As a Triumph regular, I beg to differ. That or you ended up on a lot of ignore lists. AP is not necessarily kicking with idle people, but most of us are off actually playing rather than standing round.

    Funny that.

None of the servers here are dead. However some of them can be 'cliquey'.

    Math proof is odd.

    http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Mathematic_Proof

It is used in 45-50 acc and end mod (+4 other commons).
Both should be desired, I think down to just massive supply from tech/dual drop farms.

If Junk is Junk, and not worth listing, then why are people manipulating it, as the demand is not there. Or maybe the price becomes high because no-one is listing as it is junk ? Hard to tell without specific examples to discuss.

And lets not forget that 'junk' is subjective. In the early days of I9, the LoTG +7.5% was sub 1 million (heck sub 100K IIRC) as people hadn't twigged what it really did and thought it was 'junk'.

Its not so very long ago that Kinetic Combats were in that 'junk' category, and all of a sudden now are very popular (I think partly that is fashion and will abate, but it is a good set, that is maybe inflated above its 'true' long term value). In general +recharge sets used to be the most sought after, but right now they have declined a little and +def sets are the fashion. In time that will change again.

I cannot address your comparison to the WOW buy out button, as I have never played that game, so don't have the knowledge to do so.

OK its not 6 (after 9 in fact) but 95 of the 100 filled.

Another 100 salvage bid upon wwhich will finish this round for the bins which I am sure will be filled by tomorrow.

Outside of luck charms (35 001 last 5 is all 50 000) all those were filled at less than half the current last 5 pricing, in some cases 10% of the last 5.

    Born Date?

Registered makes more sense, as that is the date the Hero licence is granted by the City

I'm not quite sure how to put it into redside terms, broken out maybe ?
  7. I use ToF in 2 ways. I don't have a DM at 50 (yet) so these are both during the leveling process.

    1) Ghetto hold. Use it on one critter, whilst finishing another. As you are not attacking that critter, its nearly as good as a hold and available for a scrapper much much earlier.

    2) Debuff. 11.25% -tohit, 20s duration so it is stackable without slotting. When leveling that makes a tough critter (such as an EB) miss significantly more often.
  8. HK

    Bid 2 billion

    gets anything on the market.

    Thats the buyout button.
  9. The purpose of the blasts is both damage and secondary effects.
As Garent said, generally slot for damage (plus acc endrec and recharge) as you would any other attack.

Taking the example of dark blast.
As Tohit debuff is schedule B, 3 slotting it is going to only give you 1.56 fold the debuff. Much better to fire off a second attack to get the double debuff straight away.

Darks twin cones work very nicely together for a large coverage of AOE -tohit

One secondary effect not covered yet is slow. Ice (and Dual Pistols) slow can be slotted, but even though slow is schedule A, the -recharge is not covered by the enhancements, so again its just better to get a 2nd attack off.

    All IMHo of course
  10. Catwhoorg took about 650 IIRC.

Most of it as a duo with my wife. Then basically permadebt from 45-50 due to attending Hami raids before 50 (silly kitty)

793 is certainly feasible for a first 50, even these days.
  11. When specifically discussing common salvage, anyone who pays 100K for buy it nao is overpaying.

Bidding and walking away is the way to do it.

I needed some IOs for my personal SG bins after double XP weekend. Right now I have bids out on some 100 salvage for the crafting. I have little doubt that 90+ of them will e filled by 6 this evening when I am going to check the character.

  12. One point, she is the flashback contact for one of the arcs (Tsoo Coup).

It makes that arc specifically challenging with no travel powers setting. Don't know if it is intended to be like that or not, but it is a factor to consider if a move occur.

(I'd love her to be moved btw)
  13. Stone/fire would be the traditional 'best' mix of survivability and damage.

In granite armour though where survivability is the maximum, damage is always going to be sub-par

    Thats a great Analogy.
  15. The last big changes in merit rewards are the 02-10-2009 and then again in I16

    http://wiki.cohtitan.com/w/index.php...4&oldid=113600

Is a complicated page showing the Feb 2009 changes.

Most were increased due to a change in the formula from 1 merit/5min to 1 merit /3 min for TFs, and corresponding increase in the expected rate for arcs.

    What went down (Blueside)
    Justin Augustine -9
    2nd and 3rd respec -5
    Twlight's Son -1

    Arcs:
    Stolen Power (Deadalus) -1
    Nictus Alliance -7
    Nictus Insurrection -25
    The Final Darkness -1

The Nictus Insurrection arc being the one that is referred to up thread. It was plain and simply bugged at 29 merits for 6 fairly simple missions.

Then the same sort of analysis for I16
    http://wiki.cohtitan.com/w/index.php...6&oldid=133365
The main thrust of I16 changes being a targeted 50% boost to story arcs

    STF -1
(I notice that Augustine got +18 correcting the previous reduction)

    Crown of glory -5
    Magic Man -4
    Dirge of Chaos -3
    Future Threat -2
(these 4 were all fairly new arcs)

    Drums of Peace -1

Even the Posi TF, which was well known as a good 'farmable' one for TFs got boosted from 64 to 66 in the I16 patch.

Outside of obvious bugs, the idea that merits get nerfed by people speed running just doesn't hold weight in the light of the patch notes.

Speed runs are something that seems to dominate discussions in the forums, but they are not the overwhelming way that people run arcs and TFs in the game. The forum population is not representative of the game as whole.
  16. The market is still flush with Double XP excess influence. Indeed I have noticed that the weekend after is when many things go really crazy as folks try to outfit their new toys.

There were multiple Level 50 defbuff IOs sold for 2 million inf yesterday

    Table Price 325 100
    Crafting cost 325 100
Fortune ruby and ceramic armour plate (10K tops on a bad day)

Worst case scenario making it yourself is 635 K or so. (memorisation being much cheaper of course)

I'll happily take the inf of the ignorant when they behave like that.
  17. You do understand that by the very concept of averaging (well using the median in this case) that some people are faster and some are slower ?

    That is the design intent.
  18. Closed then open provides the Devs with focused feedback early in the process. The smaller groups leads to a much better ability to manage them
  19. Patriotic themes are allowed, but as others have said dont make a direct link.

Heck way back when the Hero's Choice awards were around, the Favorite Triumph SG went to a whole SG of Patriotic themed Heros.

    All Mr/Miss <countryname>

  21. Please, can we not use average (mean) in this discussion.

The times used in the calculation are the median (50th percentile), at least in part as that is less sensitive to variation in the extremes.
  22. The Weakened Hami (in the Lady Grey) has been soloed.
The full version, not so much. (outside of the above bug)
