  1. The plan last I heard was to remove the +damage from domination, and replace that with an increase in base damage.

A high end 'perma-dom' would see little to no effect, but it would be a large boost to the soloability of low level dominators who really struggle outside of domination.

To round out it is going to be degrading the performance of some edge cases, that of people who were not just perma-doms, but able to stack domination for a significant amount of time.

So think of it a a buff to lowbie and mid-level doms, and little effect on the late game ones.

Place your bids ladies and gentlemen, 10 inf is what I'll be asking.

    Blue or red?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Blue, sorry should have said that.
  3. Well yeah, but BI refuses to take darkest night on a dark defender (due to the aggro it draws), so skipping the AOE immbo and/or hotfeet and/or fulcrum shift seems about par for the course.

All of which are of course huge aggro magnets.
  4. I picked up a 100K bid left open for a level 15 tohitdebuff IO on my latest (soon to be) field crafter.

The other one didn't shift when listed at 10 for a few hours, so I pulled it a deleted it. That slot could have been turning over a acc/dam/endrec/endmod/rech/heal IO for profit, its just not worth havign it blocked.

As a genuine heads up to those interested:
Later this week, (not tonight but say starting Tuesday at 5ish Eastern) I do have to grab the level 10 IO crafting badges on that character. If there are outstanding bids on the level 10s I'll list them at 10 inf, if not I'll just delete them

    I'll be making:
    Acc x10
    Dam x10
    Rech x10
    Heal x7
    Endrec x9
    Run x10
    Damres x7

I'm not sure about the mez it will either be stun or immob (x8), I'll see what the salvage is going for at that time.

Place your bids ladies and gentlemen, 10 inf is what I'll be asking.

It's amusing how the market paranoids attribute everything to shadowy, malicious cartels when most shortages and price spikes are the result of 'casual gamers' buying stuff to make things with.

Yay I'm finally a casual gamer.

Don't worry, the whiners have won again. Patch notes for i15 say you can buy common salvage with tickets now.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You can buy common salvage with tickets on live, right now. All that changed on test is that they added the menu option in a place where more people will actually notice it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yep a decent and steady income stream for the lowbies I have who are MA exclusive.
    1) Make common Salavge
    2) Sell said common salvage
    3) PROFIT!
  7. Dotn't take Fulcrum Shift whatever you do, it draws more aggro than Darkest Night does.
  8. [ QUOTE ]
Also, how do you know they bought up the low supply and relisted it? If people are badge crafting they buy it up and use it which leaves only the extremely expensive ones out there that people place there to see if it will sell.

In a nutshell, you are assuming an awful lot with no means to support your assumptions.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Example:
I crafted 50 lowbie endrec IOs for the SG bins this weekend. Then I had to use another 50 for endmods. Acting alone, I put a significant hit on the availability of low priced ones for a few hours. It being a weekend though, it recovered fairly fast.

Thankfully, that will be the last big hit ont he market from me for a while. Adjusting the inventories of 2 supergroups simultaenously, is not somthing we did lightly, and wont be doing again in a hurry.

Old inventory was 10 each of 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40, new is 30 each of 15, 25 and 35 beacsue thats what people tended to use. Makes managing the inventory much much easier.
  9. Claws/regen certainly makes good time on Posi.

Any damage oriented character does well enough.
  10. I had recouped it and then some when I hit 'get all inf' from my other slots...
  11. I had a type error, though thankfully two orders of magntidue less than that.

Bought 2 Intangibility level 50 recipes for my sonic defender. Meant to go for 50K, which is a nice slice above vendor as a thank you for listing them.

    Spent 500K each
  12. Well thats a depends. If the mission complete awards the temp power, then the drop does award it.

If the temp power is a glowie in the mission (Examples: Sands of Mu, Wheel of Destruction and Mayhem/Safeguard raids), then obviously the drop will not.

The other thing I have not seen mentioned, is that you cannot drop timed missions. If you let the timer run out the mission fails, but generally the arc/contact continues.

As I was Entering data into the wiki for salvage, I glanced at the median last 5 prices for some heal sets (crafted).

Regen Tissue (5 pieces at 30) 52.5 million (45 for the unique)
    Triage (4 pieces at 30) 8.5 million

    Harmonized Healing (40) 19 Million
Miracle (40) 66 million (30 for the Unique)

    Doctored Wounds (50) 29 Million
    Numina's Convalesence (50) 145 Million (50 for the Unique)

Now you can basically slot the entire Doctored Wounds set for the price of a two of the non-unique numis. (28 and 33 million when I checked)

    Numis bonuses
    [ QUOTE ]

    * Two enhancements improves your Regeneration by 12%.
    * Three enhancements increases maximum Health by 1.88%.
    * Four enhancements improves the Healing of all your powers by 6%.
    * Five enhancements reduces the duration of Hold effects on you by 3.3%.
    * Six enhancements increases Ranged Defense by 3.75%.
    * Six enhancements increases Energy and Negative Energy Defense by 1.875%.

    Doctored Wounds
    [ QUOTE ]

    # Two enhancements reduces the duration of Fear effects on you by 2.2%.
    # Three enhancements increases Fire and Cold Resistance by 1.26%.
    # Four enhancements improves the Healing of all your powers by 4%.
    # Five enhancements improves the Recharge of all your powers by 5%.
    # Six enhancements increases Toxic and Psionic Resistance by 1.26%

    [/ QUOTE ]

Trading off the valuable ones in the first 5 places, is a 12% +regen and 1.88% +health (and a 6% heal boost) really worth 66 million more inf than the 5% +recharge (and a 4% heal boost)

As for the pimped out builds and benefactors. Yesterday I dropped a little over 400 common IOs into my SG bins crafting from memory to do this I have no idea how much inf this was in total, and don't really care, as within a week or two I'll have made more than it cost back.

Heck I laugh at people when they say how much it 'costs' to get field crafter. My latest one in progress started at level 23 with under 20 million, and 2 weeks later with most of the progress made, she has 60 million from selling her crafted IOs. Half her slots are working towards the 1000 crafting badges (so 500 after the memorised ones), making at least 100 000 inf per IO turned over, the other half are working the memorisation ones. Most of which get sold at no less than cost. I do have the big 2 areas that are losses (mez and debuff) to go, but heck I made some small amounts of inf on the travel/range IOs, by not flooding the market and having just a couple out there.

Patience is the key as the market regulars already know.

I have one really 'pimped out' character blueside, and two on a scale of 1 (common IO) to 5 (Fully purpled) come in at a 3, though one will get to a 4 when he slots his Numi regen/recovery. Funnily enough both of them started slotting at 30 the sets they wanted for the late game and saved so much inf over the next 15-20 levels (one is 45) that they are both over 100 million banked.

Now for the Arch/NRG at 45, to answer my own question above, is the Numis worth the 66 million more than the Doctored Wounds, yes. Not for the health/regen though, but because he is building towards a soft capped ranged def build, that alone is the reason he got the Numis set, and 6 slotted it into health

Heck he doesn't even need the +recovery so how is that for a 'waste' of inf and slots, that works out at 40 million per % of ranged defence.

    Claws Costume?

Having the monstrous handswith the slashing type claws, doesnt preclude you from using another set, personally I have a guy with monstrous hands and is Dark melee. It looks good enough for the concept to me.
  15. I sent the game out to get a switch, so i could beat it appropriately.

Then I kept missing it as Geko Nerfed accuracy.
  16. For my MM:
    3 acc/mez HO
    3 recharge

My dark def frankenslotted mainly for -tohit and acc, whilst grabbing a couple of +recovery 2 slot bonuses.
  17. Catwhoorg

    Claws Costume?

You could use another set, dark melee or super strength which dont have weapon claws atop of their hands.
  18. [ QUOTE ]

However I didnt say everything in there was expensive. But its disheartening to know I gotta run around all day back and forth and hope and pray the prices have changed. I'd rather be playing the game since my time is limited.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    making the obvious question here:
You do realise that you can place bids and walk away ? Several characters of mine only come on to move day jobs, and they have ultra-patient bids on things they want, of which about half fill in that 3 weeks. craft em and place the next set.

There is no running back and forth, let the interface and pre-placed bids work for you.
  19. [ QUOTE ]
... I'm the opposite. I don't slot super IO's and I could afford them, because I'm like "I get 25% better than SO's from slotting the cheap stuff, I should spend fifty times as much to get 50% better by slotting the expensive stuff? " [Actual numbers are not right. I'm starting to think that I may have to learn how the high end builds work before I can talk intelligently on the topic.]

I think there is a missing thought process in there. If SO's are an '87 Taurus, and the billion-inf build is some sort of Ferrari, people don't realize that there's a nice option that is a lot closer in cost to the Taurus and a lot closer in performance to the Lamborghini.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think 25% better than SO is a decent estimate

the 50 times as much is about 30% better

the 500 times as much is maybe 33% better
the 5000 times as much maybe hits 35% better

there is a CLIFF in the cost/performance curve once you get past uncommon sets/frankenslotting.

  21. [ QUOTE ]
Please add Movement IO's (Soaring, Freedom, Celerity, etc...) as AE Ticket rewards.
They seem to have been overlooked.

Since nobody does Task Forces anymore all Task Force IO Sets should be available through the Ticket system in the AE.

    [/ QUOTE ]

They are via gold rolls (for the TF ones)

Bronze/Silver ones for the other drop pools.

    For me from Bronze rolling:
    Jaunt: Range/Endurance
    Quickfoot: Run/Endurance
    Soaring: Fly
    Soaring: Fly
    Soaring: Fly/Endurance
    Soaring: Fly/Endurance
    Springfoot: Jump
    Springfoot: Jump/Endurance
    Springfoot: Jump/Endurance

Now the Travel sets appeared to have a low weighting in the new drop Pools, but they ARE there.

  22. I support the idea of a /FF mastermind.

Very effective, but mine felt so much like I was watching someone else play that I deleted him (before we could buy slots that was).

Outside of having a cultural clue into redbook, beyond a CD music format, there was no way I could have got there from here.
