Its a shame what happened. Gutted my broadband wasn't fixed in time. Quite itching to get a piece of Statesman TF action.


Was a bit apprehensive with the initial lineup you had looked a bit ropey having only 2 support based characters (Rad def and Empath def). There was a lot of damage in the team, but not enough heroes who could take on a large brunt of pain.

The guides state the TF is AV heavy, therefore I'd assume you'd need a team that was capable of taking them on. A team that you can split for

1.Tanking the big guy/large mobs (tanker/ def for heals/ def for debuffs/ controller for holds and backup support) and

2.Support damage (tanker/ scrapper / blaster/ def or controller for heals & support...mix it up a bit if you like ie: tank/bla/bla/ctr or scr/scr/bla/ctr or tank/scr/scr/def etc...)

If you do have an additional tanker or scrapper able to deal with large amounts of dmg (ie: invul scr), then they should be able to rotate with the main tanker for the bosses and such.


If you're unable to get a team together, try getting on Cynic's team ups.

As soon as my broadband is up, I'll gladly help with the TF with any of my toons.

Wow...after reading the STF "How to" post on the US servers, its sounds like a lot of fun.

And a strike at +4695 dmg(!) from LRecluse, I'm a little scared for this team.

Team damage looks good, however its hard to hit them when you're faceplanted on the floor... :P

May need at least one more more support character for a better chance. Although you could prove me wrong and rock this TF!

No offence to the Fire tanks, but I reckon the Invul scrapper (provided he has slotted most of his defences appropriately) would be better suited to directly tanking the AVs. Whilst the Fire tanks take the aggro of the other minions and reinforcemtns that are spawned.

Well looks like BT are to disappoint me once again. My phone line won't be sorted out in time for tomorrow I'm afraid as they' given me a new review date for the 15th May.

At least you'll still have a radiation defender in your ranks, plus you have the added bonus of re-instating an empath defender into the team.

BT say they'll have my broadband up and running by Fri. So provided my broadband is setup in time, I'd like to come along with my defender.

Some of you may know my BT line's gone titts up and I've been waiting for them to resolve it.

They're saying should be resolved in 7days, meaning will need to reconnx broadband which'll be another 7-10days on top of it! Grr!

So, basically I haven't been able to upload stuff for our website. Its more or less finished now so should be running soon.

As for the hero team setup, I'm still up for that once my connx is sorted again!

Would like some sort of resemblence to each other. Of course you can add a bit of your own personal touch. I'm thinking X-men's generic outfit is similar to each others with exceptions like Rogue's jacket or Beast wearing just a man-thong and belt. Likewise with Fantastic Four where they're all similar apart from thing being to large for one and also wearing just a man-thong and belt.

Aye, quite like costume 2. Its generic too, so you can still add personal touches for your hero, ie trenchcoat, jacket, hoods etc.

Still prefering the name Rogue Sentinel to Baraphobia. Makes him sound as if he's in a Barbershop quartet. :P

I'm quite happy for dark characters to be in the team (no. of dark/gothic chars in hero teams...Batman - Justice League; Scarlet Witch (well in the new AS) - Xmen; Raven - Teen Titans), but for them all to have dark sounding names and looking dark, starts bringin the team in the realm of...well...darkness. :P

Think it should be ok for you to still make your Rad defender Matron. There's some other people interested in the idea of this hero team and I'm sure I can coax them into making a blaster/tank, sure we still have a few weeks before i9 comes out to include more friends into the setup. Plus it means you can start from level one with the rest of us.

Hehe...true, true.

Still a good tank can't go amiss especially when it comes to AV missions. I've completed numerous TFs without the need for a tank, but find things goes more smoothly with one in the team to help with unwanted aggro.

Plus, going back to the whole reason why I wanted to create this team... with every good hero team, they always have a tank (The Thing, Fantastic Four; Colossus, Rogue - X-men; Superman, Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman - Justice League; Superboy, Wonder Girl - Teen Titans; Nick Cage, Hulk, Thor - Avengers; Sasquatch - Alpha Flight)

No doubt it does look like a powerful team already, but the initial plan to why I wanted to creating this team was so it would model one of the teams above. Just adds a bit of flavour to the team and a slight touch of roleplay, instead of just going into it like just another everyday character you'd make for the game "just to level".

The eye-piece was a an add on for my guy.

The initial costume is to be like Eternal Dark's. Was thinking add your personal touch like a hood or sunglasses etc...
