Been playing off and on for 3 years now and I've never had this much trouble getting the game running.
Very simply it's the same .prv problem others were having, but I must have done something stupid to get it more broken.
The updater starts up fine, but I have a feeling it's the US one. Firstly it looks much slicker, and once the game loads up and wants me to log in my user name/password isn't recognised. Also my resolution settings have reset.
Unfortunately I have no idea how to get my EU (if that IS the problem) updater back, as this evil twin Updater has replaced it.
And it constantly remakes the .prv version, which refuses to do anything but delete only to grow back with more hair.
The last time I saw the Updater i was used to it was having the .prv trouble for the 3rd time in two days. The first I followed another user's (name escapes me now) guide to fix it, which worked. Second it came back with a vengeance and I couldnt find any trace of a .prv file anywhere on my entire PC, *about two hours later it worked fine*. Third I just took the entire game off my PC and now there's this madness.
If anyone has any idea what the hell I've managed to do please give me some "My 1st bug fix" style instructions. OS is Windows 7 Home Premium, should help.
