Two years ago I could sympathize with you, but not now. Sorry.
CoV is pathetically cheap. And, it comes with a free month, so any CoV you can buy for less than $15 pays for itself. Get it and upgrade your account. When CoV came out, it was well-documented that you would need to buy it if you wanted bases. -

non-raid telepad costs;
quantity of 6, power ( refined component ) to make at basic table
then costs 15,000 prestige to place.
it take take upto 2 beacons.
beacons are 10,000 prestige each, and are purchased not crafted.
Beacons open up by getting all explorations badges in a zone while in sg mode.
[/ QUOTE ]
Wrong. Telepads are crafted with 6 Tech Power salvage, then placed from Personal items of the crafter. Base editor can then move it to where he/she wants it.
EDIT: Archane telepads use different salvage, but same concept.

Other than the omission of the word "tech", the person you quoted was correct. Thanks for your "contribution". -

Really like the skylight in the restaurant!

Same..how is that done?

You use the fluorescent lights in the light tab. I use (I think) the recessed ones. -

I like the hanger with the blast wall. I might have to use that idea. Overall base looks amazing! Well done.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's even an old pic - the new blast wall is a 2x2 stacked set of files to prevent anything from getting through.
Thanks for the compliments! -
1.) Just the one that completed the mission.
2.) Just the third mission. Once DJ Zero is unlocked, he is unlocked. -
Do you seriously not see how a farmer could start a TF set at a minimum of 8 members, and then run the mission ad nauseum as a farm? The "fillers" don't even need to be there. All the farmer needs is one other (an alt account) to stay in the TF.
How does that not benefit farmers? -
The whole idea was stupid to begin with. IoPs are fine, but they need an alternative means of getting them, and base raids need to be removed. Instant raids are fine, since they have no consequences in the long term.
The IoP buffs, even in Issue 6, were lame for the most part. IO set bonuses trump them now. I'm going to risk my base and millions of prestige over a 3 % damage bonus? No thanks. -
LiquidX-
That was classic! Very clever indeed. -

Oh dear.
Do we have another undocumented change?
Or is this poster just confused?

That's a bug that crops up from time to time with farm missions. -

However, our highest priority is to ensure that the quality of all new content being brought to the game meets and exceeds your expectations.
[/ QUOTE ]
If I knew I was going to be addressing forum readers, I don't think I would make that one of my priorities. If Issue 12 introduced level 60 PvP raid content on the moon soloable by villains with epic archetypes that unlocked customizable power effects while dropping respecifications inventions that allowed you to change your power sets while simultaneously reversed the nipple nerf, forum readers would wonder why there was no big red ball in the first mission, why the evil moon aliens have cooler assault rifles than the players, and why there's no body scaler that allows you to select the number of nipples your body has, all while PLing themselves to 60 and running all the content in one weekend, and then wondering what's holding up Issue 13.

We know that finding out about this change after the patch is already live is not the ideal way to go about it. It was never our intent to hide or stealth this change out, it was simply lost in the volume of other changes spanning many months.
[/ QUOTE ]
Odd how it's always the nerfs that "accidentally" get left out of the patch notes but the things that the devs see as things the players will like always make it in every time.
[/ QUOTE ]
Agreed. I don't buy the "we forgot" nonsense for a second. -
Limited time as in the entire V-day event? It's a warehouse mission that takes 15 minutes or less solo. Anyone that has a current account can do it - why would badge collectors get mad?
-

a qeustion: is there a badge fer the valentine's mish? i want to know if im wasting time befire i do it.

It's a waste of time. -
I really have to wonder what the devs have been smoking the last week or so. It's just one bungling after another.

This was to address CAP RUNS.
[/ QUOTE ]
You believe they changed every single TF and SF in the game just to address Cap runs?
[/ QUOTE ]
Lulz forum stalkers.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's not like they nerfed all controllers to address issues with Fire/Kin controllers.
Oh wait, they did that. -
Hmm, this won't help much with the Shadow Shard TFs, since on some of those you could knock out some of the missions without the team there. It's tough to get 8 people on at one time for the duration of a few of those.
Positron's TF shouldn't be affected much. Neither should the others in the original 6 TFs.
Hmm, I guess we'll have to wait and see how this shakes out. -
So I did the heroside "gift" mission in Atlas Park.
Warehouse map with Arachnos baddies. Seven glowies to click. Complete the mission and talk to the contact. Mission is complete and doable once only, annnnddddd....... that's it. No badge.
I'm confused. Another warehouse/glowie mission and that is it. They can come up with 10 bucks of costumes and emotes, but can't take an hour to design a badge? Whatever. -

No badge with it?

/agreed
The content is nice and all, but there isn't very much of it for my $10.81 (after tax). They could have at least thrown in a badge appropriate to the theme, probably an accolade.
Additionally, this would have been an excellent place to introduce a nicely rendered 3d flower (or two) to place in the jacket lapel as an "over" option for chest details.
::Lookin' at you Jay::
[/ QUOTE ]
No thanks on the badge. I have no desire whatsoever to buy this pack, and throwing a badge in would possibly do that.
I still think that the Collector's edition DVD stuff needs to be made available for purchase (power slide, VIP badge, etc.). I would buy that. -

A thought occurs: (And I don't feel like reading all 27 pages to this point so my apologies if this has been brought up already...) the 100 person limit... is that per-server or gamewide? The reason I ask is... could this possibly be a veiled (No pun intended) attempt at testing out a cross-server functionality on the sexy new server hardware? Or, will they be going to each server in order and acting out the ceremony or what?
I don't know but it'd be pretty neat if this were a prelude to a "serverless" experience that was alluded to a while back.
PS I'm not really interested in the new emotes / costumes so I won't be spending my cash on it but more power to ya'll that are.

I think it would have been more interesting as a new mission or something.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, according to the announcement, there is something like that:
[ QUOTE ]
Outside of the Pocket D, and in conjunction with the live Wedding event, players will find new Hero and Villain contacts in Atlas Park and Mercy Island. Sela Vermont, wedding coordinator of Manticore and Sister Psyche, sends Heroes on a special wedding gift reconnaissance mission while Zev Scalamore, under direction of Arachnos, enlists Villains to do his dirty work.
[/ QUOTE ]
So it's not just the event on test; there is some other new stuff.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, I know. I'm talking about the wedding event. A mission with the wedding would have been better.
I'm sure the devs are all nice folks, but I am one of the few that are not impressed by the fact that they are the devs. Yeah, they made the game. Other people clean teeth for a living. Others dig ditches. It's a job, and nothing more.
Rather than have an event where the devs show up on the test server, I would have preferred a new mission that every single player could have done.
I'm looking forward to whatever the reconnaissance mission is.
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't think I'm understanding. The way I read the announcement, those missions (or arcs, or whatever) are separate from the wedding, and available to everyone for the two weeks the event is live. (But thematically, linked to the event. So wouldn't that be "a mission with the wedding?")
I'm fairly sure if you skip the part on the test server entirely, you'll still be able to do the related missions on your home server.
Maybe I'm just not getting what you mean...
[/ QUOTE ]
They are having this wedding event on the test server. That is the wedding of two signature characters in the game. Rather than have those characters manned by real people (devs) and having a limited number of players have access to it, I would have made the whole thing a mission or mini-arc that anyone could do.
Yes, the recon mission is "connected" to the wedding, but I doubt it is the wedding. It's probably some sort of salvage mission where you collect presents or something for some in-game badges or other loot. I think a mision where you stopped some villain group from disrupting the wedding, or resucuing Manticore and Sister Psyche from kidnappers, or somesuch would have been more interesting.
That was my point. We'll have to see what it is we get. -

This is a terrible idea, and the fans need to send a clear message that they aren't going for it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, considering how many posts I've seen from people who did buy the wedding pack (myself included), it seems that some fans are going for it. Personally, I think it cost a bit more than it probably should, but not so much that I wouldn't purchase it this time.
[/ QUOTE ]
I am completely indifferent to this Wedding Pack.
I don't want it, and I don't care that others are willing to pay for it. If this is indicative of what future "packs" will constitute, I will apparently be saving some money.
I am, however, interested in seeing how the event itself is changing from last year. As for the wedding event on test server, if I don't make it I doubt I will be losing sleep over it. I think it would have been more interesting as a new mission or something. -
I haven't done one of these in awhile.
This is most of the base for my SG "The Infinity Legion" on heroside, Freedom server.
