Thanks to Sinister Blazes for turning up to help us actually get the trial started, since all the rest of us were a little over the level range...

The team was:

Bight (Ice/Ice tank)
Corten )Katana/SR Scrapper)
Union Jackie (Rad/Rad Defender)
Echo Taker (Kinetics/Archery Defender)
Coile (Energy/EM Blaster)
Fridan (MA/SR Scrapper (I think))

And we ripped through it in the grand total of 1 Hour 54 minutes all told, according to my chat log.

It very nearly took us longer to get the damn thing started than it took us to complete, thanks to the bug... o_O

So thanks to those that assisted in various ways.

Now we just need to find some way of arranging one that Moon (Purple Turkey) can attend... Easier said than done, I think.

will create the global channel "Trap Happy Loons".

So just create whatever channel name you want

The channel creator gets admin status, after that, it's just a matter of deciding if you wan the channel to be private or not, and inviting whoever you want in if it's private, or just having them type /chanjoin "Trap Happy Loons" to join if it's public. Decide who else get admin status after that and you're pretty much done.

Give me a shout if/when you get to the high end, Echo.

Unfortunately, I've sort of been there, done that, as regards traps, and I'm not sufficiently inclined to repeat the process. But I'll tag along occasionally if you get to that point

Learning to tank's not a tricky thing to manage, not if Jester managed to get a hang of the basics It just requires a slightly different mindset to certain other AT's. Sadly the FFG seems to resist grant Invisiblity, never seems to work for me.

I'd say the gems of the set are Acid Mortar, Posion trap and FFG. Posion trap is rediculously good as a large AoE hold, makes me feel like a Dominator at times

Poison Gas Trap is also a pretty MASSIVE regen debuff (nofuture claims -1000% regen) and against humanoid AV's can get a pseudohold (vomiting) to apply through the purple triangles of doom.

The only problem with it being that you risk being smeared all over the floor and walls getting in close enough to place it by a stray AoE, if the AV in question has been immobilised or otherwise won't play nice and be kited over it.

That said though, it's not as essential for a Bots/traps MM, as the Assault bot comes with a couple of hefty -regen debuffs built in, with both the single and dual plasma blast slapping a pretty hefty magnitude and duration -regen debuff on the target. (-500% regen each and 30 second duration each, according to nofuture)

Other than that, if you don't already have FFG, then for the love of grud, take it now, slap 3 def buffs into it and keep it active at all times. Immob, Hold and disorient protection that costs no endurance other than a one off summoning cost and wtays on even if you *do* get mezzed? Yes please!

Server's still running, but is now effectively a private server. Most of the usual mob on it (who were the ones who paid the bills, as it happens) have gone to the land of the Happy Smiling Elves, and since they started doing 20 man raids, the sever got congested and spaces started running out

So the server password got changed, and as general policy, it's now reserved for the regulars/old guard and their closest partners in crime.

Sorry, but it's effectively dead for the general public.

Please note. I'm not the one responsible for the change of policy, I'm just one of the aforementioned 'old guard' who still happens to be playing CoH.

Except that Twiglet Grasp won't take Mr. Stompy (Assault Bot) from a tiny sliver of health to 100% in one shot.

Neither will Twiglet Grasp kick enough endurance into Stompy to unload a pack of incendiary swarm missiles at that Malta Sapper and his close personal friends that have taken an unhealthy interest in you and your minions.

OK, so it recharges at a glacial speed. <shrug> Save it until you really need that big pulse of health applied to one of your minions. Or use to to keep one of your Protector Bots kicking, since they seem to heal other bots in preference to healing each other.

It is NOT useless. And saying that someone has no need of it just because they're /dark is a tad on the broad sweeping statement side of things.
