To be fair, that has more to do with Warden not being really conducive to a friendly community than any impending change to the game.

    Son, I am disappoint.
There's nobody of a significantly-larger-than-human scale; the biggest specimens here are things like Gort and Big Guy. "Outside the scope of this document," as it were. It's like people were grumbling about the lack of the Iron Giant. If he was shown as anything other than a single foot in the background, the "camera" would have to be so far back you couldn't see the smaller robots at all...

Indeed we could. And, once again, human civilization would rest easier in its bed at night.

Seriously, though, I mean, crap is crap, regardless of whether it Saves the Day corporate-survival-wise.

Seriously, talk about scoring an own goal. I even agree that the trainer-tailor thing is a mistake, and that whole style of counterargument makes me almost want to reconsider just because it would annoy the person who made those posts more than it would annoy me.

I dunno, I mean, it's like a beloved relative who went totally off the rails and had to be sent to a sanatorium at this point. If it'd just died we'd at least have our untarnished fond memories. No one would ever have to wake up in the morning and think, Wait. Punched the space-time continuum? You tell me that wouldn't be a better world on some level.

What on Earth makes you think the software developers even know, much less control, the people in charge of server maintenance? That's like expecting the engineers at General Motors to have authority over the Secretary of Transportation.

Correction: Typo. This works best with the single-shoulder cape set to Tattered 3 with the colors matched, not 2. Tattered 2 is too tattered.

... have you not noticed the DP powers where you only fire one of your guns? There are several.

Also, obviously it wouldn't be an arrow. It'd be a bullet - i.e., effectively invisible - that spawns a net on impact. Which is no further out there than super-strength characters coming up with a piece of pavement inside an alien spaceship. The projectile doesn't require an animation at all, besides perhaps the usual DP "vapor trail"; what's important is the application of the net effect (as it were) at the end. Which already has an animation.

It's so weird to encounter people unwilling to use their imaginations a little in a superhero game. Really quite baffling.

Since then I often have to stop myself from applying this trick to characters it doesn't suit, just because I like it so much.

Also: catastrophic weakness for the Enforcer gloves and Chest Detail:Stealth.

I'm not sure what that term means, but if it's "MMO with twitch combat," I'll pass. There are already plenty of multiplayer online platforms out there for that (Borderlands et al.); it doesn't need to completely displace games supporting playstyles in which character attributes matter more than player skill.

At least I hope the hell it doesn't, because I've got zero interest in that kind of gaming experience. If I'm going to suck at a twitch game, I'm going to do it in private.

I would hope it'd be a checkbox - "allow asymmetry" or some such - that would permit the menus to expand. Because, honestly, I'm much more likely to be making a symmetrical costume, and I would hate to have to grovel through dozens of pulldowns selecting left eye, right eye, left shoulder, right shoulder, left upper arm, right upper arm, etc. etc. all the way down. But if smartly designed so it doesn't screw the interface up too much, it could be a really spiffy thing to have.

Oh, for pity's sake. If you're going to stand there preaching a minimum standard of effort from the development team, at least have the courtesy to use complete words. It's spelled "you", and if you can be bothered to type words like "meaningless" and "complaining" in full, you can manage that too. It's a lot easier than developing new content or fixing a pathing flaw in a task force map.

Who said I was against it? I haven't said Word 1 opining that they shouldn't do it; I'm just speculating, based on my experience in a similar industry, as to one reason why they aren't doing it. As you keep pointing out, you're paying the same as everyone else; but chances are it would cost the company more to run the maintenance windows when it would be most convenient for you than it does now, because that would tend to be at fairly odd hours by North American standards, and operations people don't work odd hours for their base pay rate.

    TLDR: Grits are extra.
  23. Having worked in network operations, I'd just like to point out that it costs beaucoup bucks to get the operations A-team in to do maint windows in the middle of the night, particularly on as regular a basis as we've got them around here. Your #1 systems guys are not going to come in at 2 AM their local time just out of a sense of peaceful goodwill toward our cousins down under.

  25. I like it. Caroline, make a note. If they can do this without making the costume design interface even clunkier than it already is, let's go for it.

    Cave Johnson, we're done here.
