Yeah, that's not a good update. Especially for level 2. I assume it's a bug rather than some anti-farming measure. Sure a lot of MA farms WANT extra / all bosses.
[/ QUOTE ]
I hope its WAI. Im damn sure thats what happens in normal missions. You dont get bosses at diff 1, but do further up the ladder. In the past, and sadly, no bosses were spawning, which sucked badly. Now, hopefully, that's fixed.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, solo at level 1 you'd have the end of mission downgraded to a Lieut. At level 2 you'd have larger spawn sizes (but no bosses usually) and a boss at the end.
I'd be happy for bosses to appear in Diff 4 & 5, but not Diff 2 (other than at the end of a mission). -

My favourite was when someone said that "they shud learn english"...
[/ QUOTE ]
English-speaking native says that seriously: unacceptable yet funny.
French- or German-speaker says that ironically: comedy gold.
Sadly I fear that a non-native English speaker would have speled it all rite and so it must have been a UK-resident english-speaker.

It could have been an Irish, US or Aussie person too you know. We is qite gud at spealing rong to. -

Yep, I'd agree with JD in these special circumstances. The EULA is a broad cover-all to stop the sort of abuse he mentions, but in special circumstances like the last 2 days I'd assume the support staff also moved and the EULA wouldn't hold for those 2 languages.
Spirit of the EULA rather than the letter.
Certainly there was French LFT broadcasts in Atlas on Monday night when I was between MA missions, which seemed perfectly reasonable to me. -

Yeah, been ages since I had a purple drop meself
I kinda like the masses of mobs though; IMO, the only thing better than beating on fascists is bearing on a feck-ton of fascists. I'm also grateful that the big room o' doom aside, the map's all caves, which nicely groups up all those pesky fascists for AoE goodness (and massively reduces the annoyance factor of KB). But I completely understand how peoples' mileage on that issue can vary...
[/ QUOTE ]
Please tell me you're Irish, that's the most Irish sounding post I've read around here in yonks. I'm sitting here in an office in Dublin, bored, and the "feck-ton of fascists" really made me grin. -
In the meantime there's a suitable MA Arc using this bug :

Welcome back ss/riff
U havnt been gone that long so I'm pretty sure the only thing u need to do is avoid atlas park for fears of being mistaken for a sheep and bundled into a pen to have your soul slowly stripped from you until you have 6 new 50s and don't know your way to Peregrin Isle...
But i'm sure you knew that already ^_^

I thought that said Penguin Island
Which would be well cool, especially if we could slaughter the little blighters. We could get our own PETA demonstration.
They could even add some Morgan Freeman voice-overs for the zone with vague PC, child-friendly euphemisms like March of the Penguins did, so instead of "You have defeated Penguin" it'd be "And so, little Mr Penguin goes to sleep"
God that movie annoyed me. David Attenborough has the decency to say "It died, sadly, but that's what happens in nature. And now a hungry Lepoard Seal at least gets a meal". -
Using Global Channels is probably a good idea, sals badgehunters and Union Chat are two fairly huge ones that should get you a team if you do a shout-out.
I tend to stick "Happy to sk" into my LFT comment as well, from the mid-30s onwards you're well built enough to join any high level team and contribute well. -
Happy birthday all fellow crabs!
(the star sign, not the AT). -
Wasn't there a weird bug / issue with TP & Stealth that the stealth would drop for a sec when you triggered it? Did they fix it? If so that's excellent since the TP Stealth IO is dirty cheap.
And yes, Ghosties and Robots are a nightmare for me. I hates them so much. My main issue is that I spend so little time in Human form that Stamina just doesn't seem worth it to me. Plus I like shinies too much, even if they are fairly meh shinies. I always resent having to get Stamina, on any character (my Grav/TA and my Brute skipped it, mostly out of bloody-mindedness)
I think I'm slightly addicted to having so many party tricks on my WS. Nice for someone with Altisis like me though. It's like having 3 or 4 alts all wrapped up together. -
[ QUOTE ]
By the way... What's the point with all the glowies?
...don't get it, since the badges been on the "todo:remove" list forever!
[/ QUOTE ]
Leftovers from before I guess. Or maybe a way to get better spawn sizes since you can pick easy to hard for the spawn surrounding a glowie. -

Explanations are always called excuses by the pessimistic. You'll just have to wait until I16 to see if what GG has suggested is correct, but by what's been shown so far (blue fire imps etc..) it is possible that I16 can be quite a major issue. Mind you I don't want to hype anything up at this point.
[/ QUOTE ]
That was said about i15 too. It was also said that i14 would have more than the AH in it, and it didn't really, aside from a few more PvP changes.
I used to be a great optimist about this game. I once had more enthusiasm for it than GG on speed. Constant disapointments from the devs have led me to extreme pessimism instead.
[/ QUOTE ]
You should take a break, I heard of some guy on the interwebs that that works wonders for recharging the batteries.
(sorry, I couldn't resist)
I've a feeling we've got a far smaller and less experienced full-time Issue Development team (with the latter being really important) than we did in the old days of just 15 people, thanks to Going Rogue.
It gets easier if you just ignore the Dev hype and just expect a few little perks in the issues. Although I have to say i15 was, for me, the most perkless Issue I've come across I think (well i4 probably pips it). Only thing I've really noticed was the nice colour coded dots in the MA "choose a map" picture which are a nice QoL feature but nothing more than a refinement that should have come in a patch just after i14. -
Welcome back Riff / SS.
On the name change thing, decide now because once we are melded into the Americans (eew) you'll be stuck with it. -
Here's the bind files I use for shapeshifting. There's 3 seperate ones, one for Human form (v on the keyboard), one for Nova : c (stick your Nova powers into Tray 4) and one for Dwarf : b (stick the Dwarf powers into Tray 5).
Just replace [path] with the path to the folder you save these on. Don't have the path too long though there's a 255 character limit on the line lenght in bind files. something just off the c: is good.
Note that you can't shapeshift while doing another animation, so if you don't pop into a form straight away press the same button again and you should then.

As an aside I really wish the Devs would let us export our live builds from the actual game into a Mids Datachunk or similiar.
[/ QUOTE ]
Now that would be nice!
[/ QUOTE ]
I realised why it never could on my walk home from work. The game doesn't remember what levels you allocate slots, hence the way the Exemping system works.
Here's a reconstruction of my fairly cheap Frankenslotted IO build. Few dear ones in there but for the most part these are achievable pretty cheaply. Focused on getting the most slot-wise from Enhancements & some Recovery.
In the 40s I just picked up some human blapping style powers for the heck of it so Human form was a bit more viable offensely just in case I got bored of being a squid or lobster and fancied some blapping & controlling.

We will be giving you an update on the Booster Pack III soon, we just need to make sure all our European servers are back up and running first. Thank you for your patience all!
[/ QUOTE ]
Not sure I see the connection between the too, unless it's the same people working on both things.
[/ QUOTE ]
One (potential) problem at a time. If there is something unforeseen with the Booster pack then it might be the same set of devs trying to sort it as well as the servers being down.
Just makes sense to fix one show-stopper bug before adding something else new. -
Urrgh, Suckerpunches export is horrible. How did you slot Gravity Well with a URL
Few wee things. It's not really worth slotting the forms for too much End Mod. The Endurance they give back is fairly small anyway and slots are precious. However it is worth a slot if you can get a Chance for End PROC into a form. I stuck one into Lobster form as I figured that's the "batten down the hatches" form and it works great.
Gravity Well is your best human form attack, lots of damage and a hold. 5-6 slot it for sure and get it at 18 if possible. Essence Drain isn't that good really, the damage is meh and I always prefer just switching to Lobster form and using its drain instead if I'm in trouble (or feasting on delicious corpses with Stygian Circle). I did take the human form drain in the 40s as I'd run out of powers and figured it might be good in a blapper-esque mode with the Stun aura running too, but I don't think I've used it much.
I don't like the Fitness pool on a WS either since it won't work in forms, again corpses & Stygian Circle is nyum-nyums (my Warshade has an unhealthy liking for corpses). I'd also throw a wee few slots into Unchain Essence if you can (maybe take 1 or 2 from Quasar). Exploding corpses is almost as much fun as feeding off them (or ripping a blobby pet from them, or all 3 one after the other). You can afford not to fully slot Damage in Unchain Essence & Quasar as you can double-mire to boost it to decent levels anyway. I like having both fairly well slotted rather than just one of them. I tend to Frankenslot them both for Acc, Dam & Recharge rather than going for sets (2 acc/dam, 2 dam/recharge is good and can be cheap, especially with tickets).
I'd take Hasten & SS earlier instead of Fitness, you can then stealth with SS & Shadow Cloak much earlier and the recharge from Hasten is always good.
The human form stunning toggle aura (can't remember the name) is fairly nice, even for a triform, the stuns last a decent amount of time and it can stack with Grav Emination (which needs a few slots if you have them).
Overall I tend to Frankenslot my WS rather than bother with set bonuses, mostly because I'm poor and cheap and it seems to be the best way to get bang for your buck (especially with Ticket Drops). Princess D is much better at set bonuses than I am. The only ones I chase are +Recovery since they only take 2 IOs for the bonus usually and are easily obtainable by cheap and lazy me.
As an aside I really wish the Devs would let us export our live builds from the actual game into a Mids Datachunk or similiar. -
Yep, the PROC % chance overrides the Chain inductions chance to leap. Known bug with it.
Move the proc elsewhere is all you can do. -

So when do you go back, every one start hols at different times, but i bet the weekend in question is the one that they all overlap... Hence my point.
[/ QUOTE ]
Depends again. Most primaries the 1st week in September, most secondaries the 2nd week, colleges usually towards the end of Sept, universities are even later.
None of which makes any odds to me really, I work, as do most people playing CoX.
The point is that there will always be a bad weekend for some players and if the devs want a summer time event it's bound to clash with a fair few holiday plans.
So far I've managed 1 DXP weekend I think, every other one I've been on holidays abroad (even the one in March or April 2 years back). -

Don't be facetious, It's common sense that slap bang in the middle of the summer holidays people will be on holiday.
Canifax, i'm confused..... when do you have your summer holidays, September sometime perhaps?
I was not saying that the game is based on when Egland schools have their holidays, considering im not English and not at school this would be a bit odd for me to think that way.
I was only saying, and I re-itterate... 31st of July is SLAPBANG in the middle of everyones holiday, it's reasonable to beleive that people will be on holiday.
[/ QUOTE ]
We've had our secondary schools (12-18 year olds) off for a month and the primaries off today. So the next two are the busiest for people going on holidays over here. And since it's the 4th of July this weekend I'd guess the same applies for the States. -

Sod the children. Horrible little things. Flogging is too good for them!! They're only good for sweeping chimneys or sewer cleaning duties.

The weekend of the 31st of July is peak as its when th whole of the UK are off at the same time, hence why its more expensive to book a holiday during that week... because it's the "PEAK" time.

Yes, because the entire game is based around when England has its school holidays. -

Help is much appreciated!
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't have Mids here in work but you stated that your Global Recharge bonus is 167% And base recharge is 100. So things will be recharging in (100 / (100+167)) = 0.37 (or 37%) of the time, not taking into account any Enhancement Recharge IOs / SOs you also have slotted in a power.
So Flashfire will recharge in 33 seconds and Cinders in 89.89 seconds. -

Ok,Flashfire is now Base of 1 min 34s and Cinders is now base of 4 Min,the times have doubled!
[/ QUOTE ]
Flashfires base was always base 90 seconds and Cinders was always base 240.
Well Cinders wasn't "always" 240, it used to be 120, but that was changed years ago in i5.
With a 167% recharge bonus you'll have Flashfire up every 33 seconds without any Recharge enhancements in it and Cinder up every 90. -
