Quote:That would be helpful! I'm going to try and do the same because I resent buying them from the market.Well, I could try to make it to Wednesday night's Hami Raid and collect a few EoEs.
*
Quote:ps i think you and i both died at same time on the first run. speed boost caused me to overshoot target. darn arthritis makes it so hard to control toons at high speed.
I will see you there, Morrgan.*
I admit I didn't realize you'd gone down too. Mainly because I was screaming obscenities and banging my head on the desk. Basically I got terrorized, lost endurance, toggles went down and at that point my soft capped s/l res/def counts for jack.* -
10 am Friday rosta
1) Capa - blaster
2) Blood - MM
3) Blac - 3 scrappers, 2 tankers, 1 emp defender, 1 kin troller, 1 fire blaster, 1 widow (both builds), 1 dark corruptor, 1 brute, and 1 stalker
4) Dash - Scrapper
5) Celtic - fire/kin troller, bots/dark MM, stone tank, emp def, ill/rad troller, scrapper
6) Morrgan - la feye, my 50 ill/emp/fire mastery troller
7) Armeros - dark x 3 defender for another run or my sonic/emp
* 8) Kay on anythingnot a troller
I'd really like 2 tanks, an emp, a kin for FS, debuffage and holds. Tanks with at least two EoEs would be good.* -
Nice guide! I would like to see something similar for redside though.
-
I would like to bring my blue badger which is blaster Zappy (if I don't get it in the morning) but I understand that you won't want many blasters.
As I have the badge on my main red badger, I'd happily step aside for someone who doesn't have the badge if I can't bring anything to the team.
I can also bring these guys with badge already:
Capa Devans- db/wp stalker (I play like a scrapper not hit/run)
Betty - mind/ff troller (Was using some 35 IOs on her Master run lol has power boosted shields)
Flaming - fire/kin corrupter (1123 HP. Gulp. FS rules)
Ziggy - ss/inv tank (very solid has tanked a few of these runs although I like two tanks for Hami)
Guys without badge:
Temp Power - rad/rad corr built to debuff. Not a secondary healer (is 49 but not by Friday)
Teagie - ill/sonic troller (Very safe little girl)
Torn - fire/spine scrapper (Again I know you won't want many of these)
Capa Arizona - thug/dark MM (Luckily the arsonist dying doesn't count)
Brachy - crab veat with pets (usual buffs Veats have) -
Well after this mornings failed attempt a few of us thought we might give it another go.
I was tired and debating it but in the end I thought stuff it. Anyway, first run came to an abrupt end at riders 3 when I went down. My own fault for not waiting for sb and ID. That terrorize, kills my endurance, toggles drop, Capa drops.
Had a couple of members had to go at that point so, a bit of /telling latter we wound up with:
Me - Ziggy - ss/inv tank
Anne - fire/kin troller
Mrs Henge - sonic/devices blaster built for debuff
Addo - claws/wp scrapper
Morgan - ss/inv tank
Capn - Crab veat with pets
Kay - earth troller
Sithra - dark/emp defender
I did make a comment that the worse the organzation the more successful the task force and on that basis we should sleep through this.
Well mission one and two went much better. The team gel'd very quickly indeed. And I'm pretty sure we were antsy because the reform was annoying. Plus we had to re-reform because I forgot someone offered to fill and I started the TF with him and not Kay. *banghead*
I'm going to have to look and see why I'm taking damage from that rider. It annoys me no end. Speaking of which, I did start to learn controling a tank while SB'd. Didn't improve my sense of direction but that's another issue.
Morgan & Sithra shared pulling duties which worked out well. Damage taking ability v range.
Mission three made me realize how important a TPer was. With Ninja Run being used so often as a travel power (I do it myself) it's a pain when it lost on a Master run. Have the danger from the pylons and falling off the ledges in mission three.
Hami was the same - rikti/pylons. Mito, hide, mito. Then hami. Both morgan and I chomped on EoEs but Hami hit me for half my life. I actually had to back off. Whether it was the alpha I do not know. I thought we went in together. But the team had the best of the gello and we knew the home straight was in sight.
Walk through mission five the rikit, av, rikti, av. Huge scare for me when Sithra pulled Dro and got whacked for the trouble. Really scary seeing that red bar bur - still up so we were good.
I pulled the Honoree because while I knew I wouldn't do the best pull (using provoke) Ziggy takes damage ok. He was a bit painful going down to about 15% easily then holding there. We kept pounding on him and eventually he started to lose health again and down he went.
Then I had a decision to take. On this mornings run me and the other tank took two pylons each. I'm a control freak and if this was going to fail I wanted it on my head. So while Morgan is a great tank and I thank him for everything he did on that TF, I didn't want to risk him dying on that part. If the Master got messed up, I'd rather it was me and only my fault.
I got the snot buffed out of me, and I chomped the lucks and headed for the generators. I flew clockwise from one to the other just landing so I could footstop and kill it. Taking off as soon as it was down. By the time the second generator was down my heart was thumping like a mad person. I must have chomped eight lucks before hand.I did use an endurance insp when rage crasehed at generator three but never needed a health. Got three down flew to four willing myself to chill. Generator four down. Exit. Woot!
I think the others got ambushed somewhere. There was fighting. Addo DC'd on the way out but he said he got the badge ok so that was good.
I almost didn't restart - I knew it would be late for me. But I'm glad I did. Four MoLGs in a week.
Many many thanks to the whole team; all great people who knew their chars abilities. Great shout out for those who hadn't done this TF before. Nice start!
So I'm thinking of Friday at 10am Eastern.
I still would like it on my blue badger but she needs clearing off first. We will need two decent tanks if i'm bringing her.As well as the usual debuffage, buffage.

I will be looking to do the same sort of thing with Reichsman, LR, Statesman and Khan in the future. But apart from Statesman I don't know them THAT well. And I wanna red Hami .... -
Next Master of Lady Grey will be Monday 10am Eastern. Please let me know if you want in.
I like to start at 10am prompt. (I'm usually at LG about 30mins before). We rescheduled this mornings to 11am; if I'd known that was a problem for you Dash, we wouldn't have moved it back or asked if you wanted to join another day.
But Mondays should start at 10am. Prompt.

3) anne marie regen stalker, mm, plant storm troller
4) Dash Chris

If we have problems getting eight for this tomorrow, I'm tempted to run a MoITF with six.
Went with this team:
Capa - ziggy
Blood Beret - mm
Blacjack - fire tank
Ameros - 3d def
anne marie regen fire kin troll
Dash Chris - ma sr scrapper
Conundrum - emp rad def
Sinnersaint - blaster
Lag got one. *kicks lag* -
Well. We tried again this morning.
And we ROCKED it. Not fast but safe. Only real scary moment was me deciding to Inferno something in mission 2. Not really bad but enough for me to consider kicking myself off the team.
The mitos and Hami always gets me edgy. I get very nervous because it's hard to keep a team in the same location at that point. Backing off and regrouping often seems to be backing off and scattering to the four winds. I have to say it makes a HUGE difference, killing a mito at a time, backing off, breaking line of sight and repeating. Really increases the safety.
GG played with Hami and we stabbed Hami in the back. Hami popped and we left.
Dash had to go to work after Hami which was a shame but the last mission went very smoothly.
Usual; pull stuff, get av, get more stuff, get av.
Nicked someone elses idea for the past few runs. Squishes hid near the start of the mission and Panz and GG took out the towers.
Mission completed, we did it and shiney new badge. My third Master badge this week, and on a corruptor with 1123 HP.
Many thanks to the awesome team:

One of the urls is missing the = and so isn't displaying properly (2b) I think.
Thanks for fixing the links.
Really nice guide and I'll be paying close attention to it to see what I can snag. I have two kitted out bases but also three fledgling ones that are on a budget. (Two of those half a shoestring budget too.
Thanks for the effort.* -
I can't get the pics to open.Is it just me?
EDIT:
Now the first picture is working but not the rest. If I manually edit the url from base1.jpg to base2a.jpg etc then they will load but not from the links above. -
I'm in the same boat as SinergyX (UK player on US servers). I find that after clicking around enough I DO get the US versions or failing that I use Hotspot which fools the server into thinking I'm in the US. Between those two methods, I've got all the expansion packs on two accounts and GR on one account (holding off on other account).
I agree that it's REALLY annoying though. I'd like to be able to just choose "US version" and over ride the default.
I'd like to buy the Complete GR with discs but I can't do that here unless I get a copy shipped over. I know we're a small player base but I would be nice to be able to pop into GAME and pick up discs/manual etc just to avoid the huge download if I fry a hard drive.
Also a shout out for the guys who can't get any expansions like this. Really got to feel for him.
Come on, guys, I'm trying to give you money here! -
Quote:I'd love to see this.If you guys are willing to add to the booster packs, will you consider giving the male-only stuff from the Magic pack, such as the skull mask and the baron set to female characters?
I adore the texture on the inside of the Occult cape but .. I can't use it on my female chars. Never understood why but if there's the ability to change that, it would be fantastic. -
I just want to be able to keep the power tray order the same after a respec (where possible). Wouldn't it be nice to just have to move the few extra powers you respec'd into rather than every power and every temp?*

RESULT!!!!!!!!!!
We did it: Master of Lady Grey TF.
The awesome team was:
Blood Beret - Dos Gelidus - Ice/cold Corr
* Celtic Coders - MM
Anne Marie - Blazing Bethia - Blaster
Blackjac - Badjac - Dark/WP Brute
Ulli - Ullikummis - Stone Tank
* Panzerkunst - Panzerkunst - SS/INV tank
Kay Nova - Magical Nova - Grav/Rad Controller
Capa Devans - Capa Devans - DB/WP Stalker
Quite suprised I had enough interest for this on a weekday morning but as it turned out, there was a LOT of interest.
Once my panic had subsided - I thought I'd invited nine people to the team and envisioned missing out on the Master run I'd organized *bang head* - the run itself was incredibly smooth.
At no point did anyone's life hit the yellow let alone the danger zone. Kudos to the shields, tanking and buffing going on there. In fact this team make up was awesome: it had buffs, debuffs, shields, tankage, DPS, range, holds; you name it we had it. Together we just blew the mobs away.
The worst part of the early missions was listening to Infernia and Glacia witter on. Please, Devs, let us duct tape them. I believe their chunteringis the reason they get killed by the players so often. We just can't take it any more.
Hami was fine; cleared the rikti then the pylons. Did each mito, regrouped and hit the next one with all of us targetting through Ulli. Hami himself was easy; Panz and Ulli taunted him and the rest of us stabbed him in the back.
Last mission; cleared just inside the tunnel and while I was logging back in from a disconnect, Panz pulled the Rikti from by the generators to the tunnel and the team wiped them out.
Hoz baby had somewhere to go obviously because he didn't hang around.
At that point we had an "aggh" moment when Celtic DC'd. General consensus was no one was in a rush so we hung out. Luckily he was back in 5 mins because I REALLY didnt' want to go on without him. We'd come so far.
Panz pulled Honoree and we beat on him. I've never seen him go down so fast. It was beautiful. It really was.
Then the debate on the generators. I wanted to keep the team together but there was another idea: Panz to hit the generators and the rest of us hit the ambushes. Team was pretty easy either way so we went with Panz's idea.
So we stood by the corner of the tunnel and I watched Panz's icon circle the room with the generator count going down. Mission complete came up, I typed "get out" - while most of the team had exited- and I followed them.
I can't type the exact responses on the forum (or at least my own *cough*) but "Oh yes" was pretty much up there.
I want to thank everyone who showed an interest; apologize to those on standby who were ready to zing in when the last few members of the scheduled team showed up. Kudos to Condumdrum and teamguy who couldn't make it but went out of their way to let me know so I could fill their spots. Next time guys.
What was great about this team was the make-up. We had great players who knew their chars. And we had players who all had the ability to contribute tactics. I hate organizing stuff/having the star because I feel I either have to do a Dick and Jane "we must do xxxx" or people run off and do dumb stuff. Wasn't the case here. You guys were so good, it was a pleasure to team with you; you came up with the tactics, I just hung around and stabbed a few things.*
Although ... I am quite puzzled how Kay managed to get Bad Team Bingo while in the team.
Thank you all.

See you and the Grav/Rad I hope! -
Ok it looks like we might get a run tomorrow (a little under 18 hours from this post). I intend to be hanging by LG 15 mins before so we can kick off at 10am.
How about we try and firm up chars a little?
I'm planning on using my main (stalker. I am therefore I stab)
Blood - Brute
Conundrum - MM
Celtic - controller
Kay will you be around tomorrow? Blacjack what were you planning on bringing?
I'll shove a shout in channels when I log on later.
Oh and if we can't get eight before 10.15am how does everyone feel about trying a Mo Cuda or Mo ITF instead? (Capa has the badge for Mo ITF so I could bring other chars.) -
1) It depends on how you define PuG. I don't count the teams I join advertised in channels as PuGs even though I may not know all (or even most) of the other players.
I very rarely do a pure PuG now where I know no one on the team, usually I'll join something from the channels. So probably a real PuG once a week or even less.
Admittedly before I used the channels so much, and knew people on the servers I play, I PuG'd almost exclusively. I have had some really great times on them. Certainly more good than bad or I probably wouldn't have continued to sub when my SG mates unsub'd.
2) I will team with people I know almost every day and the team will be 'made up' with people who are PuG'd by the leader.
3) Most PuG members are actually pretty good.
PuG members can sometimes be too helpful - do too much without being asked. (Like unexpectedly pulling.)
I can be very hard on people, very critical. (Seriously I look back some days and think "Capa you moron".) Most of the teams take a couple of mobs to get it together then either gel or turn into a train wreck. The longer I've played, the more I've been able to identify train-wreck likelihood in advance and ... go to polish my Emu.
I don't even look at vet badges anymore. 72 month means nothing if they're new to the AT, are half-cut, or are the nine year old on dad's account. The no-vet badge means nothing if it's a second account of a long-term vet or someone who has started playing on the US servers after having an EU account for years..
The thing with a PuG is people don't know each other; they don't how how the other guys play. My friend never bothered if my stalker was in front of his brute because he knew that I would time assassin strike to hit early before the mob moved but after he had aggro. A PuG could think I'm a solo artist wandering across the map.
4) Rarely do I tell anyone what they should be doing. I like things to be right (I hate dying) but I always feel that I'm being bossy if I give instructions. So I don't. Which is dumb because I get annoyed when they don't do stuff. I feel it's the role of the star really.
If I'm tanking, I will ask people to follow the tank (one guy had four rules of tanking in his bio which I thought was awesome). If they don't I feel guilty if they die even if it isn't my fault.
5) I don't usually add PuG members to my global. Because I use the channels for teaming, it isn't such a big deal. (And I'm in hide a lot.) I DO use usernotes and stars a lot.
Having said that, one guy I now team with regularly, I met when we both went to help out another guy we didn't know with a mission. So you can develop good teaming possibilities from PuGs.
6) Very rarely have I seen an entire team of complete morons. Usually the team isn't gelling or the make up is wrong.
When it does happen, I find it is usually on an ITF (I actually stopped joining them for a month because I had a run of six utterly :censored: experiences).
I've been on teams of seven solo artists (briefly) which is incredibly frustrating. Or a stormy who jumps into a pack of mobs before an AoE gets to land.
Often the blame is squarely on the team leader than individual members though. Two examples:
- An ITF turning into a surprise master run on +2 "oh and can a 50 take the star, I'm 44". *head desk* I stupidly stayed until mission two.*
- A Shard TF put together by a guy on a tank who then offloaded the star to someone else and disappeared on mission 2 along with member 8. Of the six remaining, I was the only one with any healing ability (Emp) and we had two very brave scappers tag-teaming the alpha strikes with me trying to keep everyone alive. Yes we finished it successfully.
I really do apologize about the wall of text.
