*Is sick of agreeing with Jamie today*
But I agree!
Elec/Earth looks to me to be the better of the two combos in terms of soft-control synergy. -
I thought that was fixed a while back? Procs used to override the Jump for some reason but I thought nowadays Procs filtered down through Pseudopets correctly (as they do now with Carrion Creepers for example).
-
Quote:This is what I'd expect to be honest for two reasons. First the delay between jumps gives the 10 second suppression time to kick in. Second the invisible pseudopets which are responsible for the chaining mean they are the "caster" for the jumps so they'd get any recharge bonus.I'm running this on live atm.
Chance only seems to be to proc when you initially throw the power out there, I havnt seen it proc for me on any jumps yet at all, and I was running it for about levels so far.
Which makes it alright if you only have this as a knockdown power. but i'm /earth so theres better palces for me to put it.
So as Jamie says it's ok in terms of it being in a fast recharging single target knockdown, but you may have better options in your secondary (Earth and Energy certainly do anyway). -
#1 is a must IMO. Not for increasing diff (I suspect the devs omitted it for this reason, people being used to City of Heroes difficulty and automatically upping the diff as the first thing they do) but for lowering it to -1 for those who are struggling with some of the nasties in Praetoria.
I reckon it was a deliberate move though and they'll be patched in in a month or so once they've given people time to gauge the difficulty of the new enemies. -
Quote:Be wary of this. Since you are both affecting your own End and the End of enemies (and allies) it could end up boosting EVERYONE in the patch, friend or foe. Mightn't be a massive issue of course since the enemies will quickly lose it again but just an FYI.Wasn't paying attention to the end cost for it. Still gives my potential build a place for the Chance for +End proc since I'm going to see what all the end drain and such can do to replace Stamina as an experiment.
(and this is all Theorycraft based on how I know it works with things like Elec Attacks and thus untested with that power). -
Quote:I'm up to my ears in Dark Miasma characters already, got a MM and a Defender already (EU side so now in limboAs far as I know, yes it's the only power that doubleScourges.
If you've not made a Fire/ Corr, you don't know the power of Scourge
Make a Fire/Dark.)
Fire/Traps though... hmmm. -
Quote:Woah.Both.
Unlike say, Irradiate, it checks for Scourge on each tick rather than at the initial cast so it makes better use of Scourge as you say.
-40.00% run speed for 15.50s on target Ignores buffs and enhancements
-40.00% strength to jump height for 15.50s on target Ignores buffs and enhancements
-40.00% jump speed for 15.50s on target
-3.50 max run speed for 15.50s on target Ignores buffs and enhancements
76 Ticks of 3.00 fire damage over 15.00s on target
76 Ticks of 6.00 fire damage over 15.00s on target 2.5% chance per every percentage point targets health is below 50%
-30.00% fly speed for 15.50s on target Ignores buffs and enhancements
Copy-pasted from power details. Bolded for emphasis, as you can see the normal damage is 3 per tick, Scourge damage is 6 per tick.
Is RoF unique here? Does Ice Storm do the same thing?
Dammit, stop putting ideas for alts into my head. I haven't done a Fire corrupter yet (or any corrupter in fact, at least not seriously in the last 3 years).
And Je Saist, decent explanation of the round off display issue for RoF & Tar Patch.
*wanders off to the Corrupter forum to have a think about potential secondaries* -
Quote:Double scourge damage? Really?Yup, don't need anything other than SOs to make this combo work. RoF needs time to do its damage, Tar Patch keeps them in the area for the duration. The -res so it does even more damage is the other part of the equation.
Something I'm surprised no one has mentioned:
RoF does double Scourge damage. Supplement RoF with your other AoEs as Demobot said to get the enemies into Scourge-range and you'll see why RoF is so fantastic.
I thought it just checked per hit because it continuly rolls ToHit checks as it goes (unlike other DoTs) so it tends to be a better leverager of Scourge. -
It'll be changed, but still roughly fit the cottage rule.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was changed into something like a FF version of Link Mind to be honest, then it adheres roughly (very roughly) to the cottage rule in that it's still a Defense Bonus power but it becomes fairly unique for Controllers. -
Quote:It was Posi I think. But he says a lot of things like "In future we'll probably focus on releasing TFs rather than missions as you now have the tech to do missions yourselves" and "We won't be merging the markets but we are looking at other options".Didn't Babs or Posi, at one point, say something like; "We can either spend time and resources revamping the old content or building new content, so we choose to add new content instead." If that still holds, then I wouldn't hold my breath. Personally as much as I'd like the old zones spruced up I'd much rather they flesh out Praetoria.

Quote:That was my rallying cry about 6 months ago. After about 4 months of it something inside me died and I gave up tryingYou could at least gleemail it if they put EU and NA together. I think now that they have merged the markets my new rallying cry will be to bring EU servers and NA servers together.
One Server List to rule them all
(Of course I'm in the happy position of owning both @carnifax globals so for me it'd be little impact).
I sorely miss my 48 months of Vet Rewards and the myriad of now defunct alts I'd made in 4 years of playing EU side though. I bet the Stone/Fire Brute is awesome now. -
Quote:Market Server is common both sides, which I used when I moved to the US earlier in the year to wire 100 million to my US Alts from my EU ones by buying a knockback TO from them for 100 mill. The only thing I've ever been unclear on is are the EU servers on the same market?
Has anyone moved something from Freedom to Defiant for example through the market?
Lost 10 million doing so of course. -
Wipe your Cookie Cache and log in again with Remember Me ticked. There was some weirdness with the URL for the boards changing server earlier in the week which could be causing the issue.

Quote:Red Tomax site on CoHTitan Network, for all your Power needs (except Elec Control and Kinetic Melee for the mo)First off, I want to say, I like DS a lot.
I have looked here on the forums and on the CoHwiki, but I can't seem to find a list of the powers the demons get.
Could someone direct me to the right place or just list what powers they get via enchantments please.
Thanks for your time.

Quote:Pffft. All you so-called humans are objects to me. Now go Smash something so I can stand behind and leech XP.What kind of kin's have you been teaming with? The one I team with had me damage capped with the old brute cap, no sweat.
Now it just takes a few less stacks of Fulcrum Shift to get there..
Anyway, the nerf is nothing crushing.. it's just a small defeat in the mind of a true brute player.
You speak of brutes as though they are objects, not people. As an avid brute player, I take offense to that!
(AT != Player "driving" them, and I don't think digital code can count as a person, not even that creepy Xbox virtual boy). -
And no redname response or acknowledgement of the problem with the Cert, DNS or the uncertainity with packs.
I'm going to Report this post myself in an attempt to Summon Redname who can clear up the technical issues with all of these things. -
Quote:When did Ouro start being such a huge part of the end-game?I sure hope some of that changes. With Ouroboros being such a huge part of the game for a higher level toon there isn't a lot of incentive to stay Vigilante/Rogue.
Other than being an occasionally handy Transport Hub (which I can live without usually) I never use the place at all.
I have a Pocket D and Market TPer to cover that anyway (might buy the Valkerie Pack too for the Broadsword and mission TP which should also help) -
Someone forgot to tell Doris and Norris, Virtue and Freedoms Hamster-wheel hamsters. They've ducked out early for some nibbles and a kip.

Erm, it's Thursday, it's 12:05 GMT (13:05 BST). That means scheduled weekly maintenance doesn't it?
There's a sticky from the Ocho in Announcements about it I think. -
Quote:Erm, doesn't /sea just report people on the same side as you?Strange though, i was in Brickstown and /sea gave me 513 people.
Now either there are 600+ people that are /hidden, or they lowered the max playable on the server. (Freedom goes over 1000 often).
And given that most people are in Praetoria 513 people Heroside is pretty good for that time of day isn't it? -
Quote:From what I remember from non-GR missions (and it might be mission specific so worthless advice) if you move far enough away from the trigger point, and manage not to run into them along the way the Spawns should reach the trigger point and stop. At that point they go back to default AI and shouldn't see you if you then decide to approach in order do away with them (but doing so might trigger the next).I've had no problems with escortees following with hide on, using a KM/Nin stalker too. Weird that you are.
If you read the OP you'll see that the ambushes are seeing through hide. I've had this same issue. There is one mission I was doing where there was a constant blast master single spawn. I kill one another turned up shortly after. Very very annoying.
Someone mentioned moving from the initial trigger spot will stop the ambushes spawning. Not sure if thats true, but worth a try.
This is from recent experiences with Vivacious Verandi arcs in St Martial on my steathly Night Widow. -
Welcome back to you all. Great to see some old names back!

Quote:The green biscuit flourishes in the frozen desert!Marcus Cole approved of this.
Past week or so, Server maintainace was made, but it did not strengthen the servers, but to only weaken it, so that when GR came around, people thought the servers were gluttonous in people, but, infact were not.
Resistance is Futile, but the Truth Speaks Out.
(Assumtion: Server were reduced prier to marketing reasons, tried to gain an influx of players, failed to meet quota but remain opimistic that they'd stay till a fix was pre-emptive. thus will be the downfall of CoX, thus = DOOOM)
(ie : wut?) -
Poor screaming cow demons. Willingly summoned from the pits of hell to escape the taunting from all the other demons and now their masters peers are poking fun at them too.
I just find them too much overall. Too big, too in the way, too noisy and too many damn effects and bloom. I know I can turn my settings down but that affects everything I see, not just the Demoos. -
They would but the Rikti stole the remote control for them and States refuses to go buy a new one saying "Just look properly for it. It's probably down the back of the couch or something".
