Spine burst got me killed on my spiney/regen more than any other power in any other combination.

So much so that I deleted him. It doesn't work out the same for most other primaries.

I'd rather keep COX going full throttle. There is such a richness of content here, that any new game (even a theoretical COX2) seems lacking.

It was stated that the only way we would get bonus merits for having a challange setting in place (like no deaths), would be if failing that challange had a penalty in merit terms.

I would still like to see them come into play even with the penalty if you fail em.

3-4 weeks is fairly typical.

The metric is for the median earning rate for an arc/SF/TF.

It is expected that there is a distribution both faster and slower than that rate.
If the arc/SF/TF significantly over or under rewards, there have been adjustments, and I have little doubt there will be more in the future.

Clamping the 'maximum earning rate' to the current median earning rate is reducing the rewards for half the arc completions, and would be a significant reduction in the overall merit earning rate.

Getting my DP/NRG blaster to 31 was the biggie.

What really got me in game this weekend, was playing with a few old friends who are on a break.

This specific weekend, was a reactivation weekend and I was so enjoying playing with a few old friends who are on a break from the game I forgot to read a lot of the mission text.

I spent maybe 5 billion putting that build together over time, that is the re-create it under current market conditions price tag.


Most of my characters that look into sets, have reliable stand buys (Crushing impacts, Thunderstrikes, doctored wounds, red fortunes), and put them together patiently.

The bulk of my characters get common IOs and a bit of Frankenslotting.

Otherwise, I have one near ranged def capped blaster who breaks that mold, and I'm slowly gather assets for my Crabs build and a perma mind dom.

Even the +ranged def blaster wasn't that expensive, under 100 million for what he has.

When I costed out Catwhoorgs build a few weeks ago, it was approx 12.5 billion inf, at the market pricing of that time.

I added a couple of extra IOs based on some feedback, which didn't change that approximation (it was 20 million or so).

I note that some of his PVP sets are more expensive again now, so to recreate that build would be pushing maybe 15 billion or so.

That is a data point for a 'lot of money' build.

Every set in a power* is either a purple or PVP-IO. He some single special IO (LOTG) and 15 or so HO scattered around.



*except fly, as there are no purple or PVP travel sets.

It USED to be very common.

You have to involve a 3rd party.

What you do is set the lowest rank such that they have invite privileges, but nothing else. No bin access.

Invite the 3rd party, then swap and have them invite your character.

I happily offer my services for an invite or two if you want, I'm normally available early evenings Eastern.

At low levels, the damage scales haven't set into their final levels. a Tank isn't dealing that much less than a scrapper, and a defender not that much less than a blaster.

AP is just full of dumb.
