They get Enhanced.
[/ QUOTE ]
How helpful.
Holds get increased durations (all mezzes do), not higher magnitude
Debuffs get increased magnitude (higher amounts) same duration, but not Damage or Resistance debuffs (there's others too but Damage & Resistance buffs are the chief ones unaffected). ToHit buffs and debuffs are boosted (but Smokes sucks anyway, something like 3.75% afaik) -
[ QUOTE ]
The original reason for adding quants was it was at the time felt that since keldians where an all rounder AT, they would need a specific weekness. I don't think anyone on the development team still thinks that, which is why quantums where nerfed into harmlessness. They remain in the game because they are tied into the story arc that acompanies keldians. If you are having trouble with them, it's because you havn't got the hang of playing a keldian yet.
And there is a story reason why quantum weapons have been distributed to villain groups
[/ QUOTE ]
Is there a story reason explaining how they know only to break them out when a Kheld is about to storm their base, even though they're seemingly happy to stand about chatting and let them in? -

There's a Shiv tanking (and doing lots & lots of damage) for them though. I'm talking about solo, not with a pet Tankmage-in-a-box in tow.
[/ QUOTE ]
So, like a dark without Fluffy you mean?
[/ QUOTE ]
No, Fluffy is their Tier 9 pet. The Rad is free to use EMP as they see fit
Like I'd imagine a Dark/Sonic could do as well with a Shiv in tow.
Whats that black toggle running in the vid, beside the Leadership pool? -

Hmm for single target damage wise isn't Rad/sonic fairly godly as well due to the mahoosive -res that get's applied (it's known as an AV killer set...and this is on defenders!).
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd rate Dark/Sonics above it personally (I am biased but Dark has more -resist, which is also stackable). I'd also question if either of them could actually manage to solo an AV, I doubt they'd survive the aggro for too long (again I think Dark might be a bit better at it thanks to Fluffy).

Hey, sneaky ninja-edit. No fair -
Quants are a bit silly alright, but I've been getting teams fine on Union even so. And the Quants generally aren't that bad (exception in the case of when a Quant Boss spawns in a spawn, those guys HURT).
Gamewise its a bit stupid when you suddenly start seeing Freaks or CoT or whatever hanging out in missions with Voids or having silly guns just because there's a Kheld on the team.
"Hey fR4nk. Whats with the big purple gun today?"
"Dunno, for some reason I just felt like bringing it to work today"... -

I thought the Large Hadron Collider was built to look for God Moders?
PP doesn't generate that kind of field, IMHO - it's more about encouraging chronic altitis and giving people yet more creative options to build new heroes. Currently unable to keep my paws off my flatmate's Cold/Cold Dominator.

Enough about your tawdery affairs with digital characters, we're talking about proliferation here
Agreed on the point though, a good flavour of the month alt can really revitalise the game for you and can seem really powerful as you discover combos. -

It's not really God Mode though, you're great vs AVs in teams, but a Sonics defender trying to solo largish bunches of white mobs is slow as hell. Any AOE biased toon would laugh at them.
MMs are probably the closest to overall god mode in the game really, there's very few situations my Thugs/Traps or Necro/Dark could be considered weak in the PvE game. -
Aye, I haven't seen any proliferation combos which give god mode at the moment.
Give Masterminds Kinetics / Radiation or Controllers Dark Miasma / Traps and you'd have a case for God mode now (Illusion/Dark... drools) -
Aero, RJ, Bridger (I guess?) and anyone else sorry to see you go. Thanks for all you've done, you've been great cultivating this community. Hopefully ye'll just fly into other positions.
I will be interested to see what this reorg means for us though and if the servers will go through a similiar shake-up. -

He's got his suspensor belt on, he'd just do that hovering somersaulting thing mid-air. -
I'd play to your strengths, which are debuffing and controlling using Fearsome Stare, Darkest Night (on a lieutenant in the spawn) and Tar Patch and then following up with Aim, Ball Lightning, Short Circuit.
Debuffing & Controlling for a Dark is more important than healing since most of your debuffs prevent the need for healing.
Fearsome Stare > Darkest Night > Tar Patch > Aim > Ball Lightning > Short Circuit on teams is your most effective chain. Follow up with choice holds and single target blasts.
Once you hit 32 opening up by casting Fluffy in the middle of a spawn is a good move (he'll swiftly debuff their accuracy and then heal himself). He won't do much damage but he's great at nullifying a spawn and dark defender tanking (tanking by reducing their ToHit rate and healing himself)
Howling Twilight isn't just a rez, its a great low level AOE stun and debuff too. Great when soloing as a second mez when Fearsome isn't charged or vs AVs (spam your heal vs AVs too as its got a handy -Regen component which really helps taking them down).
Here's a team-centric AOE early build I cooked up quickly :

Can we be dismembered too? Like if an exploding Nemises Warhulk catches you there's bits everywhere (although where would you centre the camera?)
-
[ QUOTE ]
.. Or for £5.99 (nearly half the price you propose!), just do a server transfer.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hang on, there was a price? I missed that bit. No to prices for this feature.
And it would need to include the US servers to be meaningful really (its a suggestion so replies about how that's unpossible are irrelevant really). -
I like this, nice in-game version of the server visiting I suggested in your other thread. I'd let the character stay on the other server until they logged off (or chose to return) though, so you don't disappear mid-mission or mid-TF.
Bonus points for the name too -

There is a similiar system already in place with the "Frequent Suggestions". No-one really reads it though, people just start their own threads anyway to discuss things we've discussed loads of times already.
I don't think the mods want to start deciding what we can and cannot discuss as well, as long as its reasonable debate and not a flame-fest
[/ QUOTE ]
Thank you for your comments.
My suggestion was to put in place a more structured systems, one that allows the mods a greater degree of control, while still allowing expression.
However I take your point on board. Given that the post in question is over two years old, might not now be a good time to update it?
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm not so sure the mods want a greater degree of control.
As for adding to the frequent suggestions if you read the post it says PM Ghost Raptor, who has been updating it, with any ideas and he'll add them if they're suitable. So if you think it should be updated let him know. -

Locking off topics entirely serves no useful purpose, while it would cancel out all the repeated demands and cries for things which have been refused (usually with a sound explanation) it would also prevent any future new possible changes which had previously not been put forward.
[/ QUOTE ]
Thank you for your comments.
Apologies - it seeams I may not have been clear. My proposal was that threads on topics that the mods don't want a discussion on would be created with the OP being a mod explaining the case why it's not open for discussion. The thread would then be locked.
If the situation changes the thread could be unlocked and the discussion commenced.
If a forum member has a request for a discussion on the subject they could always go to the mods and ask them to unlock the thread. That way if the mod feel it's worth exploring it can be done so, if the mod thinks it's likely to start an unwanted thread they can politely refuse.

that won't work,, it will say invalid target.
How can you auto cue a Fireball on the main?

You have probably noticed that when you target a teammate, then their target is shown to you. Defensive powers use your target and offensive powers use your targets target.

As far as I'm concerned NC are not (to date) cutting the mustard. And they haven't demonstrated that they are capable of rising to the challenge that's coming.
And quite frankly, I'm starting to wonder that if these games can come forward with some pretty innovative ideas, why this one can't too. And no it's not all about the engine. It's about imagination.

What innovative ideas? I haven't seen anything on DC online or Champions which has made me think "Wow. Revolutionary".
In fact Champions is so riddled with CoH IP still I've zero confidence in it at the moment. Especially after that interview / preview on Eurogamer last week.
DC Online looks shallow beyond belief so far, with a dumbed down console interface.

This isnt meant to be about them, Carnie, its about us. But what about secret identities, arch enemies, etc etc.
I'm sorry but you cant tell me that this isnt lame.
I mean, what, you log on and can't wait to log off and on again to see how your career has progressed? I mean, please.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well to me it'll mean I'll open my list of alts, look at them and say "Hey, I'll take the Fire/Rad out for a spin since he's got a decent bonus to XP and I haven't played him in ages".
A picking and choosing your example doesn't prove a point. I mean you compared this small, throw-away feature to one of the main features of CO.
Anyway I find the concept of COs secret identities even more lame to be honest. The medium is gaming, I don't find the prospect of pretending to be Lois Lame, reporter, to be that exciting when I could be playing her superhero alter-ego. -

No it won't
If you've a power on auto and you target a teammate targetting a mob you'll fire the power off at that mob.
Trust me, I've done it by accident enough times
You need to have the power on auto though, as Rapthorn says (green circle around it) -

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't our RedName in the EU boards just mods? No offense guys.
And as mods - whould they not have a set of "standard" replys to common questions?
[/ QUOTE ]
And in fairness it was one of our rednames who mentioned the idea of a serverless enviroment as far as I recall (Bridger, in one of these type of threads). He did say it wasn't on the way, or in progress but one of those "on the radar" things which would be nice in an ideal world. -
