As it stands now, You have to bring-up the "Powers" windows (generally at the bottom right) and find it in the "Temp Powers" section and right-click it there, then select Delete Power.
And what would seem to be the obvious way = Right-Clicking on the Temp Power up in the - uhm... 'Buff Bar'(?) - the string of buffs/active accolades/temp powers/etc. just below your HP/END/XP UI - and trying to delete them from there... Doesn't Work!
Which is annoying to say the least, you also can't see the time remaining on these without going down into the powers window and clicking for time left.
And unfortunately - this is also true with some other temp powers, and timed day job buffs = last time I checked...
I'm certain they tweaked some of these at some point not all that long ago. But, I don't believe they got around to "fixing" all of them yet... YMMV.
EDIT: To be clear I was referring to subject of deleting Empowerment Buffs, that was mentioned above, you CAN do it - but its a major PITA. -
Quote:TRU-DAT!...
Well the most abhorrent requirments are probably for the Damage taken badges (heroes and villains). Specially since only damage to base health works. The best way here would simply let it be ALL damage taken (and not just damage done to base health) count towards the badge.
This would help enormous (also for villains accolade).
*snip*
One change that irks me was towards the Fabricator badge. By making it so that converting Brainstorm ideas do not work towards making inventions... well for me I have plenty of brainstorm ideas that I wont use... yet.
10000 units when the buffs you create (through empowerment table) cannot be deleted/removed even is hampering the way towards Fabricator even more.
And DAT!! -

I dig that CoH Digest page that whoever(?) set up - one note it seems just a bit narrow.
I was scrolling down the page and got to the 7 or 8th entry I couldn't help but laugh when I saw this:

by Ghost FalconJust an fyi that we'll be sending out another round of Issue 16 Closed Beta invitations tomorrow afternoon (Friday) 8/14 at approximately 2PM Pacific / 5PM Eastern.
Please make sure that your Junk...
So much so, that I felt I had to share... -
Quote:Really? For starters I'm not a "kiddo" - I'll be 35 in October. And the time period I was joking about was around 89' to 95' or so (roughly 15 -20 yrs ago), and having a date was always an acceptable excuse for not showing up to a game.Relax kiddo, clearly I see which you prioritize first between real life and video gaming, but it was never my original point , just a comment that struck you're nerve.
Still, those first two lines were (mostly) a joke - I just couldn't pass up the 'humor opportunity' there, sorry.
What REALLY "got my nerve" - Was the assertion that Jack had all these "original ideas".
And that's what the rest of that post particular post was about (like 90% or more) - that nearly ALL of those "ideas" existed far before MMORPG's, there were some MUDS and stuff back then but that's not really the same thing...
Well, except for the "con'ing" targets system, "mobs", "agro", and all the other ideas/things that the first 'graphics-based' MMORPG's - (pretty much) blatantly ripped-off, from a couple of the various/more popular MUDS that proceeded them.
I love the game, but I'm hard-pressed to think of anything that is particularly original. The character costume system is very notably exceptional - it is pretty awesome and was shockingly 'spiffy' 5 years ago.
I just don't feel like Jack, "hung the moon" - the way you seem to think he did - based on your post about all his "original ideas"... -
I didn't mean in a literal sense, as in simultaneously = gaming while having sex.
Although... on the other handI suppose, (in theory) that could have bordered on being truly "Epic Gaming" - in a whole new sense.
Then again, that would depend on the players in the group...
The 'male to female ratio' that tended to occur in the average RPG gaming group (at least back then) - would've ruined the whole experience or just prevented it from starting more often than not - and potentially been a whole new level of "Epic Fail".
But it could bring a new meaning to the phrase, "That's how we Roll..." - our dice. There's a few other jokes just begging to be made... but I'm not gonna 'go there' - (at least not at this hour) - people are trying to eat breakfast, or something - maybe lunch/dinner on the other side of the pond.
Uhm, back to the announcement:
I was thinking about that 20% bonus "across the board" from 1-20 - it might be neat if it included drops. Maybe make-up for the loss of chances for drops due to the prior "XP-curve smoothing" = bonus at lower levels, that they already gave us!
I mean more XP per kill, = less kills, = less drops overall... right? I already turn off XP too often as it is - especially Villain-side, if I want to have a contact to buy inspirations from in Port Oakes... "The Radio" doesn't offer them (which makes sense I guess), but it's already REALLY easy to hit level 10 and not get any of the "starter" contacts there, if your not careful.
And you can pass 14 WAY too fast to finish a Contact's missions in the lvl 10-14 range. And as mentioned - the Mayhem & Safeguard Missions are really easy to outlevel with just about any given character, (meaning you have to get someone else to start them or do it with another toon on a 2nd account.)
I end up turning off XP at level 9, 14, and 19 - way too often already, so extra XP from 1-20 seems like overkill IMO. But a 20% bonus to recipe drops at those levels - would be something that I (and I suspect many other folks) would appreciate. But extra INF, TO's, or level 10/15 common recipes at those levels is kinda silly.
BTW, why do we get common recipes for levels that we've already passed? That end up being useless most of the time.
Then again... leveling is so fast at that point, level 10 common IO's are already kinda silly - and after the last XP boost/"smoothing" even 15's are a waste (unless you're turning XP off and planning on staying in that level range for awhile). -
Quote:Well, some of us... Actually managed to do BOTH of these things!Well the main thing to understand is that most if not all of the customization options where Jack's ideas. He was the prominent figure in CoH when it came to wanting to look different. As he has said countless times, he wanted a world where everyone was as diversed as the powers themselves.
What Jack did is make CO more Customizable obviously. Of course, things like power color changing and different travel powers where his ideas to begin with. I also find it funny that the sidekick system coming to i16 is pretty much the same as it is in CO. Strickingly coincedental timing aside....I do hope both just get better than that other MMO's out.
And no I didn't play the PNP Heroes game, I was too busy having sex. But I'm sure I would have loved it.
(Which apparently, is a somehow inconceivable, "Herculean Accomplishment" in your... mind/eyes/opinion?)
And FWIW, the PnP "Champs" game was "customizable" far beyond anything Jack (or anyone) would be able to pull-off in a computer game at this point - in the future... Sure, now not a chance!
You could use your character points to buy, for example: an "Energy Blast" or "RKA" (=ranged killing attack), then optionally apply 'advantages' or 'disadvantages' to it (=things that modified the game mechanic of the power & the point cost) Armor Piercing, Autofire, or limited Charges, only (or not) Usable in "___" Environment, etc.
Then you define the SFX of that power: flaming arrows, 'magic force' blasts, any sort of gun/ranged weapon, stale donuts & boiling coffee... = Whatever you can think of - as long as its only the Special Effects/SFX of the power - NOT the Mechanics of the power (that would require another advantage or disadvantage). Like, 'Bouncing' to reflect the shots off surfaces (To shoot foes behind some sort of cover, or around corners... or maybe not if you took "Line of Site" as a disadv.
One of the adv.'s was Variable Special Effects (maybe for an 'Archer' that can produce a variety of arrows or change the appearance of their arrows - like the Color of the archers arrows . Or arrows made of fire, ice, acid, etc.
But, "fire arrows" wouldn't set fire to anything, "ice arrows" wouldn't freeze anything, "acid arrows" wouldn't burn anything... Unless you bought them that way points - maybe via a "Linked" or triggered power.
That would, or could - work much like a "DOT" power...
It could be very simple or very complex (often depending on the GM) and being good with (mostly basic) math helped players quite a bit - although you could always get help "Building a Character" from someone else - often the GM or another player between sessions.
And of course you had to explain your powers, = "run them by the GM" to get his approval some powers could "break" certain storylines/campaigns if you weren't careful - but that's true to some extent in most any game.
Sadly, I doubt we'll see that much freedom (or level of "Customization") in any MMO or computer game, anytime in the near future. I can't forsee a game engine that could handle the truly massive number of possible Game Mechanics and the possible interactions.
Or have the ability for the graphics/SFX to match the imaginations of the Players in a PnP game.
Back to the point, no MMORPG's "Customization" of powers is even remotely close to "New" - and they sure as heck... weren't/aren't all Jack's ideas!
The PnP/tabletop - "Champions - aka HERO System", followed by GURPS, and other games... Have all been WAY more customizable than any computer game published to date. MANY, many - "City of" players have wished the game was more customizable in a manner closer to 4th or 5th Ed. Champions, or GURPS Supers, or a handful of other SuperHero PnP RPG's.
And, when CO was announced - as having the (unbelievably bland) Champs IP - and not the HERO System - with it's point based character building/rules/mechanics/etc:
'There was a great disturbance in the Net, as if the hopes of millions (Ok, 10's of thousands) cried out and were suddenly squashed.'*sigh*

Quote:This was one of my first thoughts as well...Hey I just realized something: With the abolition of the level restrictions for hazard zones, this means that the ability to get a jetpack temp power at level 1 is no longer exclusive to Villains. Rejoice! You can go to the Shadow Shard at level 1 and procure a jetpack of your very own soon!
This is huge for the folks on the Hero side that want to put off getting a travel power or forgo it altogether! -
Quote:I'm really hoping they change this - to allow lowbies to get the Vanguard Badge, just so we can get Vanguard Merits during Rikti Invasions. When the Mission Transporter allowed access to the RWZ (that ability is currently removed on Live) lowbies were still barred from joining the LGTF and they weren't high enough level to start the Levantera arc. And even if they were SK'd into the Levatera arc, it didn't allow them to get the Vanguard badge (which lets one get the Vanguard Merits) since only the mission holder got the badge.
Just like characters who have the Member of Vanguard Badge do, during the Zone Invasions - it REALLY sucks - knowing that I'm missing out on these Merits everyone else is getting.
All because I'm not level 35 yet and haven't run that mission - or as it seems even lowbie alts will be able to run it - but not get the badge?
This is often intentional, for a variety of possible reasons... like being a Completion-ist, Badger, Alt-aholic, etc.
Like for instance... not wanting to have ALL my recipe drops be at lvl 35+ !
Speaking of which, how will this change to side-kicking/exemp'ing effect drops? (Specifically - Recipe drops??)
You also mentioned losing access to powers (which would suck - but that's how it works atm anyway right?) Also, what effect will this have on slots, and the effects of exemp'ing on Enhancements' Values?
If you're changing the effects of Side-Kicking - this would be the time to do something about some of this stuff.
Example, there tends to be plenty of lvl 50 recipes at the markets - but not so at the lower levels. And having to "park a character" at a certain level to get lower level recipes IS an option - but its a kinda sad way to have to work around the way recipes drop at your (afiak) your security level - VS. the level you actually want them at...
Unless you go with Purple IO's.
Note: I'm only talking about the effect (quoted from paragon wiki) "their set bonuses are available at all levels even when exemplaring to a level where the power the set is placed into is unavailable, unlike other sets."
Not the part about, "They provide stronger enhancement bonuses and stronger set bonuses than normal, under the heading of Superior."
I honestly don't care about that part, It's the "not losing their effects while exemp'ing" that I'm concerned/talking about - Are all IO's going to gain this ability/effect?Please?
Anywho, I was just thinking it would be nice to be able to build up Vanguard Merits to get the Vanguard Storage Sack, and the costume options... I mean those characters ARE indeed fighting off the Rikti Attacks, all over the various lower-level Zones, it seems wrong that their efforts are seemingly being ignored.
(Story wise at the very least and Reward=Vanguard Merit-wise as well.)
I can kinda see wanting to prevent lowbies from crafting the Vanguard Heavy Power Core: Temp Power. But if that's what they want to spend their V.Merits on *shrug* it's only summon-able once (for 250 merits), and it'll die (or whatever) relatively fast.
I'd think most players would rather spend them on something more tangible/permanent like the Costume Options & Storage Sack.
Having to choose between doing sub-Level 35 content and getting sub-level 35-50 recipes, vs. getting V.Merits & the Vanguard Storage Sack and only level 35+ recipes, well... (Uhm, how should I put this?) Well frankly, it 'blows chunks through a straw'. -
Just out of curiosity, do you have the Alt and the Tab keys set to their defaults?
(IIRC) both are setup as commands (Tab =target next enemy) & (Alt =a power tray swap" command)?
I say (iirc) because I changed mine long ago, for better (IMO) Improved Targeting-Fu, and no accidental tray swapping.
Their was/(may still be?) also a stupid Windows *cough*B.S.function*cough* - that can (or used to) kick-in if you hit alt 5 times in a row, called "sticky keys" or some such name, which I did my best to kill-off completely... although it was quite roach-like in its capacity to keep going on despite being squished repeatedly.
Anywho, I do still have commands tied to my alt and tab keys, but they seem to "play well with others" more so now, vs. how they used to with the default keybinds...
I might suggest you try using Ctrl-Esc as an alternative way to "tab out" of the game - which in my experience - brings up the start menu & the task bar. From there... I can mouse over to other minimized programs in the task bar, or hit the "show desktop" icon in my quick launch bar and go from there.
I think this might help - to minimize your 30 sec. 'freeze-ups' Coin_ - the game has never seemed to like being issued a command (a tray swap or whatever) while being 'tabbed-out' of... (Maybe it gets it's feeling hurt?)
FWIW, I also think the game is leaking memory a bit (again) recently... And, the Task Manager seems to agree - it's (appears) to be eating up more memory after a couple hrs of play. Especially, if I'm using the market and making trips back & forth to a SG Base - whether its via Vet 'Base TP' or using the regular Base Portal...
And I've repeatedly crashed to REALLY old-school pop-up:
"CoH has encountered a problem, - Ignore, De-bug, Stop Program, etc. to continue"...
It's happened most often while trying to zone back in from a Base - and/or - if I go afk in my base for more than 15-20 mins.
(that just my 2 cents for ya) -
Quote:Re-read that news story, that's the Closed Beta for GR, Not I16.Sorry if I missed this in the sea of other posts, but here's a question:
While the boards were down there was a news item stating that players who had 60+ months paid would get a chance to get into the first wave of closed beta. Now, a timeframe of August 15 - November 15 is mentioned (expected time the game will be in beta?) According to PlayNC, I'm due to tick over to 60 months on August 18th. Would I still be eligible to get into that first wave of beta invites?

Quote:Finally, something I can agree with you onI've heard a lot of people complain about the GMs in this game, but honestly I've only once had a problem that wasn't quickly resolved via petition rather quickly, and it was sufficiently non-critical that I just waited until the week, when I expected them to be less busy. I think we have great GMs for this game.
RagManX- the GM's have always been great in this game.
Any & every time I've actually had the need to interact with the GM's over the years, they've been great - althogher it hasn't really been all that often - which is just one more good thing... -
Quote:Now, THAT... good sir is an Brilliant Idea!Wouldn't be surprised if quivers and visible weapons on character come in the natural booster.
I do kinda wonder if it's too late for that, - IDK if the Mutant or Natural Origin is scheduled to come out next? Nor for that matter, any idea of when either one is (tentatively?) scheduled to come out.
Heck, who knows...
Maybe they've already come up with something similar, or possibly "better" 'feature' - that could (essentially) accomplish the same effect?
Here's to hoping they do! -
Or, you can go to up to "Thread Tools" and select "Show Printable Version", and if you really wanna just read/skim a thread you can hit "Show 100 post(s) from this thread on one page"

Oh, I hate it when this happens!
Especially with the Mob Bosses in Port Oakes, they stand around in pairs on occasion (depending on my level/difficulty slider - if I'm not mistaken), and when I go to kill them (even when they're white, blue, or green = not grey to me) they run like scared kittens for a 'nearby door' to disappear into - before I get a chance to take them out... Wussies.
Rather amusingly, just last week or so I was badging for a few of these guys with a lowbie alt (from a themed VG) and managed to I hit one of them with my Nemesis Staff - when he had the door half open - the knockback kicked-in on him... I think he died, I'm not certain because I was laughing to hard.
He went floating up into the air, outside of and away from the building, like he was going up to heaven (or maybe not), it may have been some effect like he was going to another part of a mission map, IDK.
And sure, it does kinda makes sense for the Mob Bosses to run. But, I'd think they might wait until they're hurt - like even a tiny little bit...
But no, these "wiseguys" - tend to take-off at the first sign of a "mean glance" in their general direction!
"I'll get those dirty scum..." /shakesfistintheair
"Wait, I'm dirty scum too, Doh!" -
If you click User CP = (User Control Panel), then go to Edit Options, then scroll down to Miscellaneous Options - you can set the Basic Editor, Standard Editor, or Enhanced Interface "Full WYSIWYG Editing"...
The Default is set to Basic, the last 2 have most of the formating options selectable at the top (and even a "Switch Editor Mode".
Although, I'm not entirely sure yet what that changes or how.
You can text to - bold, italitcs, underlined, select from some colors, insert links, and insert images (and the first top left little box says it'll - "remove all text formating").
IDK how to set Font/Type size yet, and there's no list of smileys or anything (?) but there are a few I've seen that are actually very simple... (as in Homer Simpson "Doh!" simple)
I've seen the shifting colors thing (where a paragraph starts with one color/shade and cycles through range of colors) - But, I haven't figured that out just yet.
Once you change your options to Not use the Basic Editor it seems to be mostly the same as the UBB code, and TBH it's probably "easier" - IF you don't already have the UBB code "stuck in your head"... (so to speak).
Oh wait this just in! (As in I just noticed it.)
Down at the bottom left of the page in the "Posting Rules" box there's (with my settings ATM), clicking on smiles brings up a page with a list of basic Smiles.
BB code is On
Smiles are On
[IMG] code is On
and HTML code is Off
Doh!
Ok, when I went to hit "Preview Post" there was a "Go Advanced" button/box... - which brought up all sorts of stuff like selectable Smiles, Fonts, Font sizes, Align Left or Right, Ordered Lists, and even Indenting, etc.
(Well, there's one less excuse for poor grammar, punctuation, and whatnot - in the forums.)
And, I just realized I actually HAVE used this Setup before on another forum/board - it just had the "Message Editor Interface:" defaults set differently.
Ok, this isn't nearly as bad as I thought it was gonna be... -
Quote:WORD!Maybe you are right. In the old forum I could select View All and then scroll through an entire thread no matter how long. Will I be able to do that here? Somehow I doubt it...
I certainly hope we'll be able to - somehow.
Uhm, on a related note: Is there some way to show the code for Smiles and all the stuff that used to have the "instant UBB code"?
After finally learning how to use most of that stuff - just typing it in without the cut & paste it mess...
Now, I have to learn new stuff? Granted, some of it seems fairly similar and I've seen some of the spiffy color effects used here already (and some other board at some point).
Am I missing something obvious here, OR do I need to find some other reference for this sorta thing while I'm re-learning? -
[ QUOTE ]
...umm, I still care.
[/ QUOTE ]
Might that be, (at least partially) - due to the 7 Billion and change of Inf you "destroyed" recently?
I'm kidding of course, well... kinda.
Even I'm not very so concerned about say - 3K vs. 15K,
or maybe 50K vs. 200K, or possibly even 500K vs 750k...
But, the idea that "anything under a million Inf" is somehow like anything under 10$ is just change you drop in the car console/cupholder.
I'm doing pretty well (in spite of my alt-itis), but 3K = 600K... or anything under a million isn't worth bothering with?
Uhm, I'm gonna have to go with NO on that.
Of course I don't play at lvl 50, I don't really "farm", and if I'd ignored 300K to 1M sales - (or more recently 500k to 5 Million Inf sales), I doubt I'd ever have gotten out of the "market-basement".
Although for people that sneeze at 1 Million Inf - like its negligible (or like its the 'penny tray change'), I suppose I'm still in the "market-basement" working dingy niches that, (I suppose) aren't worth other people's time?).
Inflation is steadily rising in game - and I don't think I'm the only one that isn't "poor" by any means -- but still can't begin to buy/flip/slot (or whatever) the 100 million+ Inf items.
I logged in earlier today and found a stack of common salvage that sold for 2 million - on a alt I hadn't logged in in 30 days, and several other stacks that added up to a rather decent amount of Inf...
Until I go to buy something and the bid I left a month ago on a recipe is still unfilled, & I look at the most recent sales of that recipe being 10 or 20 times what they were a month ago.
Keeping up with Inflation and the earning curve isn't nearly as easy for "everyone", I'm sure it is for some - but I can't see there being enough niches to go around literally everyone.
So while I agree that the idea/argument that "anyone can do what they or _insert name here_ does" - is valid.
But, I don't believe its possible for that to be valid for "everyone that puts in the effort", or "everyone who is willing to learn to market", or "all those who're willing to try"... at least not all/everyone at the same time.
I can't see selling anything for 1 inf - unless it's something I'm just selling for that price rather than vendor or delete it.
I suppose what I'm saying is that while the people that say "it's raining Inf" are right to an extant, but there is still a palpable sense of "class-warfare" in the game's economy.
The people for whom "anything under a million - is basically equal to 1 inf" (as Ragman seemed to suggest), and your Inf Destruction Fulmens, are (IMO) just 2 examples of that...
When I'm looking a couple 100 million or so - on my wealthier toons, and meanwhile people are posting screenshots of toons with 1-2 Billion.
It feels much the same as when I had a couple million per toon - and in the neighborhood of 10M up to maybe 25M on handful of my "marketing toons". And people were buying/selling/slotting cart-loads of 25 to 100 million Io's/Recipes and whatnot.
It still seems like the only way to catching up to the wave of inflation is going to be Leveling-up toons to 50... (well before I want to level them up - to where every roll/recipe is awarded at the max level available) and then using those 50's to grind out "X million Inf per hour" or an average of "X many Bronze/Silver/Gold/Merit Roll" per hour...
Or do whatever it is that's the most efficient method that people have stumbled on - most recently.
That's just a sad stat of affairs... I'm not saying I can't figure out what the current "best farming" method/approach is and do the same thing.
I'm just saying that I don't want to feel like I need to do that - just to catchup to the Jones, much less keep up with them. -

Um, excuse me?
While Dark Servant does not take damage, it is not permanent until killed. Which means it actually does need to be up faster than it recharges normally at times.
I really wonder if the developers just hate Dark Miasma on general principle.

They don't, not exactly...
But I do believe it's taken disproportionately more often than most of the other choices.
*(Except for maybe /Kin for Cor's & Def's), IMHO that's because Villainside - Twilight Grasp is one of the few Heals you can solo with. That and because so many of the other Cor's, MM's, and even some Def's Secondaries simply have too many "You cannot use this power on yourself" aka Ally Only powers.
Sure that promotes teaming (in theory), but I can barely stand to play w/ the Secondaries like that have almost no powers that are helpful for soloing (especially early on).
And the other self-heal options are Transfusion - that you have to be very close to the target - not a great idea if you're needing to heal yourself.
OR, you can choose the PBAoE Heal in /Rad or /Warmth, Triage Beacon is a PITA (the long recharge), or (the fairly recent choices of) the PBAoE in /Pain Dom.

EDIT:
While we're on Pets and their accepting Enh's, any chance the Protector Bot's "Repair" ability is ever gonna show-up in it's Real Numbers Info?
I've bugged this more then once in Beta's and on the Live Servers - never heard a peep from anyone about it.
I don't think it can really be the same as the /Bots MM's actual "Repair" or it wouldn't accept Healing Enh's. But, if it does work like the MM /Bots "Repair" - then it should take End Mod Enh's - not Healing Enh's. -
I'm still wishing they would let Veteran Rewards be tied to a new account on the same CoX/NCsoft Master Account!
I can't stand the idea of playing on a second account without the Vet Rewards I have on my current account.
And trying to "duo" with two accounts, so 'out of sync' like that, would make it even more painfully obvious.
Besides running 2 characters as a solo-"duo", the only reason 2 even have a 2nd account (in my opinion) is for transferring 'stuff' (IO's/Inf) to alts, or inviting them into solo-SG's, or maybe to create disposable characters to farm with I'm not sure?
And if I can't Duo (2 toons with matching VR's), then why not just pickup a stack of $9.99 copies of the game, and activate a new one every now and then = when I want the 2nd account for the sake of "utility" or whatever?
I'm just asking... why not?
I've brought it up before, and nobody important listened - and all this time I've only had my 1 account. (Oh, I did have a couple temporary trial accounts back before they gimped them into useless-ness.)
It's not about extra slots for more alts... I have more toons than I can keep up with (most of the time) = 5 servers full of toons.
And couple servers with No toons on them, and a several servers w/ maybe only 1 or 2 heroes/villains on them...
And I have more SG's than I know what to do with, (so to speak). 3 or 4 are pretty much fully equipped - for a "solo base". 1 Blue-side, 2 Red-side, a few smaller but fairly function sg's/bases - a couple of those are coalition'ed with the bigger ones, and few that are just 1 or 2 toons without enough prestige to build bases yet.
IDK, I don't really think that is asking for more than what I have already "earned".
I just haven't been able to justify opening a permanent 2nd account - that's "missing" my current "earned" Vet Rewards... I paid for my account by the month for well over a year (iirc), before I switched over to the year-long subscription option = discount. But... with the sales tax due to living in Texas, it comes out to roughly the same $15 as it costs most folks.
And, BTW - I miss the comics too, although I understand why they changed that when they did... *sigh* -

You know... it'd take some serious timing and teamwork, not to mention insanity, but those could still be bought.
I'm wondering how the game would list the uncollected sales... "Sold 10 for 20000000000"? Can it display that many zeros, or would it have to use an exponent?
Fabulously stylish, Fulmens. That's a hell of a listing.

I can see it now, one day he logs in, checks WW's and "boom" he breaks the market! -
I think these two are pretty awesome.
63 Months: Honorable = [u]The ultimate cure for OCD-related "fog of war" clearing[u] and many wasted hours...
"Fog Be-Gone Button" FTW!
66 Months: Enduring = All types of Extra Slots... very nice, can't complain about those.
I recently hit = 54 Months: Allegiant and it rocks, getting the 2nd wand/staff power = perfect for those darn "oh noes, run-away" mobs on melee toons or taking Sands of Mu on ranged ranged toons or those that I originally picked the Axe with - for thematic reasons.
I'm dreading the next one though - 57 Months: Abiding = a Tailor Discount? I already have costume tokens for expensive changes, or Inf for minor changes.
Yes, I'm sure some people really dig that VR - if they switch costumes on a near-daily basis, for RP or seasonal attire (even if we normally get Tokens for seasonal/event costume changes, and with each issue, 1 per open costume slot)... *sigh*
But, the VR at 60 Months: City Traveler, will probably make me forget the severe let down of 57: Abiding's - 50% Tailor Discount...
But between now and them it's gonna be a long, dreadful 6 months (roughly) waiting for City Traveler...
SJ'ing, SS'ing or (maybe) Flying through lowbie Zones will be sweet - even though I know I'll go back and pickup C.Jump, Hasten, Hover, or AirSup. at some later level(s) on most characters. -
My Oldest "Main" Eng/Eng Blaster = /Energy Manipulation changed to Blue Finally
(Many other toons with /EM will also get changed to Blue or to match their various Primaries.)
I'll likely change Hasten and SuperSpeed on too many Alts to recall off-hand...
I'm really hopeful there will be a way to 'soften' or 'mute' the intensity of these. I certainly hope there's a way to reduced the 'brightness' or 'luminescence'
I also saw a thread somewhere here about "Will we be able to use Clear as color?" I hope we can at least manage to accomplish something similar, maybe by changing the transparency (or would that be translucency?), somehow...
A plain on fiddling with the Armor/Toggles on my Melee Toons - some of these sets like (iirc) Dark Armor, Electric, Etc.
(Dang, I'll have to look and check to be certain, but some of the Sets armor/toggles tend to heat up my aging video card - to where I get a screen of black/white/pink/green "static". And have shutdown the PC for a couple mins before restarting it.
So I've tuned-down a few of the video settings some and that helped, but the 100+ degree weather and 'heat pump' a/c aren't helping. That, and having to use spare ATX PSU on my desk behind my little (neraly 5 year old) Shuttle XPC - with the power leads/wires threaded thru the hole where the little specialty Shuttle PSU exhaust fan and plug was - don't help the airflow in my poor little SFF PC. (Shuttle doesn't stock that particular PSU anymore, not regularly anyway.)
So, there are a few alts I just can't play unless I'm zoomed in REALLY close - so I can't see my own toggles! *sigh*
I know, I know "sounds like the card is gonna fail...", "get a new 'Puter". But, that's not really an option for me just yet.
And Going Rogue's (hinted at) "graphic improvements" are probably gonna mean I'll need to upgrade anyway. Heck, I couldn't even get to through Character Creation in Aion - before my dang video card overheated.
I still have a /*cringe* "single core" proc, "only"1 gig of (very nice) ram... But yeah, I'll have to start from scratch with a new rig, which is cool. I can use this this one for Firefox, Winamp, Vent (or TS?) and watching DVD's, or whatever.
Just not all of that at the same time!
A new PC is on the horizon for me, But for now... I16 being on the horizon is pretty fraking sweet!
I'm digging all the I16 Info (so far) and as for the OP question (Sorry about the long post, I can't help it.) = The very 1st Color change I'll make is Blue for Energy Manipulation, then I'll take a whack at taming the Speed Power Pool.
