Why would you need Rads if you've got Darks? Howling Twilight & Fluffy and Twilight Grasp will do just as good a job as Lingering Radiation. -

That'd make sense with Rikti invasion weekend coming as the patch fixes the looping death animations for the drones (which is sort of critical, otherwise Raids are going to be even laggier). -

I reckon the cost and the reliablity of the signal (which can be bad even in cities) will be the two potential issues. As Sinergy says if you are going the Dongle route check out Passport and make sure it includes data rates (not just calls), otherwise I could see you getting charged through the nose. -

What if there was a Jack of all trades toon, that started with a set amount of points.
Powers could be given point ratings and each level you spend the points to get the power, every set could be treated as a secondary as its not a true "blaster" or "fender" but you could then have hundreds of new toons and proliferation without any new sets.
Willpower Blaster anyone?

This is basically what the Kheldians let you do, and it is pretty cool having extra or a choice of powers as you level. It's also sorta what they did with APPs and PPPs. However I doubt it'll ever be done to normal powersets. A new AT might use it though, if any new ATs ever come.
I'd also like to see it completed for the APPs and PPPs (as well as Scrappers and Tanks getting some more APPs) as well as being expanded into the Pool Powers (so each Pool Power gets another choice). For example a hyper-flight power for Fly which briefly lets you fly at Superspeed speeds. -

It lists all the 35s & 40s, and then the 45s & 50s. Just to be annoying
So you've to scroll through all the 35s & 40s for all origins and then after them the 45s and 50s start.
Another example of the superb design work from whatever idiot in Paragon Studios does things like Market and Vendor interfaces
(whoever you are you could do with tidying up the left-side categories for DOs and SOs in the merit vendor too). -

Although the Science Guy in Brickstown is handy, doing his mish gives you Entrusted with the Secret and hence Ouro access (if, like me you kept forgetting to get it beforehand). -

I'm wondering if it's a cross faction thing, that if a Hero & a Villain team up the villain pets won't flee from the heroes oil slick and visa versa.
Might hit the RWZ on Defiant later and see if I can coax a Dom or MM to test it out. -

Ouro & Cimorororia are a different matter though.

The last change I saw (which got us all excited) was in i12, but that turned out to be a fix on how quickly a Pet would return to a burnt area, they still fled it.
Last time I checked on my Grav/TA Singy was still legging it, but that was months ago, pre-i15. I'd be surprised if it was fixed without a big fanfare though, simply because it was such a bugger of a bug (Oil Slick makes Castle sob like a little girl).
Were you on the same faction (ie both Heroes or Villains)? -

If you can't see the damage allowing a "Get to 50 for no risk in a few days" which is freely available to all new players does to the long term life of a game there's no point even talking to you. -
I'm with JD on this. Leave the mobs in but give them a reward in the MA which reflects the challenge they pose to the average character at that level
This would have an added bonus, you could therotically allow other enemies to appear above their normal level range since you could balance their rewards accordingly.
So if a story-teller wanted level 45 Hellions in the MA you could permit it since their reward would be basically 0.
I'd also strip the rewards of Mitos, give them their attack from level 1 on and give them a horrible long lasting debuff (like the Vashok Wasting Disease), just to give people a shock post-patch -

Yes I'm being highly dramatic and yes, I am aware it ain't ever gonna happen.
I'm just despairing of the game right now and really wish I hadn't paid my subs up until November.
I can honestly say that people 'playing how they want to play, it's their money' is ruining my enjoyment of the game.
I've tried to create teams at varying times and am finding the numbers dwindling each time I do so.
I've put 'no farms/powerlevelling/fills' in my search and still I get invites to MA farms.
I believed there was going to be some kind of crackdown on it but there hasn't been one yet. If there's one thing worse than having to issue a threat, it's not following through on said threat.

So, my suggestion!
The MA is moved to Talos Island and above. And not right next to the station but somewhere difficult to get to (perhaps not Circe Island...)
Mobs are 'unlocked' by experiencing the levels at which they appear. So rather than being a level 1 and able to create a Carnie mish, that group should become available at level 30.
I know this doesn't work now that there are quite a number of 50s floating around who managed to do it in a stupidly small amount of time but if the action were actually to be taken (i.e. characters deleted, slots banned etc) then it might go some way to turning the game back to what it was in i13.
i.e. fun
Even if GR comes out and is amazing, I won't be surprised to see more 50s powerlevelled through MA and a distinct lack of teaming spirit (except through the powerlevel farms) becoming the norm.

If you were in the MA then yes, this is a fresh bug. The Oil Slick Target cons as an ally in MA missions for some reason, so that's why you seemed to be targetting through it at an enemy rather than firing at it. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon.
In non-MA missions it's just the usual non-lighting bug which crops up occasionally along with the "Make Allied pets flee" bug. These two non-MA bugs have been around for ages and at this stage are unlikely to be ever fixed. -

I'd say Thugs too. Bots just annoy me, horrid big clanky things, always getting in the way.
Thugs give a nice spread of single-target and cones & AOE all the way through the game (well from level 12 on), the Bruiser would really benefit from Painbringer and Gang War & World of Pain sounds pretty entertaining (assuming the buff is applied to them, haven't tried it myself). -

I played over there for a while. Found it Ok. The main problem I had was the fact that the time I played (around 10pm) was mid-afternoon / early evening over there and a lot of the playerbase seemed to be relatively young.
The Freedom Villain PuGs were a sight to behold too, most of the time seemed to be spent outside a mish waiting for the leader to find the full 8 people for the team. There was little chance of starting a mish without 8 people. Standing outside a mission dancing got pretty boring to be honest. Some awesomely bad Car Crash teams as well. Still, I'd happily join the same sort of team on Union rather than all the soloing I've been doing. Think my newest Brute has only managed 1 team in his 2 weeks of playing most evenings, and that was a duo.
Played Virtue Heroes a wee bit too and that was fun. Biggest issue was the lag I got on it. Although Union isn't exactly a slouch in the lag department either. -

I'm looking forward to it as something to twiddle with for a few minutes. Nothing more than that really. That's why I really hope we've some other "minor" (in terms of dev time) features added as well. Proliferation for example would be nice and it's fairly "cheap" in terms of manhour investment.
I am not looking forward to some of the eye-bleeding colour combos some people are going to come up with though. Ally Shields will become a lottery

Although in fairness if my Fire/Rad Controller hasn't innoculated me from vile colour combos a bit I'll be surprised. -

The figure I heard bandied around on the US Boards was Fury over 85% I think. But Build Up probably breaks that in the favour of the scrapper as well.
There's a DPS chart of Brute and Scrapper primaries here for those interested. It's assumptions are fairly light too in terms of how things are slotted and what levels of recharge each would have. Basically says Brutes just top Scrappers in a relatively normal build, but only by 3%. Given that Brutes have to work pretty hard to maintain that (especially on some teams) that's pretty good for Scrappers.
There is also another high-recharge comparision thread here but that's a bit less useful to normal day-to-day builds (but probably useful to anyone trying to make an AV beating heavily IOed build). -

Technically Illusion does have a wee chance of Sleep in that odd spill-over sleep the single target hold can do to targets close to the original.
Not that it's of any use in terms of mezzing someone whilest remaining hidden of course. -

Actually the biggest question I'd ask would be "Why are heroes continuely giving an obviously deranged old witch the means to summon a Zombie Hoard in the city and why isn't she in jail by now?" -
