    Turns out, that is only tangentially correct. The actual problem is that the check which is supposed to turn off the attributes in certain circumstances is failing. I'll be fixing this early next week, after first tracking down all the places it's broken.

    Meh, not so much anymore. At this point, he's really just my "in game face" and the character himself has become far more "me" than reflecting the fiction I originally had for him.

    Back in the PNP game he came from, he was a Mutant who was a radio political analyst who ended up being "outted" as a hero/mutant. He used the notoriety/celebrity to get elected to a public office, while still continuing his work as a hero.

    Translating him over to COH, I updated his fiction to be that he'd never been a 'hero' at all, until the Rikti Invasion wiped out most of the heroes. He decided to don a costume to help fill the void left...which is why he as level 1 starting out.

    When Castle was placed in Peregrine Island as a contact, there was a lot of concern from various people that players could copy the costume completely. I had to insist on the costume not getting a unique piece added to it. While I'd love to get unique bits added, it wouldn't have been *his* costume anymore.

    I just looked at the powers for this entity and I *did* find a bug...but nothing that would cause the increased difficulty you are describing.

    The only change the powers of this entity has undergone was in issue 16, when I made a change to the way it's auto and toggle powers work to alleviate server stress.

    As for the bug I did find, apparently instead of having 50 points of hold Protection, the green mito has 50 points of hold mag preapplied, meaning it is permaheld already. That is causing it to not use it's 2 click powers.

    EDIT: Note the that zone version of the Healer works properly, only the mission version had the hold issue.

    That's a question for the engineers; it's not something the powers system can deal with, currently. I'll pass the suggestion along.

    I tried to make this work while leaving the Accept/Deny option available, but doing so left an exploit in place which allowed players to stack multiple copies of the buff on themselves. The only way to fix that was to remove the prompt. I'm very sorry that it negatively impacts your play experience.

    It's documented. We also force the designer who does such things to put a flag with their name in the power that explicitly states they did that on purpose. That way, without having to look into documentation, we can tell at a glance it was done on purpose.

    Colin is an animator who is looking into possibly reducing the cast times of a few of the powers to help off set the "I clicked a button and died before the power went off" problem Gravity has. He's done a few preliminary tests, but so far, nothing is certain. All I can say for certain is, "We're experimenting, and we hope it works as much as you do!"

    Pretty close. I can't say which bits are wrong, but...pretty darn close! The tier 4 "unique power" is quickly becoming one of my favorite powers in the game.

    The lag was pretty bad on I17 day on Virtue. I'm not sure if that helped or hurt our DPM. It certainly hurt our time to completion. Was a great time!
    I'm pretty sure the JForce suicide squad has topped that in the past...but I'm not sure.

    It does not apply to Break Free class Inspirations, "Special" inspirations like Essence of the Earth or the Holiday Inspirations.

    Looks like the Brute value is wrong. The Dominator value is meant to be longer duration.

    If Castle had of said it, it would have been official and we would have a guideline of what to expect. As it stands there is now an interpretation of an interpretation that given recent inclusions in the game, and nerfs to things in the game is not shared or well communicated amongst all the developers.

    That's what she said...and it was pretty darned accurate both in the original post and the followup. The truth is there isn't one balancing factor but dozens; many of which Arcanaville pointed out.

    We had well over 1000 questions. Part of the group started with oldest questions, part of the group started in the middle and part of the group started with the newest questions.

    Not true.

    Frequently, there are things asked that we didn't prep for or that aren't on the 'bullet list' of things to cover that we are happy to answer. Things that were small, easy fixes or changes for us, but can have a big impact on gameplay for you, might be forgotten to talk about unless asked.

    There are several technical problems with this.
    • 3D Printing methods require solid mesh objects, which our costumes are not. We use a "building blocks" methodology, which results in a huge amount of flexibility. In order to get 3D Printing to work for one of our models, we'd have to export your character as a solid mesh, which would require a non-insignificant amount of work. It *may* be possible to automate the process; I don't know. I kind of doubt it, though.
    • 3D Printing doesn't support Bump mapped or reflective textures well, and those are both things we use a lot of in our costume bits.
    • Aura's aren't really doable at all in 3D Printing, and for many of the best costumes out there, the Aura is a key feature.

    That said, we'll continue to follow the technology and, hopefully, one day it'll be doable!
