Yeah the rest of the Pre-Order Helms were overdue...
I don't see the problem - IE the people feeling jipped that they already had one from the Pre-Order.
(I mean I have one of those helms, but I don't have any characters that actually wear one.)
The reality is that if you get them anytime soon - odds are you had one from the pre-order, right?
Anywho,
I do wish they'd picked some different Temp Powers for the 54 Month Reward. I'm guessing they did this to reduce the amount of whining from people with little Vet-Time.
As in - "Hey they're not new or over-powered, they're already balanced and available and haven't Broken the game yet..." or that sort of thing.
I can't imagine it would've been that difficult to have given us a choice between a few of the other Temp Powers.
Maybe from the ones you can get in the Safeguard mission "Weapons Deal" or any of the Temp powers that don't go poof at the end of a mission, like so many of the mission temps do.
And animation-wise they're already in the game, so I have to think this is a "lets limit/avoid balance arguments regarding New Vet Reward Powers".
That said the whole - "Choose the one you don't already have" is really underwhelming/disappointing.
I'd bet 95% of the time people will be picking whichever ranged attack they didn't take the first time - Unless they're picking one for RP purposes or they accidentally picked the Axe the first time - I think it's generally accepted/agreed that the Axe sucks!
(Unless it happens to fit a particular Character - but again that really for RP purposes...) -

I dont agree with the sg thing. If I invite a friend to try a trial account, i cant bring them into my sg to kinda make them a part of the group to encourage them to stay. Do the RMTers actually use some part of a sg to spam? It isnt like we invite rmters into our sg's and have a problem with "$49.99 for 5 mill! pst to new sg member!!!!!" he wouldnt be in the sg more than 30 seconds longer lol.
[/ QUOTE ]
Blame the people who made trial accounts and filled up their SGs just before prestige grants for that one.
[/ QUOTE ]
was that really a problem? so they have enough prestige to make a nice base? how does that hurt anyone.
[/ QUOTE ]
On top of which ... OK I wasn't playing or following the boards at the time, but I ran into someone who swore to me that Lighthouse and Ex Libris specifically advocated that behavior. Now that seemed a little silly to me, I didn't see much NCSoft benefit in trials being used like that. But he was sure enough that I do believe him.
So it seems like a big jump from "we recommend it" to "it's not allowed."
Not that CoH would ever overreact to anything.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, I really have a problem with the not being able to join a SG.
The main reason, I can't get any new characters into any of my existing SG's.
So out of the 5 extra character slots I got - (the 2 freebies +3 for veteran yrs), so far I've only created 1 character with 1 slot so far.
And the Devs knew full well what was going on with the SG padding, for the Prestige Grant.
There was a HUGE thread (and a couple small ones) where people were organizing it so that everyone that wanted to do so
could matchup and swap slots.
Some players rejected the idea "on principal" and whatnot & they even protested it at the time as "not being fair" for people that were UBER-STRICT RP'ers & couldn't bring themselves to create a "throw away Padding alt" for such nefarious *turns into Charlie Brown's teacher's voice about here* "wham whon wham whon whah..."
They complained, the Devs choose not to do anything about it - people wanted them to just hand out the max bonus to all groups- that idea didn't fly, nor did any other similar ones.
If the players were willing to go to the effort of creating one (or several) trial accounts, creating the all those alts to join other peoples groups, "networking" on threads & in game to setup the slot swaps, etc. - then they seemed to be okay with it.
Granted many people were just using any and/or all unused slots they had at the time - like on the servers they never play on - to do this.
And, personally I was amazed at just how many active accounts some people had/have.And some even created more trials accounts for this!
Seriously though, it breathed new life into the Base Building Community if you don't believe me you only have to check out the Bases Construction section of the Forum.
And furthermore, bases/base items have always been WAY overpriced.
I believe I can say with some certainty that most players just never got into using bases the way the Devs "originally intended".
And the Cathedral of Pain s.n.a.f.u. was only a part of that, people (on average) just don't form SG's that big - and they even changed Rent at one point to help the problem -which was awesome and it did help at bunch.
The Prestige Grant was another boost that THEY decided to give us - I don't imagine it was for no reason.
And when they didn't seem to really sweat the accidental "Merry Base-mass Grant", that leads me to believe "base padding with alts" really isn't a huge concern for them - who does it hurt??
[ QUOTE ]
Also, I believe I've heard of RMT and trail account people joining SG's and looting their storage bins. Yes you can blame the SG's for giving new members permissions, but why limit legitimate new members that aren't trail accts?
[/ QUOTE ]
Now TBH, I hadn't thought of trial accounts being used to do this enough to make this kinda change, but people on regular accounts can rob you blind just as easily, and that's part of why my SG's are "Solo SG's".
Relying on someone else to help me get any new alts into my Groups is a sad work-around for this. having a 2nd account is another solution for this, but I don't and I have TR account I've hardly played since last fall.
(I got a year sub right off the bat - but I've been having more fun here - and I'm just not into the PvP that seems to drive TR - and the crowd that comes along with it.)
Anywho...
I might get a 2nd account IF it were tied to my current account via my PlayNC account - for the Veteran Rewards, not having the stuff I do on my account now would make a 2nd one without them "painful" (or call it super-annoying) to play without the Base TP power & whatnot.
Quite ironically this is why I'd never actually PLAY (dual-box or whatever) the game with a Trial Account as a 2nd account - it would suck...
Oh the one other thing that struck me as odd was the -
"Can't level-up past 13" = which means no travel powers.
I guess that could be an attempt to hobble/gimp the RMT'ers, or just a mean-hearted "carrot on a stick".
IDK which is the actually the case - but when this was first brought up - IIRC they were going to let people level to 14 - so they COULD try out a travel power before their trial ran out - or rather this was discussed as a plausible reason for making that the level limit. *shrug*
And I can't see why they shouldn't be able to reply to a tell either, that seems a bit harsh as well. -
The Snood thing started because somebody talked about being addicted to the puzzle game - one version can be found here: Snood online game
It's also a hairnet, or headband - by definition snoods
The delicious tears thing is something that somebody revived into an internet "meme" of sorts a couple years ago - at least.
Google it and you find it on WoW forums & that sorta thing.
I found used in the name of a recipe from a blog-ish online cookbook article dated Jan. 7th 2006. Onion Soup without Tears Recipe [ QUOTE ]
"It's a twist on classic onion soup adapted for cry-babies..."
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm not certain when it became a "cool" hip thing to call "crybabies"...
Although from what I can tell it was originally taken from an early 18th century poet/novelist - Letitia Elizabeth Landon
Seems to be from this line "Delicious tears! The hearts own dew." in
THE GUERILLA CHIEF. It's also listed here as well.
But I'm not certain, trying to look up internet memes tends to lead you to sites that mock you for trying to look up the meaning of a meme.
The sites are chock full of leet-speek & stupidity in roughly equal parts.
It's works on the premise of "your only cool if you know what it means - without someone else telling you (or you looking it up) & by the time you figure it out, we'll come up with a new one to make fun of all the non-cool kidz".
Sites like encyclopedia dramatica - with bogus articles and links you DO NOT want to click on.
One amusing thing I found while looking around at some of the crap trying to figure out when the "delicious tears" meme originated, was a little bit about - "once the meaning of a meme is known it's no longer a meme".
But my best guess-timate is that it's from some WoW Forum post in 2006, and migrated over to the CoX forum via some momo. -
"Self-Heal powers do not benefit from Heal Set bonuses. For example, Reconstruction, Kuji-in Rin, Healing Flames, Dull Pain. This seems to be related to powers that include a +Res(damage) effect."
Yeah - on say Healing Flames - I'd prefer to lose the +Res (toxic -iirc) and be able to use Healing Sets in it . That's if I had to choose between one or the other.
Something that afaik has never been addressed is the Inf Crafting costs on some Recipes - like many of the Level 25's being about 75K vs. something around 25-30k for Level 24's or 26's.
There are some other IO recipes with the same problem, where the IO in question is another level like - 30, 35, 40 - I'm not exactly sure which IO's/Levels off-hand, but I know there are some.
It's unclear whether a number of the End Mod IO's Set are supposed to work in which powers and if so how.
Like Transfusion, and if "Energy Manipulator - Chance for Disorient" is actually working or not, some have said it is - others said no, idk maybe it's on an AT basis?
There was some change about it not effecting PVP targets - so as not to affect other players when used with Speed Boost, but this is just one of the many iffy situations with some combinations of powers & IO Sets.
Twilight Grasp, & Transfusion spring to mind (Kinetics is altogether a bit dubious) anything that has two effects - like a drain & healing, the heal & resist buff (mentioned above), and possibly some others related to the I11 IO's - To hit Debuff, To hit Buff, etc - where their effects aren't always very obvious - and even if the combat logs says there's an effect, it's never been a particularly reliable source of info.
The text for Set Enhancements allowed in powers now has the First letter uncapitalized "knockback" instead of "Knockback" for the first IO type allowed in a power.
This might be a display bug, more than anything?
I know I /bug'ed it in Beta, but it didn't get fixed yet - it might be connected to the powerset type like knockback vs Knockback, or just that whatever is listed in that line there is uncapitalized - not a big deal but, it should be fixed. -

Could you even generate content for your SG that can be *gasp* run from the base Mission Computer/Oracle!?
[/ QUOTE ]
Can you say Danger Room? *er well, uhm... maybe Dangerous Room?
Well probably not - but you get the idea.
And the first thing I thought of when someone was talking about putting Hellions in a mission, in addition to someone mentioning they might work like Radio missions - is the ability to put in humorous things in the mission texts.
Example: I ran into a Radio mission featuring Hellions, who'd kidnapped Dr. Frank N Scott, and were trying to get information on a ritual from him.
I just about died when I saw some of the NPC text in the chat window "We know the first part of the ritual is a jump to the left..."
It sounds good to me, I'm sure they have something in mind to deal with the really Obvious potential exploits - customizing a map to maximize Drops, XP, or whatever.
It's also been pointed out that there are plenty of farmable missions now anyway so if people want to run through their own boring maps over & over - that's not much different than what people can do now, or what you always been able to do.
That is by making a new character to re-do all the missions from the beginning (choosing the Origin that will tend to give you whatever you prefer to fight/farm).
If people choose to do that fine, But hopefully more people will actually be interested in using it as Posi Described

" to create missions and story arcs for your characters and others to participate in. Youll be able to pick the map, villain group, and objectives, as well as write the dialog and any clues needed for the missions. When you are satisfied with it, you can upload it and have other players across all servers play it and rate it. Fame will come to the players whose stories rate the best overall.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm intrigued by the idea that there might (possibly) be a new type of reward/currency - basically something new to strive for, or work towards = "Fame".
A reward/goal that couldn't be gained be Grinding, would most likely be not transferable (a least to some extent - it could be tied to a player account, not to specific characters), and its something the RMT'ers won't be able to offer for sale!
Even if the aforementioned "Fame" is just literal fame = bragging rights (maybe with a pseudo-scoreboard?) it would be something new for players to work for.
Obtaining fame, whether it's quantified or ranked (or maybe not - although this would be passing up a great opportunity) - It would be a new spin on the idea of "End-game content" that people are always clamoring for.
Although there really should be a new term for it, because "End-game" would be an extremely oxymoronic way to describe this New Element of the game - because it would allow us to have a nearly "Endless Game".
Even if it part of the system works out to be several large lists - that the "GM"(?) will choose from - aka "Pick X number of factions, on map type Y, with a semi-generic mission goal of Z".
You would still be able to do Tons of storytelling - only limited by your imagination, using the Mission text, Npc dialog, various props = "glowies", hostages, Npc "pets", etc.
And ideally the destructible "Mayhem Mission" stuff, maybe side-missions, ambushes/events and who knows what else the might be cooking up?
I'm Totally Stoked about this Announcement, and can't wait to hear more details about it.
Oh and for all the people worried about Created Missions effecting the ESRB Rating... They could easily use a disclaimer to the effect of "Player created content not rated by the ESRB", very similar to the way Tabula Rasa does with "Online Interactions Not Rated By The ESRB" shown prominently on the login screen. -

What happened to the nice stickied list of guides and such on this forum? It's gone from what I can tell.

3.) With 300k, you can easily have a base to store enhancements and whatnot. It is very feasible.
[/ QUOTE ]
How do you efffectively use it to Store Enhancements again?
It seems like I'd have to login 2 accounts and manually hand-off the Enhancements to an Alt in the second Group to store them there.
I know this had been discussed before, but I don't recall there being a good solution to this - when the trial account expires I can't really access the 2nd group - I still have an alt from my normal account in the group, but he's the only Character that I can really use the 2nd Base's Enhancement Storage for, correct? -

They listened! They really listened! Guys, I am tearing up.
This is awesome. A few free slots...a vet reward (which I'd been campaigning for)...and an affordable one-time fee for extra. This is the best of all possible solutions.
Awesome...just awesome.

Ditto.
I mean we got the full meal deal = a Tasty Burger, the Awesome Fries, the Tasty Beverage, and an extra Side of Hellyeah!
Hellyeah - being the "update to the character selection screen that lets you re-organize your character list by Drag and Drop, as well as easily flip between up to three pages of characters available on that server."
Now if they wanted to super-size their new happy meal deal - they could look into Two things mentioned above in this thread (and elsewhere previously, more than once).
The first by Suspicious_Pkg:
[ QUOTE ]
Agreed. It would be nice if they tied vet time to the master PlayNC account date rather than the individual game account. But being able to buy slots with a one-time fee will be a better alternative for me than opening an additional account and paying monthly.

And the other by 9thcircle:

Now if there were a way for me to add my soon to be new characters to my 1 person SG without using another player. )Maybe a SG/VG recruitment station in Pocket D.) It would make it just a little more awesome.
[/ QUOTE ]
You guys managed to make all of the "Sides/Factions" in the previous thread (argument) on additional character slots happy and all.
You know I'm just saying, while your at it and all... no pressure or anything.
Edit: BTW the Vet Reward part makes me alot more enthusiastic about recently getting the 39 month = Ardent.
Before today - I was like *sarcasm "oh yippee, boxing outfits"*.
Now it means that 45 won't feel so empty to me (42 & 48 already looked sweet) - and I'll bet this applies to many other folks too, among all levels of the Vet Rewards.
-
So What?
[ QUOTE ]
Initially, we're working with the current fictitious billboard which are static placements.

[ QUOTE ]
The second thing that Double Fusion gives us is 100% control over all the advertising campaigns that we allow to be displayed within the game. So if we feel that something doesn't fit within the City of Heroes universe, we won't allow that to be displayed within the game.
[/ QUOTE ]
So maybe "El Super Mexicano Burrito" - becomes Taco Bell, or Taco Bueno, or whatever.
The "Crey Billboard" becomes an NC Soft, or Corsair, or Asus Billboard, big deal.
They already know we won't likely stand for massive (or probably even noticeable slow downs) - which seems unlikely anyway as they'll be filling the same spaces.
And the Example of a Gatorade-ish ad ("HQ - Hero Quencher) is perfectly fine - instead of some of some fake Sushi place.
Or replacing stuff like the old Anti-Kheldian propaganda "They're Among Us" - fine by me!
And if for some reason the ads still get your undies in a bunch you can opt-out! -
I'd like to have an opportunity to Rename a SG/VG, even if it's just once like they once did with our global handles.
I've "inherited" a SG and a VG - I joined them with my main Hero and main Villain shortly after CoV came out, and due to attrition & other various reasons, they're "mine" now.
Some folks left with a farewell = "I'm moving to more Active Group", some left in search of a PvP base Raid-capable Group - back when people thought the CoP was going to be fixed "soon"and some seemed to be from the generic player turn-over rate.
After the Prestige Grant went through, (Well, both of them actually- being a procrastinator paid off for once - who'da thunk it?) - I finally went ahead and kicked the handful of characters that were still hanging around with 600-700 "days since last played" & collecting dust.
I also kicked 1 in the VG and maybe 2(?) in the SG that were last logged in 6+ months ago.
Given that some groups kick people after a week or a month, I think 180-200 days AWOL was reasonable.
I probably wouldn't have even done this if I knew whose Toons they were or had globals handles for them, but I didn't know/remember whose characters they were anymore - Heck, I don't know if I ever did?
It was also part of the "protected storage" issue, those groups are now my own "solo-groups" for now.
And will most likely stay that way unless I have RL friends that decide to return to the game.
(There were about 8-10 of them at one point before the Arena/PvP balance-nerfs & ED, and several of them came back for awhile during I7 and not long before I8 iirc?, it was definitely before I9 though.
Anywho, I'm hoping I can convince them to pickup the Good vs. Evil Edition at Walmart if they haven't already and start playing again.
I might even buy each of them the GvE pack if they'll agree to play again, and not bail after the 1st month or so.
But I KNOW they aren't going to like the names of the SG - idk for certain about the VG.
But being able to change it to something everyone would be ok with would be nice.
And this may seem silly, but I've really gotten into base-building , even before the Prestige grant I had enough for functional "Solo" Bases. I can Live with the silly name SG.
(I got blind invited and joined on a whim mostly so I could go into SG mode and get Base Salvage - helping earn Prestige was just a bonus, although now over 2 years later, I'm very glad I joined the group.)
My other Request is a way to Invite my alts to Groups without having to make a trial account, or rely on someone else to help me add New Alts when I think of a new concept for Character.
And right now I'd have to "dual box" to do this - running both my main account & a trial account on my PC is PITA.
Being able to promote &/or demote members not online would also be very nice - in relation to the base storage security issue & so I could give more of my alts Base Editing permission, storage access, etc.
Having one or more Unknown Toons in the group with storage access & other Permissions - was very worrisome.
Until I made a trial account to help with the "pre-prestige grant padding, I only had a couple villains in the villain group, and my main Hero in the SG.
Its amazing what I can do now (with the characters that I added to the groups before the Trial Account ran out).
I don't have the luxury of multiple accounts, I recent got a year subscription for CoX in September & for Tabula Rasa not long after release - so I feel like I'm paying NC Soft a fair amount of money right now, along with my subs over the last 3 years...
And Chris Chung's recent answer in an MMORPG.com interview Will there be an NC Pass? question was "[We] should have something to announce this year, said Chung. There isnt anything really holding it back, but timing, making sure our infostructure supports it, and we want to make sure its the right thing for our customers.
Ok this is way too long for some folks to read, & I could go on but I'll stop for now! -
Doesn't this mean you have to either have assistance from another player or 2 accounts (Running on 1 or 2 PC's) to access that coalition storage?
For example I have a coalition "Storage Base". But The problem is I only have one real Toon/Alt in that SG.
So atm, He is the only character I have that can retrieve things from that base's storage.
Oh wait... I suppose I could log out of my current Toon, Log that Coalition Toon/Alt in, have him go get the items from the Coalition Storage & then he could port to then drop it in my "Main" SG's storage...
But there are issues with this:
1. There has to be room for the item(s) not such a big deal if it were just ONE thing, but still.
2. You'd need pretty much need to know exactly what you wanted to get before you logged to the Coalition Toon/Alt.
3. This is a major PITA!
The Better Solution might be to allow access to coalition(s) storage, AND add in the multiple levels of permission in any one of the various methods suggested around here previously.
Like say, having Permissions for each container. This could be setup on a per room basis - so you could say "all the bins in the common room (or workshop 1, etc.) are open access", or something along those lines.
Or they could let us put in small 1x1 personal rooms for specific characters (or maybe all characters from 1 Account?)
I'm sure there are lots of ways they can, or could - address the storage/permissions/theft issues.
I have no clue which would be the most feasible to implement though?
EDIT: To address OneKnight's comment quoted below
[ QUOTE ]
The one downside is that it would further encourage players to create multiple solo bases and coalition with themselves, lessening the interaction with other players. Not the intention in an MMO environment.
[/ QUOTE ]
I think it's pretty fair to say that Bases & Coalitions have NEVER been used by players "as intended".
The countless Solo SG's, and all the Base Padding Hoopla prior to the Prestige Grant - is a testament to this, granted there were many "holier than thou" people complaining about Groups/Players "padding their Bases" as being any or all of the following:
Just Plain/Flat out "Wrong", "Not As Intended", Unfair, Immoral, Unethical, and a number of other less polite things.
Like I said the fact that so many people did that, and the Devs KNEW we we're doing it, and still gave out the bonus based on = "the current number of Members in the SG/VG as of Maintenance on the morning of the Grant".
And they HAD to foresee players doing this even before they decided to do the Prestige Grant, and their "oh well, happy holidays" reaction to the Accidental Double Grant, pretty much leads me to believe they're no worried about this sort of thing as much as before.
I think they're ditching the "Anti-MontyHaul-ism GM", "No reward without equivalent or greater risk" View/Attitude.
For a more liberal/lenient "Lets give the players what they want within (some) reason" Approach/View. (IMO of course) -

Deflated Ego: Chance for Recovery Debuff is debuffing the summoner when used in Seeker Drones.
...
[/ QUOTE ]
Anyone know if this is doing the same with other Powers?
I slotted - Deflated Ego: Chance for Recovery Debuff & Deflated Ego: To Hit Debuff/Recharge, in both Dark Blast and Gloom on my Dark/Dark Defender this morning, I thought these were some of the New IO's that were working.
BUT, I must've missed the post quoted above - I figured since I use those 2 attacks all the time, that would be a nice place to have the 25% chance to Debuff & the Two +03% accuracy set bonuses would be nice on a lowbie defender.
My combat log shows it as affecting my targets (And to my "delight" at first - it was checking with each tick of Gloom's DoT!)
That would be sweet if the combat log isn't lying to me.
But I'm running out of end Fast, I'm afraid I may have screwed the proverbial pooch on this one, but IDK for sure.
I was running out of end pretty fast before slotting them - and I haven't slotted any End Reduction in those powers yet, And I don't have any other End. Red. powers or Stamina, etc.
I (obviously) went with the Deflated Ego IO's instead of the Recharge Red. & End Red. that I'd normally put there, well - probably put there.
Anyhow, I don't have Hero Stats or whatever to check so I can't really check to see if the Recovery Debuff is effecting me - instead of my targets. (From what I've gathered that would give you the actually numbers- but again I don't have/use it so IDK.
As for the "To Hit Buff/To Hit Debuff" issue... I did notice that after slotting them but figured it was a typo on the description.
That or I was thinking it might be a To Hit Buff for me - that's kinda how it looks, but after reading through this whole thread I'm concerned it might be Buffing the mobs?!
I'm not sure about any of this now, some clarification from a Dev would be nice.
I could at least swap to another alt until after the "new" IO's are all fixed up.
I thought it was just the End Mods - being wonky, and a couple of the other new, kinda of odd effects that were foobard, but now I'm not so sure?
I can still play the Defender, but I'm popping blues like crazy now. Although - I was using quite a few before - so I don't think I'm gonna be able to figure it all out now. -
Ok first thing - Someone needs to give photobucket a call or email - "bandwidth exceeded" pic is all i'm seeing from the link on the launcher.
Second thing - I'm thinking it would be better to have the Default set to Off & let people "opt in" rather than having to opt-out.
I'm gonna presume that this is per character as well, that could potentially be a Really Big Hassle for Altaholics that don't want all their info displayed.
Having a way to turn these Options ON or OFF for an entire Account would be great - idk if that's doable or not?
Then player could go in and turn these Options Off or On for characters that are your "exceptions to the rule/default" would be MUCH more player friendly, IMO. -
I'd really like to see them at least give those of us who bought both games, (Like myself, I bought both of the DVD Collectors Editions) all the Goodies from the Good Vs. Evil Box =
* Jump Jet Prestige Power
* Pocket D VIP Card Teleport Power
* Exclusive Hero and Villain Costumes
Sure, I may find a cheap copy at Walmart eventually, with the 1 month of game time inside it it wouldn't be too bad I guess.
But I'd like to get the stuff from the "Good Versus Evil Edition In-Game Item Pack" without coughing up another $10 for it.
The retail Good vs Evil box comes with "First month of play included" but IDK for certain if that works for those of us who already have CoH & CoV?
Either way, it would be mighty nice of them to kinda "throw me(us) a bone here"
Maybe even, "sharks with frickin lasers" for our bases -
Oh, but you forgot:
"Fixed Check Name tool to include apostrophes."
Yippee!
Seriously, some people must be way more psyched about the whole name change/check than I am.
(Heck, I'm not even all that certain what the Name Check Tool does, lol. But, Apostrophe's now those are important!)
I kinda wish they'd say a TINY bit more about what they did in the way of increasing game stability.
I mean, you'd think they'd have that nailed down buy now, as many times as it's nebulously listed in the patch notes over time. -
Can we get a couch that's not sea-green? It's the closest to "comfy " looking place for a character to rest.
Or maybe a Real bed? (Isn't there one of these in the City somewhere?)
The straw pallet, wicker cot & pillow, medical exam table, or restraint/torture looking thing all look rather uncomfortable.
How about a Recliner/Lazy-Boy type chair where you could actually put your feet up?
I'm just wondering but are there not any Kitchen Items besides sinks anywhere in the game - appliances like a refrigerator or a mini-fridge for sodas, microwaves, stoves, etc.?
What about chimney's or maybe a franklin-stove?
I just keep get this feeling when designing/decorating Bases of, Ok cool, now thats all finished, where the heck am I gonna kick back and take a break?
Ok, so here's a leather couch and a LCD or Plasma Screen neither look like they have cable TV, theres no "entertainment center" at all really & no remote control, and so on...
I just keep think this is spiffy, but where am I/we supposed to be living again?
Anyone else have this problem?
Edit: Ok so I posted before I read the whole thread, oops!
So, I'm not the only one that's missing things like a real bed, and stuff you'd maybe find in a dorm room, like a Loft - I don't think this exists but idk for sure I haven't been everywhere?
I kinda tried to make a loft kinda thing before but not being able to stack most things - kept me from doing it like I was trying to. The arcane stuff has a pseudo-loft type thing but you can't put a pallet or mattress on it.
And sticking it up above a cubicle or desk doesn't really work with the over sized boxes around items.
But this is a neat thread, good suggestions all around.
