1 and #2 just aint so.

#3 they dont have to do that.

I'm playing an entirely uncommon IO build (zero rares) on a Master STF tonight.
