    The Love Bug.

    Class, nice little story Wytch.

Cheered me up on a Monday morning too (which ain't easy)!
  2. These are great, love the style.

For flames the only thing I can think of is the spikey, cardboard cut-out effect they use on South Park. If you search for South Park Fire on Google Image Search the first result has a guy with flaming orange hair which might help.
  3. This is what I'm planning, although at 32 I'd respec to replace Stone Prison with Stone Cages in preparation for Tornado (and redistribute 3 of its slots)

try to take Gasses at 18 if possible somehow.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Well, not really . And it doesn't need Acc. Slot 3 Rechg and then you can use the other slots for dmg procs later on.

Also, if it's a PvE build I wouldn't bother with Acro. Just slot a -kback IO in CJ.

And definitely Fissure over Hurl Boulder!

    [/ QUOTE ]
Drat, I got them the wrong way around, didn't I! Curse you Okton! *shakes fist*

Try and take Earthquake at 18 so, and ignore a lot of my ramblings
  5. Freezing Rain should be taken at 16, its that good. Hurricane is excellent too, I'd take that in the 20s if possible.

Slows in Snowstorm and Quicksand aren't really needed, the pair should hit the Slow cap fairly handily anyway and Slows only debuff Run Speed.

I'd leave Steamy until the 20s too, take Freezing Rain at 16, Steamy at 22 and try to take Gasses at 18 if possible somehow.

Tornado is nice on an Earth/Storm with the AOE Immob, the damage is useful, especially combined with Stalagmites, Freezing Rain and Lightning storm.

Solo you'll have a tough time killing anything without the single target immob, at least until level 32.

Plus Freezing Rain makes things (like AVs) run around. An immob is really handy then.

*Edit : Oh, and Fissure over Hurl Boulder. Its a great little power
  6. Traps is great fun, as people have said. Lots of placeables, a dead handy little floating Force Field generator (which isn't a toggle).

Primary is up to you really. I'm really enjoying my Thugs / Traps. Lots of ranged cone damage, cool personal weapons (if you take them. Empty Clips is too cool not to take, at least for a bit) and a fun level 18 power in Gang War (excellent summoning them on a Council Archon and watching him roundhouse-kick 10 of them to death in one move while you cunningly place a poison gas trap at his feet. Watch that fascist puke)
  7. Oooh, pretty. Very nice indeed

This becomes a bigger issue when the "going rogue" system is implemented later this year.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Eh?? When was this announced?
  9. [ QUOTE ]
Depends on how one uses AoE holds. Many people like to shoot em off when they can. I am of the "I'd rather not use it when not need it, than lament its absence when needed" school of play.

    Both work fine

    [/ QUOTE ]
Indeed, I tend to be in the "fire it off when its available and would be useful" school. Something thats backfired with Howling Twilight in the past as I tend to use it as a mez...

Poison Gas I've never been sure about. What are your other options? I've taken it and respeced it out in the past but have considered bringing it back for EB fights (as a Grav/TA). 15% less damage is basically 15% resistance to everything affected which could be handy but it depends what else you could take in its stead

From my experience as lvl 50 MM/TA

General Point: TA powers are low end cost - and as you are going the stamina route, you may well not end reducers. At the very least you could say end reducers are low priority.

Glue Arrow. One of the bread and butter TA powers. It should be up as much as possible so 3 recharge enhancers (or IO equivilant). Slow is optional.

Repair: I only put on one rech reducer. It recharges fairly slowly and works best as an "oh heck" power... end reduction seems fairly redundant to me.

Oil SLick Arrow. Needs maxed out dam and rech enhancnement before anything else. 3 rech 3 dam would be the no-argument slotting with SO. If you are going IO, still make sure rech and dam are fully enhanced. Any other bonuses come a very distant second in priority. This power is the crowning glory of TA and it should be up as much as possible.

EMP: Works best as a wonderful "Oh s..." power. 2 acc, 3 hold would be my slotting, maybe a recharge. IMO best used in emergencies, rather than routinely (and then it isnt up when it really needs to be).

Otherwise everything seems fairly robust. I got flash arrow and find it a pretty decent power (for the -percep rather than -acc) but you may not think so (-percep always works best in teams when you are in danger of aggroing two mobs.. can be a life saver).

    [/ QUOTE ]

Agree with most of this, except EMP Arrow. Its the best hold in the game and has a massive base duration. I'd go 2 acc, 1 hold, 3 recharge.

Or in the case of IOs one of each of the Acc/Recharge/Holds works really well. You can then stick another Recharge/Hold in there and save the 6th slot for a damage proc or to put elsewhere.

I'd my EMP nicely slotted at level 39 doing this with just 4 slots.

This is a good time. I'll schedule it in after my weekly Bear wrestling session.

You wrestle hairy leather clad biker men?

Aw. I'm gonna miss this due to work. And since the forums resident cameraman will be smeared across an arena / dancing the victory dance atop the corpse of his vanquished, biker-wrestling foe (delete where applicable) we won't have any vids
  12. This is one of the most entertaining threads I've seen in a long time. Kudos Coin.

I can say I want to play in the "new" players pool, then bring my fully IO'd PvP build to the match and well.. still put off new players . However I'd say 2-3 rounds, monitored by some "judge" ideally, will easily get rid of those kinks.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Or you could have if you hadn't made the fatal villanious mistake of monologuing about it on a public forum beforehand.

I'd be well up for this, I'd even happily transfer a toon to Union for it. Only problem I'd have would be that I tend to only be on from 20:30 onwards.

Unfortunatly unless someone can tell be where to find the hp of level 9 minions

Just target the mob in question and right-click and hover on their HP bar in the target window and it pops up doesn't it?

    Farewell !

    [ QUOTE ]
    Greetings all!
I'm not Terminator, but I'm back. I resisted only 1 month, mwhaha.

I worked yesterday and after work, met my friends for a beer, Among them the one I gave my account to play for free (since I wasn't playing and my subscription is payed until March). He also has some experience in CoH as a scrapp, played on US servers a couple of years ago. He logged only a couple of times on my account, but last night since we hit the topic "games", he begun to speak about scrapping and CoX.

Well that did it. I sold my soul to the devil, again, something similar to a 2nd mortgage.
When I woke up today (free day from work for me) I had the urge to log in and scrapp for a while and that's what I did.

Seems I'm an old school scrapp junky and nothing can cure this. Dunno if I should be happy or miserable. Well, both.

These being said I might pop up in the game from time to time.

PS: Next time when I feel the need to get away, I'll just take a break(very healthy), not leave and make a "farewell thread" - lesson learned.

there is always the go to button but then again i suppose that does not fix his hornyness for handlcap

    [/ QUOTE ]
...and the underwhelming Hurl . But yes, simple 'Go To' is all you need. And aren't there reports of the Force Feedback (currently bugged) proc sending him charging in?

    [/ QUOTE ]

There were reports of it doing it to Phastasm and a bit of conjecture from me that that mightn't be a bad thing if you slotted it into Mr Bruiser. Not tested in the slightest though (and its a bug so could be fixed at any time, although even then the PROC should be fairly decent in a Brusier)
  19. The only ray of silver lining is that other Controller pets who were doing this (Stoney and Jack) got their AI reworked a few months ago to be more melee friendly. So issues like this have been addressed before and one hope will be applied to the Bruiser and Knights eventually./

But the udead Grave Knight one is easily gotten around using "GOTO", once they get in and draw their swords they will start meleeing and stick to it.

I'm planning to bind shift+lclick to a GOTO command for the Bruiser to position him before ordering him to attack.
  20. [ QUOTE ]
I have begun playing with my Earth/Storm controller and... it is VERY FUN!
Also, I found that I help my team a lot with damage... yes, yes, with damage.
At low levels, a lot of attacks (roughly 25%) don't hit the baddies due to unslotted or poorly slotted (TOs) accuracy, but when I lay Quicksand and Stone Cages, everybody in the team hits all the baddies, even if they are +2s.
I am only level 9 at the moment, but I think this controller will ding 50 in the future...

    Thanks for asll the advice!

    [/ QUOTE ]
Does this mean I'm avoiding the glove slapping?

    Excellent.

Just wait until you get all the fun powers in the teens. Stalagmites, Volcanic Gasses and Freezing Rain. Mmmmm.
  21. If you had slow ticking damage in the sleep (every 5-10 seconds or so) and the sleep was applied after the damage then it could work. Enemy takes damage and then sleeps. Is woken up by the next damage tick (assuming no-one attacks him in the meantime), gets a shot off and then falls asleep again.
  22. Illusion/Storm (my first real toon and my only 50)

    I've a Grav/TA at 45 too and I'd still go Illusion/Storm.

Messy as hell, but worth it.

(shameless plug : Guides in my Sig)

Still a concern that your not taking your robot henchman powers as soon as they are available - for me a 'must' regardless of your secondary and gameplay focus

Prot Bots @12 and Assault Bot @26 please

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes, leave Swift off until level 18, take Recall Friend at 8, Prot bots at 12, FF Generator at 16 (as soon as its available), Assult at 26 and Health at 28 I'd say.
  24. Earth, without a doubt IMO.

    Scary combos available there
  25. Ice/Sonics seems like a decent fit to me (at least on paper). Mainly for the new Jack melee biased AI combined with the sonic shields and the ally targetted -resist debuff.

Grav/TA has good synergy at higher levels. Takes a while to get there though. Nothing like a immobilised bunch of enemies stuck falling over on a burning oil slick while you throw debuffs at them.
