    I think you know that, but I just wanted to make sure. I was pointing out a potentially huge issue.

    Also, you know how incomplete (and sometimes completely incorrect) Patch Notes have been for a long time now.
  2. Someone posted it a couple of weeks ago. They were very distraught. I haven't yet had time to find what thread they used.

    Personally, I've had it remember a piece of my password upon login. I caught it, so I wasn't bothered by it too much. It happened after quitting to the login screen.

    I also understand that without someone's username, it's harmless to see their password in chat. The only problem is that some people aren't quite as security conscious as others, so there's a chance that using a broadcasted password (if recognized as such) along with using a person's global name might allow access to the account.

    In my time as a Titan Network helper, we actually had someone send us their username and password to link their account with the Titan sites. It was flattering for them to trust us like tat I suppose, but it showed just how careless people can be with their personal information.

    (Note: The Titan Network never asks for sensitive personal information from any of their users. The above example was a mistake by the user. The user was informed that it may be wise to change their password just in case.)

    Haha. He sent me a text message.

    I got:

    - A very sweet card from my wife.
    - A grill from my in-laws.
    - Monies from several family members. (Dinner with my wife using this.)
    - A hilarious hand-drawn birthday card from a good friend.

    It's funny how people still send you stuff even when you're turning 30. The grill was more of a gift to both me and my wife since her birthday is exactly 2 months from mine. We've really been cooking up a storm with it.

    You'd think it would be high priority since it can actually "remember" your password from the login screen. If someone isn't paying attention, they could pretty easily broadcast their password to an entire zone.

    It's not just a chat bug. It's a security issue, imo.

    No worse than starting Numina TF is any other time. Zombie events happen at least every few hours on Virtue most days. Don't know about the rest of the servers, but I know about half of the Numina TFs I've been on since the zombies started last year have hit at least one zombie-induced speed bump.

    Rikti invasions don't happen nearly as frequently. The actual fighting also isn't as long because the bombing phase takes up a big chunk of the event instead of being the whole event. And the Rikti events actually offer a useful Accolade.

    2 things:

    - On an invasion weekend, they are nearly constant. You do realize this thread is about an Invasion weekend not random Rikti raids, right?

    - It's not fighting the raids that will take away from a Numina. It's the series of hunt missions that will be affected when ALL enemies in a zone despawn for the duration of the raid in the zone.

    I like Rikti raids and zone events in general, but raid weekends tend to be a little obnoxious.

    We need a 5th raid that spawns randomly when the new TF/SF is completed. That would be exciting.

I don't want you guys to infer that bugging things in game is useless, just that it's only one avenue to bring things to our attention. We get bugs from many sources. Sometimes they come from QA, sometimes they're pulled from the forums, other times they come from PMs or even personal experiences.

    Then why was the change implemented? Did testers say it was a problem? And if they did with the initial testing implementation, why push them out without making the change first?

    The "Oh, we didn't think you guys would do that even though people said it would happen during beta." excuse is thoroughly worn out at this point.
  14. Rodion, I don't disagree with your logic, but as it's been stated several times, this will not stop farming.

    It will discourage team PvP.

    It will create an even larger gap between the haves and have-nots.

    Plenty of other valid points have been made, but those 2 highlight the fact that it's a knee-jerk reaction to something that no one can honestly say was a problem. Are people obnoxious for starting forum threads about it? Totally. Will this deter people from doing the same thing in a different way? Nope.

    I think that's when I stopped scheduling them.
  17. It's spreading to other parts of Ouroboros. The other problems don't PREVENT the missions, but several villain contacts no longer have their badge missions split out from their normal ones and the normal ones don't go in order.

    Nothing has really changed for farming them. People just have to relog a series of characters to do it. Tedious? Sure. Will it be avoided because of this change. Not a chance.

    If the goal is to make PvP "equal" to everyone, then it's time to make an official PvP server with it's own rules and rewards system. Let the rest of the servers stay the same, but make the PvP server it's own special place to battle it out.

    BS. The only people willing to put in the time farming are the hardcore PvPers. And with all the PvPers doing nothing but farming in the arena, there was NO pvp. And once all you hardcore PvPers get all your PvP IO's, the difference between casual PvPers and hardcore will be even more pronounced.
    This is one instance where they need to do whatever it takes to stop the farming. People just need to PvP and accept the IO's as a reward. Not a necessity.

    When I get home I can send you the build I am using currently. Its capped vs ranged/melee and AoE is at 41+

    I am doing a few builds on Mids at the moment. One has Char/Melt Armor/Fireball and the other weave/Conserve Power/Taunt

    The build with Weave allowed for a heavier recharge build but the one with the Fire Epic added a very nice AoE damage increase thanks to Melt Armor+BU+Fireball+FireSwordCircle+Shield Charge. The higher recharge build is probably the one I will end up with since it has Taunt and BU+FSC+Shield Charge already do a ton of damage AoE wise and the upped recharge leads to higher single target DPS for tough targets. After all if you wipe out everything with Melt Armor/FBall/Shield Charge/FSC, then you wont have anything to feed AAO

    Edit: I wanted to add the reason I only won a few fights against the Dom is because that all they stayed around for. The only thing that got my health below half was when Lord Recluse hit me with the end drain/-recovery attack. I was never in any real danger of dying because half health was still over 1500hp at that point

    You know, I remember one of the original PVP IO suggestions was to give them a chance to drop when you are defeated, too. Even if it was half the chance of a victory, it would make a rep-based system seem a little less futile. That also helps alleviate the problem posed earlier in the thread with wanting to "Rebound" and not getting a chance to get the ultimate reward for it.

    ^^ This is the main issue with a rep-based system. ^^

    The low-population server issue has been mentioned more than once already.

    Do knee-jerk, anti-farming measures have to be attached to everything now?

    EDIT to add: The 5-minute timer is an obvious compromise, but having a rep-based system still seems less than optimal unless the drop rate has been noticeably increased.
