Grav/TA is FotM for people who don't want to create FotM controllers.
[/ QUOTE ]
Indeed. I actually created mine as an anti-FotM to balance out playing a Fire/Rad.
The universe is at harmony again. -
I just leave teams that refuse to SK me. Especially with my Dark or Kins as they need to be able to hit to heal and debuff/buff. I hate feeling weak on a team. Especially when you know the difference you'd make if someone just SK'd you. In general I don't fight more than +3s anyway, its just too frustrating being so weak against them.
Someone refusing to SK you, whatever the reason, is an idiot and doesn't care about the team. Did he not realise that if you really wanted to leech then remaining unsked is much better for you XP-wise? (as Motion already pointed out, I just want to reenforce the point). -
Boo!!
Cya Shinro. Hope to see you back soon!
(Keep away from that Delete button. It was shameful enough for me the last time when you restarted at level one and still managed to beat all my alts to 50)

Forced Feedback. The Knockback one, I guess the % to recharge one?
[/ QUOTE ]Yup. Goes off most of the time if you use it on a moderate sized mob, and makes my psi 'nado charge really quickly! I can normally apply the buff again before it wears off! Lots of perma Hasten and IW at good value I found. Got it in Psi Nado and... brace yourselves... kick!

I can confirm this PROC is super, although I have it in Fissure instead on my Fire/Rad.
Cost me 4 mill though, but the salvage needed is cheap, and 4 mill is nothing to a Fire/Kin
My final slotting will be something like 2 Acc/Stun/Recharge, 2 damage/recharge, 1 damage IO and the Forced Feedback %Recharge PROC. Although I might change my mind and drop the stuns to see if I can get decent Acc, maxed damage & recharge and another PROC in there. -

Slight bit of Threadomancy as it seems the time to bring this back up.
I was thinking what if Defenders got a Domination style bar which is charged as they deploy their primaries, or charged less as they use their secondaries.
However instead of one Domination style power being activated when this charged you get a selection of them to choose from (as Defender primaries tend to vary hugely in things like usefulness of Power Boost, End & Health use and recouping abilities etc).
One power could be a mini-Power Boost, maybe doing a 50% power boost for 10 seconds. A second could give +regen & +recovery for 30 seconds. A third could be a 30% +recharge for 20 seconds. Finally maybe a +30-40% Accuracy and Damage boost for 20 seconds (mini build-up)
That way you could pick and choose which suits your powersets, playstyle and current situation a bit better.
I'm still a fan of rewards active play rather than linking the inherent to the teams health etc, you should be rewarding active play IMO (admittedly I'm biased as thats the way I like to play my Defenders).
You'd need to tweak it so that the bar is only boosted by useful moves and prevents spamming, maybe by having a "cooldown" on how often the bar can be boosted by a single power (to prevent someone just spamming quick charging buff powers and PBAOE heals to charge up). -
For Grav/Kin I'd go Fire or Earth personally. Fire for contained, fulcrum-shifted Fireball. Earth for an extra AOE mez (gravs a bit weak on that front). Which also does AOE damage. Plus best controller AOE heal in the game + power that raises your HP is a bit good too. And Defensive shields are handy in PvE.

They are equal as people do it 'for free'. Makes no difference at all.
The bad part? The hypocrite people pointing at 'bad' people.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually is not that equal. When someone pays to powerlevel first of all allows thrid parties to exploit CoX intellectual property and make money out of it.Second of all the player paying hands over the account to someonone else temporarily thus having not the slightest clue what goes on from 1-50 regarding powers etc etc.
At least when i (i put myself in this position since i pl as well after doing the normal way quite a few times) powerlevel some new PvP toon i get the feel of it at every chance i get even when farming.
[/ QUOTE ]
Deal with it in the normal way so.
Petition and/or PM the forum moderators about suspected cases and let them handle it themselves. Stop with the gang witchhunt of anyone ye suspect of doing it. Its not big or clever, its just bullying. -
Congratulations Erik!
You bet me too, took me nearly 2 years to get my one and only 50.
Its traditional to die violently one you dinged too so kudos on that too! -
[ QUOTE ]
20% chance for each of those on a massive AoE, available every 10 seconds (that's the rate the procs use...you can fire power more often, but procs wont be availble unless 10 seconds has passed)
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't think this is the case. Since CF is a standard attack rather than an aura one it goes off every time the power fires off, even if its just 5 seconds after the last firing off.
Its only PROCs in auras (placables tend to be an invisible, non targetable pet with an aura running) which have the 10 second tick rule (and each placeable runs off its own 10 second counter afaik , so if you could have 2 placables down in under 10 seconds both would PROC seperately).
So its even better with the 3 damage procs in it, its truely spammable. -
Hiya. Currently the Necros are listed as :
<font class="small">Code:<hr /><pre>
/bind numpad1 "bind numpad4 petcompow zomb agg$$bind numpad5 petcompow zomb def$$bind numpad6 petcompow zomb pass$$bind numpad7 petcompow zomb att$$bind numpad8 petcompow zomb fol$$bind numpad9 petcompow zomb goto"
.
/bind numpad2 "bind numpad4 petcompow grav agg$$bind numpad5 petcompow grav def$$bind numpad6 petcompow grav pass$$bind numpad7 petcompow grav att$$bind numpad8 petcompow grav fol$$bind numpad9 petcompow grav goto"
.
/bind numpad3 "bind numpad4 petcompow lich agg$$bind numpad5 petcompow lich def$$bind numpad6 petcompow lich pass$$bind numpad7 petcompow lich att$$bind numpad8 petcompow lich fol$$bind numpad9 petcompow lich goto"
</pre><hr />
Adding something like :
<font class="small">Code:<hr /><pre>
/bind decimal "bind numpad4 petcompow soul agg$$bind numpad5 petcompow soul def$$bind numpad6 petcompow soul pass$$bind numpad7 petcompow soul att$$bind numpad8 petcompow soul fol$$bind numpad9 petcompow soul goto"
</pre><hr />
Should bind the decimal button to set the other Numberpad keys to issue orders to the pet spawned by a power with "soul" in it, hence the Spirit from Soul Extraction.
Haven't tested it though so I could be wrong.
Another good bind for Necros is to bind control & a mouse click into goto aggressive for just one zombie. He ends up being a great alpha taker and you can raise a spirit from him when he dies.
<font class="small">Code:<hr /><pre>
/bind control+lbutton "petcom_name [name] goto aggressive"
</pre><hr />
Should do it, just replace [name] with a unique part of the actual pets name (just one word or it may break). Then hold control down and click to make him run to that spot and start fighting anyone near it. Once he's attacked the rest of your bodyguarding troupe will start fighting too.
*Edit : Given the Graveknights are so much better in melee you could also bind shift & mouse click to get them into melee with a shift-click too :
<font class="small">Code:<hr /><pre>
/bind shift+lbutton "petcompow grav goto aggressive"
</pre><hr />
Hope these are right (can't test from here) and help. (Apologies for the long lines, its the code blocks. Makes em easier to read though) -

Is Res not alot better that Def ?
a few accurate shots and your down... =(
[/ QUOTE ]
In PvE vs mezzing enemies Defense is usally better. Assuming your defense covers the mezzes type of course. More important for toggle heavy toons (like Fire/Rad) though.
Earth gives you extra health too via EE which is also good. -
[ QUOTE ]
i dont agree with showing friends lists etc or the whole thing in general, but there you go.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is why you can switch it off I guess.
Personally I think its a great idea.
Will our Builds be exported? -
[ QUOTE ]
you cant transfer inf from coh to cov and visa versa
[/ QUOTE ]
Erm, Donna knows that. Hence the request that their hero gives someones hero 10 mil and someones villain gives Donnas villian 10 mil. -
How could they make Vigilance less to anyones liking though? Unless it starts actually debuffing you.
Since the one common thing Defenders have is Blasts of various sorts maybe some way of improving those blasts, maybe by letting the Debuff aspects be partially irresistable in PvE. although that would only be really useful vs AVs, and Archery would lose out. -
[ QUOTE ]
Repel isn't terribly useful for a kinetic. Besides which, after level 32, if you need to bounce stuff away from you just stand inside your singularity
[/ QUOTE ]
Ew. Its all sticky in here...
Singys Repel is handy too since it doesn't cost him Endurance.
Summoning Singy on a knockback resistant mob (like Nuons) turns him into a perma-knockdown patch. Although due to people using this effect with Bonfire on +6s means it might be closed soon.
20s is a bit boring with Kinetics I always find, no real flashy new powers (ID and IR I think). And Grav is late blooming too. But the last 2 powers in each set are their strongest so stick with it. Wormhole, Singy, Transference and Fulcrum Shift are beckoning. -
Your embedded image doesn't work
Its pointing at Removed link for some reason (did you omit the domain?)
Edit by Kerensky: Removed false link to not cause too much confusion. -

Where are all you people who think TA rocks, where are you all when i log in and need a team? Is it me? It's me ain't it!
Well anyways this would mean that I now would have time to attack things on a fast paced team and would therefore have to slot attacks alot better seeing as they can now be used which I guess isn't hard with IOs.
I'd much rather finish mine when oil slick is fixed the as the journey would be bugged one otherwise.
[/ QUOTE ]
I was on as my Grav/TA last night for a bit on Defiant, using TP to turn Singy into a Nuon perma-knockdown patch (I can see why they're fixing the Bonfire & +6s issue now).
Couldn't really find a team though so switched to my MM summoned my own(plus I want to save the last few levels so I can benefit from the animation changes)
I also have a theory on why the Oil Slick pets bug exists and how to solve it...
It seems to happen because the flame patch is spawned by the death of an "enemy" (the Oil slick target). If this is the case a solution could be to spawn 2 entities when creating an oil slick, the hostile targettable orange flame we see now and a friendly invisible entity, from which the flames will come ("Oil Slick Source" lets call it), both on top of each other. When the hostile target is hit by a fire/energy attack it explodes, doing a PBAOE. This PBAOE takes a leaf out of EMP Arrows book and deals damage only if Target is flagged as being of type "Oil Slick Source" (in the same way EMPs only do damage to Electronic foes). When this dies it spawns the flaming oil slick. Hopefully, since the flaming patch is now created by a pet of the caster rather than a hostile, it wouldn't confuse the pets and make them flee. Like the way an Assult Bots flame patches don't make the bots Afraid, or an Onis Rain of Fire doesn't make Ninjas scatter.
All completely hypothetical of course as I don't have any data other than what I see ingame to go on. And I've no idea if this would make the lighting bug worse... -

Ooh, class. Superb artwork, I really like it.

Probably mine too, my level 29 Kin/Elec still finds soloing slow enough. The draining is fun but even just a smidgen of End and they'll attack.
with the End Drain IOs coming though you should be able to get a nice balance in Short Circuit which ideally needs 4 things slotted : Acc, End Mod, Recharge and Damage.
But I'd vote Rad too for the synergy and the 2 AOEs & Cone. -
If you want to make the most of Tornado the AOE Immob comes in handy. I'd go 3 damage too.
And since it slows too it should be able to take 2-3 damage PROCs (see Kinetics post in inventions about Crushing Field).
Only downside is its not Ice Slick friendly. But Tornado isn't remotely Ice Slick friendly anyway.
As for your slotting I'm not sure, its too hard with Invention slotting to see what your actual %s are for the enhancements (must send a note to Mids asking for the ability to export Enhancement %s in the forum exports) -

My pet hate as a Rad/Psi.... U take 3-5 seconds applying debuffs to the mob, Name him in team chat for the daftarse blaster to snipe him.

I always target a Lieut towards the back of the group, one that takes lots of tabs to get to.
Handy for my Dark/Sonics too as he's also the best target for my Fearsome Stare and Howl cones.
But Anchors do die, reapplying them is part of being a Rad/Dark/Stormie. -
Spectral Terror also has a 15%ish accuracy debuff attached to one or both its powers as far as I know. Unenhancable though.
