Defeats and mission bonuses.
I have been running a lot of TFs and flashbacks with my 50. -
That's me getting confused with my lich (my highbie dark is of the MM variety)
-
With more data, the named Lt and the Blight drops aligned so my thoughts upthread are shown to be wrong... (thats why we do repeats)
Current data
Bosses 50.0% (44.5, 55.5)
Lts 22.4% (19.1, 25.7)
Minions 10.0% (8.2, 11.7)
Having defeated several thousand snowmen solo in pursuit of this, I'm putting this to rest for a bit (or maybe for the year). -
Quote:Thats the formulae used. The most recent change being the story arc being bumped from 0.4 to 0.6 in Issue 16
the formula used by the developers to calculate number of merits to award a task was described here:
(MedianTime / MPM) * TaskModifier * TimesRunModifier * TimeModifier + ArtificialModifiers
Decimals in the result are dropped off (ie: the result is rounded down).
* MedianTime: The datamined median time to complete the task
* MPM: The desired Minutes per Merit, currently 3.7
* TaskModifier: 1.5 if the task is a raid, 1.2 if the task is a trial, 1.0 if the task is a Task Force or Strike Force, and 0.6 if the task is a Story Arc
* TimesRunModifier: 1.0 if the task has been run enough times for the developers to be comfortable with the datamining, 0.6 otherwise
* TimeModifier: A percentage merit bonus equal to the median time divided by 20 (ex: the Synapse TF has a MedianTime of 194 minutes. 194 / 20 = 9.7, rounded up to 10% bonus)
* ArtificialModifier: Manually added bonuses or penalties to a given task.
One question that does lead to: was your redside/blueside comparison done after I16, or split to either side of it ? (if the latter then story arc merits were bumped basically by 50%) -
Arcs are balanced by median time taken. (determined by datamining)
Redside arcs tend to be shorter, so lower merits per arc. But there are more arcs available redside. -
GR has been announced as being 2Q next year.
Most likely around the anniversary I'd say.
Putting it off to 2011 would be just crazy -
There are missions at the end that require you to click 4 glowies simultaneously.
Its a no go for soloing, sorry -
the idea is to maximise the acutal enhancement values
A typical franekenslotting build will use
Acc/dam/recharge from 2-3 sets
Then
acc/dam/end from another couple
then a dam/rech or two to round out
specific example
Ruin - Accuracy/Endurance/Recharge:
Devastation - Accuracy/Damage/Endurance/Recharge:
Devastation - Accuracy/Damage/Recharge:
Thunderstrike - Accuracy/Damage/Endurance:
Thunderstrike - Damage/Endurance/Recharge:
Thunderstrike - Accuracy/Damage/Recharge:
Minimal set bonuses, but very strong in acc dam and recharge with good end reduction -
Quote:Its actually based on the waaaaay back machine when inf would roll over the 2 billion and change to a negative amount.I love player based conjecture based on never looking at the code. I'll give you a virtual cookie for your effort and a pat on the head.
Someone forgot an error check -

I have heard of sub-20 numbers doing it. I'm not sure the exact minimum it has been achieved by.
Once you get to the mid 30s in numbers its actually fairly easy. You certainly never 'needed' 50 -
It used to work with respecs, with the partial exception that it had minimal effect on level 50 ones due to some funky spawning rules anyway.
Its disabled along with the other TFs, and will return. -
Its hard to look past 3 acc/mez HO as a starting point.
Buffs the fear hold and immob durations -
With rad infection slotted for tohit debuff.
Anything but an AV is going to be at their to hit floor. I'd suggest looking at recharge more than +def, alos procing out those fast firing rad attacks with lady grey +dam
If you want to pursue defense, ranged is more common than AOE, and you should be able to keep them away quite nicely. -
Serum is valuable not just for the heal, but for the +HP.
Its a Dull Pain equivalent power. Adding 55-60% of your HP really adds to the survivability with the def that is running. -
I hate to state the obvious, but the attacks type which is most common doesn't matter that much.
How you play your character will push one type over another.
A tank gathering a nice tight group will face mostly melee
An archer using rain of arrows then mopping up stragglers will face predominately ranged.
Play style is going to have more of an effect that the average distribution of attacks into the categories -
3 more level 15 Pool Cs listed redside
You received Gift of the Ancients: +7.5% Run Speed (Recipe).
You received Razzle Dazzle: Chance for Immobilize (Recipe). <- Sold immediately
You received Kismet: Def/End/Rech (Recipe). -
I recall one instance yesterday, when one of the complainers logged on and asked about whats going on in the 'ITF channel' just after a Moonfire had kicked off.

Claws really is awesome.
Unless you mean in PVP, where it lacks burst damage -
Roasted Poodle.... The Christmas Dinner in the Whoorg household...

Quote:which ones...Supply and demand, i understand all about that. But when i looked to get a couple crafted 40 oblits, the last 5 still had a sept. date on it. That's screwed up if you ask me. If it takes 3 months to obtain 5 sold, i find that hard to place under the "supply and demand" category. On the other hand, if the last 5 sold were within the last week, there's you "supply and demand" argument. Then you can justify placing bids to let sit.
The TF drops (Quad and Proc) are created in the vast majority of cases at the the level cap (50), as that is the level people do random rolls at.
There is no way for a non-level 40 character to create a level 40 version of that recipe except by direct purchase of 200 merits (or whatever the exact price is). If I'm spending 200 merits to direct buy, I will be slotting it, not selling it. -
I'm of the kind that Triumph has a definite quality over quantity aspect going for it.
We do get great teams rolling, and I'm far less reticent about filling out a TF from TW 2.0 than I am on other servers when I roam there.
If someone is unhappy with the server, I'd strongly suggest they move to one that is more to their liking, rather than trying to change us.
