No, losing one tier 1 henchman is not losing 1/3 of my damage output, but one henchman is going to do nothing other than die instantly. I send them all in, and my PB's stop shooting, to repair the other damaged bots, and I'm likely to lose one or more drones to a team sized spawn, especially of Longbow. Once the drones drop, all the aggro goes onto the remaining bots, and unless the rest of the team is real quick at grabbing aggro, you can be looking at a big hole where several of your henchmen used to be.
But the general gist stands, why should I be expected to sacrifice my damage output? I don't ask other AT's to stop using their primary powersets. -
I very rarely, if ever used my bots as cannon fodder. That's what the brute was there for.
I don't think the Corruptors/Brutes/Stalkers would like it if I turned round and said "OK, you're not allowed to use 1/3rd of your attacks for this next fight" because that's what anybody who asked me to tank with my henchmen would be asking me to do, sacrifice a major chunk of my Damage Output. -

Mentioned in my Mastermind Guide, thanks

I actually meant in this particular thread... -
Something I've not seen mentioned yet is the relation between the number of a type of pet you summon and their relative level.
Take Robotics and the Battle Drones.
You start off able to summon one drone at your level.
Then, when you get your second drone, they're both at -1 to your level.
And when you get your third, all 3 are at -2 to your level, but showing up as blue, because they're -2 lieutenants.
With Protector bots, it follows the same progression :
When you can ony summon one, you get it at your level, when you can summon 2, they're both at your level -1.
Clear as mud? -
Congrats Max, took you long enough
And I'd have beaten you to 50 on Heat too, if my back hadn't exploded
Ah well, not sure if/when Heat'll get there now that DDO's out. -
Warning: Citadel is DULL and Tedious...
Rather a dull AV fight at the end, too.
Doesn't take too long though. A couple of hours, maybe 3. -

I seriously doubt that, seeing as PFF is available in the FF secondary.
[/ QUOTE ]
Why should that matter?
Blasters can take PFF through Force Mastery, and it's available as a Controller secondary...
OK, I know what you mean, about it being available to a MM already, but since we don't know exactly how Patron pools are going to work, it's entirely feasible that they could end up being implemented in such a way as to allow 'cross fertilisation' of secondaries to a minor extent.
If the PPP's work by just giving a generic PP to all AT's for that patron, and one of them includes PFF, there's no reason why it shouldn't be available, or a valid choice.
Whether it will or not, that's another matter entirely. -

Poison? Doesn't go with the character idea, same with Dark Miasma. Force Field, doesn't go with the character idea either. Trick Arrow does, but why would he carry a bow and a gun around, why not just get the gun made to fire munitions with the effects. Traps, only four that fit are Web Grenade, Caltrops, Trip Mine and the final power, Demolitions or something.

Detonator. It's crud. Avoid it.
This has been an announcement from the Society againt naff level 38 powers...
-
Done it before. It doesn't take a huge amount of time IIRC.
3 maybe 4 hours if you're slow.
Less if you've got powersets which rip Freaks apart. -
Task Force Titan was one of two teams who went through the SF (like a dose of salts).
Titan was ye olde usual suspects team.
Seethe (MBar) arranged the other team, who beat us through ths SF by about 30-40 minutes, I don't know if they took a group photo.
We had no team wipes, although four Ruin Mages at once had us close...
Team Composition for Titan.
Bounty (Prize) SS/Inv Brute
Cinder L (Chaplain) Fire/Dark Corruptor
Lycricia (Velinia) Ice/Fire Corruptor
Doc Elemental (Doc Green) Ice/Fire Corruptor
Professor Migraine (Tundra) Mind/Psi Dominator
Countess Gamma (Captain Usa) Rad/Rad Corruptor
Gamorrah (Lifeline) Grav/Psi Dominator
Toybox (me) Robotics/Traps Mastermind -
And the <> are important, you need to include them. They're not just there to show you where to place the em dance bit
I know that some people have been caught out by that one. -
Force Bubble DOES cause knockdown, but not with a particularly high accuracy or high magnitude.
However it's just SOOOO amusing to fly into Grendels Gulch in the Hollows, find a patch of smoking ground and toggle it on and watch the Magmites/Pumicites go flying -
I'd like in with Heat Haze, assuming a level 49 controller would be acceptable?
-
Congrats.
When my back is sorted enough to allow more prolonged play, I'm gonna have to get Heat past that final grind. -
As I posted in the other thread, if I'm physically able to sit at the pc long enough, then I'd like to tag along. With Li, if possible.
-
If I'm able to sit upright for long enough, then I'll drag Toybox along.
If not, have fun -
Didn't make it today as I think I overdid it last night (really should have logged a good couple of missions before I did....) and decided to rest most of the day.
I'll see if I'm up to it next weekend closer to the date, but if I am, Li will be available. Or Heat if you need control rather than damage. But I'd like the badges on Li.
I'd also like my back to miraculously fix itself overnight, but that may be a little too much to ask... -

I'd agree with you though, I'd love to see quaderpeds intoduced into the engine as it'd give them loads of new options for MMs and enemies.

So they do have skeletal layouts for at least some sort of quadruped. Not a particularly naturalistic one, admittedly... -
Damnit! My back's exploded, So I won't be on tonight, or possibly for a few days.
Later all -

Uhmm...
Not sure it builds Fury up, I'm sure that the damage increases with Fury, tho
Cya all at 6 in the Outbreak, name's Azami.
[/ QUOTE ]
Damage auras as such don't build fury. What they DO is tick off everything around you, which makes them attack you , which THEN builds fury.
And, as far as I understand it, an AoE attack builds exactly the same amount of fury as a single target attack. But I could be mistaken on that point. -

Wing ??? Wyverns
[/ QUOTE ]
Wing Talons
[/ QUOTE ]
I meant Wing ??? because there are different flavours of Wing Wyvern Agents. Wing Sting Agents being one type, but there are others IIRC which are the various basic types with a jetpack strapped on their backs -
For a TP that can cover the entire length of Nerva on 1/3 of a bar of end or less, without Stamina, all you need is 3 End Reduction SO's. That's what I've got on Toybox, and I can arrive at any mission with enough end left over to summon at least Stompy and the Protector Bots.
I don't like range enh's in TP since it messes up the nice, simple "1 tp hop = 100 yards travelled" calculations, which I find make it easier to plan my hops. With range enh's, you'll find that the length of a hop will vary whenever you level, as your enh's drop in effectiveness.
YMMV though. -

lol Happy Code Day Canine.
Sorry i cant make the kronos bashing tonight (how many of those do u HAVE, didnt we do like 2 of them the other time)
[/ QUOTE ]
I had 4 of them queued, I've got one left.
The great "Li, Lifeline, Tundra and others birthday bash, smash, crunch and splinter" has been delayed until roughly 6pm Saturday evening. Hoping to get as many of the old mob and their original toons as possible together to beat up Li's final Kronos(Li's also got Giovanna Scaldi queued and will thus also have Vanessa DeVore available) Yes, I do indeed want to run out of content on Li as soon as possible to one year after I started him
So far, we've got:
Li
Lifeline
Tundra
MBar
Captain USA
with possibles for
Doc Green
Velinia (If the SF finishes in time)
Prize (if he reads the message I sent him)
Of course we could try for a thorough ganking fo the Kronos and pull the 'How many people can we get in an instance' trick if it still works... I've not tried it in a good while, so it may have been 'fixed' in a patch.
-
Also known as one year since I started playing retail CoH (well, it will be at about half past 7 tonight) as I was a little eager putting the code in
So, I think I'm gonna take Li (my first retail toon) out for some Kronos smashing tonight (He's got the last two World Wide Red missions, one office mission, and the timed instanced Kronos mission immediately after.)
Assuming the usual mob tag along, that will leave 3 or 4 spaces on the team (possibly fewer, depending on who I can con into tagging along...). Anyone want to tag along with a veteran scrapper trying to complete the World Wide Red arc?

A word of advice.
Don't forget your Wedding Bands for the AV.
First time we tried that one, we got wiped Soooo hard by it at the end. The fact that it was silly o'clock in the morning and nobody was thinking straight didn't help a great deal either though
