I would say it's my attachment to characters this place has given me the ability to create, and the Characters that keep me here more than the setting.

i'm also a terrible aesthete, my mina character has changed greatly over the last three years and the game has allowed me to refine it more and more, which means usually i get irritated with the lack of options everywhere else.

Still Champions on-line will give similar opportunities so who knows what will happen after that comes out.

So to summarise, I tolerate the setting for the sake of the character. rather than finding particularly special.

Her Armour Creaked slightly as she stepped over the shattered Focus, treading carefully, purposefully, towards the figure slumped against one wall of the summoning chamber. The exhausted Ruin mage glares at her as she approaches, his robes torn and singed, his hat lost somewhere in the fight.

“My problem is...”

She pauses

“One of my problems is, I have spent the last 24 hours trying not to hurt any of you magic types, I mean, I just want some information, a man with a broken Jaw can’t tell me anything can he?”

She ruminates as she walks across the debris strewn floor the intricate patterns broken now by the cracks running in to them from all angles.

"Then when I finally get your Name, and i come here I think 'you know what, I’d best show them just how tired I am of people avoiding my questions"

She slowly crouches in front of Him, just an arm’s length away.

“But Still you don't take me seriously, so I though I had better show you how serious I am before talking to you”

She stares at him a cold smile on her face.

“So when I say to you ‘who killed Eddie Du Mal’ you’re not going to turn a little pale and insist you know nothing about it are you, because you understand I don't believe that”

The ruin mage Dilamis Stared at the foul woman, despoiler of his sanctuary, and his Eyes narrowed, the one she searched for was dangerous, a hunter, She wanted something from him and would fight him for it, but win or lose, She would be out of his Sanctuary.

“I understand perfectly, your little demonstration was unnecessary, we were willing to put you on the right track”

His voice rasped as only one unused in thousands of years could, Cassandra raises an eye brow.

“How unusually helpful of you, that must be why I was attacked on sight, next time shall I take that as meaning you have information for me? Or is getting beat up how you float your boat?”

“No need for such harshness woman, His Name is Mattias, He has been unusually focused, we have taken that to mean he is being paid to be here, which would not be the first time”

“No second name, nothing else? What a boat load of information”

“He is a hunter, undetectable to magic and driven only by hate”

“Sounds like a scumbag, I’ll tell him you sent me”

Dilamis’s eyes widen and the little colour in his face drains away.

“So you are telling the truth, interesting” Cass almost purred, a vicious grin on her face

“There are legions of demons that will know your name in hell Woman” Dilamis spat

“What they don’t know is I’m waiting for them”

She stands, turns on her heal and strides out of the Chamber, leaving the Mage with the sound of his own relived breathing.

when your not running, are you still warm? it would just boost massively when they are using their power, it will still be there all the time unless they are actively shielding it.

Plus i don't really thing you can suppress something with out bleeding it away. which would be equally obvious.

not really, the PB is the combination of a human and a Keldian. All their powers steam from using that energy, which doesn't seem very suppressed to me.

but that's the only kind of info that we have as Cannon. Anything else that doesn't show up in the game, is personal speculation.

the problem was not that it "Disagreed with Cannon" but was simply that no information was supplied that they were anything other than the outward appearance, even a ((Send a tell for flange sense info)) would have helped.

almost everyone fudges the origins of their power if it's not ultra specific like, for instance, a PB/WS, and even they they may be using those powers to fudge another thing, as long as it is mentioned some were, then people can roll with it.

as you said earlier. there isn't a huge amount of Cannon, what there is available on the Main game site for free, and really shouldn't take more than a hour to get though.

what stuff there is in the game from stuff like the Keldian arcs is (in my opinion) OK not to know. I mean that's sort of the point of that stuff is not to know it till you encounter it.

But saying know stuff like "Nemesis tryed to take over the US after the second world war" is incredibly unlikely unless your character has never been educated at all.

yes, a hero called "Liberty Belle" is trade maked though, All comic characters have contextual TM's, and this is the same context.

A player from the old days, character name of Persil, like the washing powder, and, dispite the lack of anything even vaguely resembling an infringement, other than the name that is, the character was genericed.

so i not allowed to be interested in some potently very good RP? as for trolling... i don't start plots, i tried a couple of times and i'm terrible at it, so i don't bother, i may have read more in to something than you did, but that's having a different point of view, not trolling, i do rely to much on other people starting plots so i would do very well if i was trying to smother them or take over.

If you really want to believe I'm part of some "old guard" that want control or something... that's up to you.

It's for me more the fact that others will sues the same thing but have a totally different take on it. so you get 10 different version of each of those things and it is a absurd looking mess, which is why i try to avoid such situations but it is the major down fall of such an ill described world.

i really don't think it's me that needs the dictionary. i understand you saying that they can't plan to invade paragon with out breaking that rule.

My point is that right now they aren't planning to, and they are deliberately sidetracking their characters in to a fiction rather than Paragon to avoid it. or at least so it seems to me.
