Nice that they are creating new entities for the henchies though rather than just regurgitating Behemoths and Succubi at us.

I wonder if the fact that Resistance also comes with its debuff resistance automatically has something to do with it, combined with the distinct difference in the amount of Defense Debuff compared to Resistance Debuff in the game?

For most characters (ie non-SR / Shields / Ice Defense) even if you add defense you're still likely to come across more Defense Debuffers in the game and since you've no resistance to Defense Debuff you can undergo a cascading debuff where all your Defense is stripped from you.

Resistance is far more steady, it automatically resists Resist debuffs inately and there's far fewer Resistance debuff attacks in the game (Nullifiers, Wailers and Goldbrickers red-side. Not even sure what there is Blue side).

Set combos or just a set with 2 changable models? There are a lot of set combos which allow you to set two models, any weapon + shields for example.

Hell Thugs / TA should let you set 3 of the blighters.

Yep, me too. My Fire/Rad controller gets so bored with the piddling little spawns he gets solo. From about level 8, for the first 30 levels of his life he mostly soloed Hazard Spawn groups but that sort of stopped once he hit 40, it'll be nice to be able to get back to that level of carnage in missions now.

I know, but Going Rogue seems more to be about opening a "new chapter" in terms of story line when they haven't closed the last major one they created (and deliberately fostered as a sort of mystery to be solved via the Glowie clues). Writing half a storyline and then wandering off to do something else instead is very annoying to your audience. Especially when you hype it so much.

Colours, grand. Not too fussed really. Offhand I can't really think of too many of my chars powers I'll recolour.

Proliferation : Cool. They'd better do Traps defenders properly though, copy the corrupter trap pseudo-pets and tweak the numbers up to defender levels. Cold Controllers sound very nice. Might make a Plant/Cold. Claws Brutes sound excellent but there'll probably be changes from the Scrapper version. A Claws/Inv Brute could be lots of fun though!

Enhanced Diff options, nice idea which I'll use on some chars, not for farming really, just for soloing in the 40s. My Warshade and my Fire/Rad would have loved this when I was soloing. I suspect my Stone/Fire brute will use it too.

It's all mechanics based though. No actual new content at all? No coming storm? Not even a change to the Shards to add a few mission arcs in there and make them co-op? Meh.

I've never equated popularity with how good something is, I'm funny like that.

I never said it was popular, Firefox is much friendlier and took most of Opera potential audience. I find Firefox is a big of a hog though and it tends to freeze up more often.

I just prefer the features Opera offers. Firefox does have the excellent Web Developer toolbar though which I miss in Opera. IE is just used for testing basically, since it's such a dick about doing things like CSS differently. The newer versions of IE are horrid in terms of interface as well. And the arachic downloading system is just laughable.

(turns out it's also easily the king of high speed rendering of complex Ajax-based web applications, Firefox comes last in here. And the chief developer doesn't even use Opera, he just asked me to open something in it and was blown away).

Excellent. Have they fixed their download system and added a download manager yet? IE7 still uses the one from 5.0 and it's deeply annoying. Crappy pop-up style downloading is so passe.
