Was there an undocumented change PVP IO drop rates, or the whole drop system for them entirely changed ?
If so this should have been noted here, even if flagged as an exploit fix internally and wasn't in the test notes.

Bug. We're working on it.

Thanks. -
Spawn size is based on the number of people on the team , logged on or logged off.
For example to get Posi set for two, you have your character, a character who logs off, then a filler who joins then quits the TF after it is going.
Two is the minimum number of people a TF will spawn for now. -

Some of us can't readily get on test servers. My connection to whatever serve that downloads patches and versions is abysmal - as I speak, it's been fourteen hours since I started the downloader for I15's second, 90 megabyte patch, and I have a total of 43 megabytes, with a prospective speed of 0kb a second. I had literally no idea what the test changes felt like, and how I would respec in lieu of those changes.
Receiving the freespec along with the changes I'd want to first feel out is a bit of a pain in the tuchus.

But the freespec is for the changes, thats why you were given one. the 'old' one was for the previous issues stuff. Feel em out, let the tweaks come over the next couple of weeks, then use it. That is the way they were originally intended to be used. -
Respecs with a new issue are pretty much 'meant' to be used up to adjust to the new issue, so I dont think the intent is for folks to hold onto them until the last moment.
The next issue hitting test is a pretty reliable indicator that another one is coming, so yeah If you don't start respecing folks at that point you have little sympathy from me. -
Someone has one (or more) listed at lower than 750K, when the 1 million bid is placed.

That's where the whole 7 days thing came up before - they blasted out a freespec with no warning. This announcement in the OP met the letter of the old promise, but certainly not the spirit.

After stating they would give a warning about that particular one.
Its nice to have a warning, but come on, the fact that an issue is in test is in fact pretty solid advanced warning -

I was musing over this late yesterday, but with the PVP IO change it gets pushed a little further forward in my mind.
The situation, early Saturday yeah I ran a 30 min arena match and yay me got a PVP IO drop, however the whole process bored me nearly to tears, and its not something that I would do again.
Later on Saturday I was running some Shadow Shard Missions on Cat solo, as I occasionally do. Sure it gets repetitive after a bit, but I mix up the flavours of them as I have all the contacts with a 'full bar'. I don't do it for too long in one burst, and generally find it fun. All told with swapping over during the 10 mins coutndown I was just shy of 50 kills, so I know I am well ahead of the curve defeats/IO wise.
Those missions are basically about as 'risky' to me, as I was at risk of being defeated by the 2nd account in the arena ie non.e. Over the weekend I must have run 30 or so of them, and dipped into the red maybe 5 or 6 times all told, and yes this is on high difficulty slider settings.
It really was little more than glorified button mashing in either situation, so why did one bore me and the other is something I enjoy ?
The change of scenery ? unlikely
I think it comes down to the little and often rewards in the PVE, knowing that Im making x progress on the inf badge and y prestige for the group. See a recipe drop a couple of times per mission, and salvage quite a bit more so.
At that PVP kill rate I should be getting what a drop every hour, maybe 2 on average (assuming things go back to how they were).
Its the same trick lottery companies have been using for ages, a little win here and there keeps the interest. If there was a single winning ticket who won the all the pot each and every week, revenues would plummet, even though on average the 'return' would be identical.
I dunno though, am I crazy for noticing these things ? Why does situation #1 not appeal, and the basically risk free #2 still hold its appeal.
I look forward to some intelligent discourse with you fine folks. -
The baseline earning rate for a level 50 is about a million inf per hour*, thats something like my emp/elec defender soloing, and includes selling drops to Vendoers. The 'real' rate is significantly higher due to most salvage and recipes being sold for more at Wents/BM than to a Vendor.
Run a Task Forces, bam a few million inf drops onto you, and as you aren't slotting new things due to levelling up it starts to grow. Get a good purple drop (like I did this weekend) BAM 150 million instantly. Basically those big hits, up your average earning rates significantly, as long as you out enough time in to give the law of averages time to work.
*From the Cats Hour Challange thread, long sicne purged. The baseline for a non-solo optomised 50 is 1 million inf/hour**
** Squez on a Mind Controller was the worst at 800 000 inf in the hour, but everyone knows Squez needs to lern2play. -

Of course I drink tea...
However I don't have a Posh or Cockney English accent.
we do have, many accents, a quick run down is Manchurian (Manchester), Liverpudlian (Liverpool), Brumie (Birmingham), Yorkshire, Lancastrian, Somerset, Dorset, North London, South London, East London, West London (each side of London has it's own specific accent, Central London is of course Cockney though Cockney rhymning slang in constant use is dying out, various words to filter through to the various London based accents, such as "having a Butchers" at something comes from "Butchers Hook" which meant "Look" in Cockney rhymning slang) and there's quite a few others I've left out of this already long list.
(I have a South London accent, not quite as gutteral as East London however we tend to speak very fast and clip our words).

wot no Geordie?
Ah we cannae ha' that man! Haddaway ya Jessie. -
That character is 46 and with a barebones inf supply of 300 million or so, so I do look for the bargins.
-
Off to the dynamite and *boom* go the races...
-
I picked up a good few 30-33 Posi's over the weekend (including Friday night).
As I was flexibale about the level within that range I think I got some rather good bargins, then again I haven't yet overslotted the level 22 one I got as a drop thats still in the power. -
My Claws/Regen gets the most play blueside, but my AR/dev and rad/rad both get brought out a significant amount.
Redside my VEAT is the only one that gets playtime really. -
Still a bad idea, as then you just get optomised 'masters teams' running them to much the same effect.

I used a few once I15 had hit test.
You really dont need a 7 day warning, once open testing is in place you know the issue is coming, dont hold off, use them at that time.
What I didn't do was create a new alt I had in mind last night, so that she would have one, but as I was in game a lot this weekend, that is no-ones fault but my own. -
Climate change (both warmer and cooler) is a historical fact, pretty much indisuptable at this point.
Man made climate change, which is what people are normally discussing, is agreed upon by broad scientific consensus, the main arguments being the reative importance of the factors and the rates of change.
Broad sceintific consensus doesn't mean everyone, and there are still some reputable scientists (and many not so reputatable psuedo scientists), who are yet to agree. Yet to agree doesn't mean they dismiss it either, but generally want to see more evidence and causes pinned down.
IPCC Forth assessmnet which I urge everyone to read at least the high level summary for policy makers. -
Making their earning a certainty, makes them distinctly not-"ultra rare".
There are just about the same number of Purples (60) as level 45-50 Random Rare Recipes (Pool C/D combined) (57). Having any 100% sure fire way of getting them is just not going to fit in with the current dev philiosophy. -
Base Mag is 7 (unehanceable) plus 2 enhanceable for total of 9
KB ehancers are 60% (Schedule D)
1 even SO (2x1.6) +7 = 10.2
2 even SO (2x2.2) +7 = 11.4
3 even SO (2x2.68) +7 = 12.36 (ED drops it from 2.8) -
I paid $25 for a Rugby Match (South Africa - British Lions) on PPV yesterday.
I'll likely pay the same next week for the 3rd match in the series
$10 is definitely good value for these in my book. -
Did you defeat the longbow that came with the hero ?

So, in theory, any non-redname poster could be a redname, except ones that claim that they are?
Hmmm.......

Nothing more, nothing less. While I do not think Gear's actions should or do represent the PvPEC. I will appoligize on behalf of our committee for this trolling.

To be honest, I don't think anyone was asking for anything more than that sort of statement from the PVPEC.
