Regular Sunday evening reminder.
Tomorrow Evening, 7pm. On the Ferry deck, in Striga.
Aerial's got the IP Safeguard queued (amazing how little xp you can get for radio missions if you debt cap yourself first, drop down to Heroic, pick 'recover x from villain group y' missions and stealth to the end/glowy, before using deceive to whittle the spawns you need to defeat down to one remaining heavily injured mob...), so that's an option, and then we get to choose between Tobias Hanson and Gordon Bower (Striga or Croatoa).
Later all. -
So much for Babbage. And the Clockwork King.
At least Babbage put up a fight, the CK fell over before he had a chance to do anything
8 man team. TF run on Rugged. 2 hours 32 minutes.
Not bad going at all.
Stealthed when we could on reasons of time. -
[ QUOTE ]
I will try and be there for Synapse this week but I'm not sure if I'll make it - if I'm not there by 7pm don't wait long for me please!
[/ QUOTE ]
I won't be waiting much past 19:10 - 19:15 regardless.
On a related but entirely separate note, I had Aerial on last night, and did a little prep work. Went round the zones I've got access to and picked up all the exploration and history badges available. Added to a quick Flashback to the fortune teller rescue mission, and it means that as soon as the Silver Bullet and Slayer badges arrive, I get the Atlas Medallion Accolade and another 5% max end.
Took a while, but it may be something for others to consider. -
Just a reminder.
Synapse, and all it's little clicking electricity blasting critters, Sunday evening, 7pm start. -
Stephanie 'awkward' Peebles done and dusted...
Shiny Wedding band removed from tray and put into storage...
I *think* pretty much all of my lot hit 26 and a bit.
But by grud getting everyone onto Heracles was a faff and a half. And he was so squishy it was *such* an anticlimax... Ho Hum.
So, next week.
Croatoa Part 1 or Striga Part 2?
We got the 20 Council hunt from Toby out of the way before we called it a night. -
General reminder.
This team/travelling circus does not have an official SG.
It has a Global channel.
If you want/need access to the channel, send a global tell to @Li Sensei, @Lifeline or @Blind Minotaur. -
[ QUOTE ]
Great offer Canine, best of luck to you.
Unfortunately I've got my hands full with workthings this weekend, otherwise I would so be there. It's been a while since I joined one of your Sunday TFs...
[/ QUOTE ]
Posi done and dusted. 2 hours 28 mins
Not bad going at all.
Stealthed where possible. Relatively few faceplants. Very few, in fact, given the torrent of zombie vomit at times.
Group Photo of Task Force WhatEverTheHellWeWereCalled (yes, there were only the three of us)
Next Sunday Evening, Cold Front revisits Synapse. Bring your wrenches and hammers. There's some Clockwork need 'adjusting'.
This is also your regular Sunday evening reminder. 7pm tomorrow (Monday) evening. Meet on the deck of the Ferry in Striga Isle. You need to be level 20 to get into Striga.
Stephanie Peebles should be getting finished off, which means Wedding Bands aplenty. -
[ QUOTE ]
If it's 3 or so hours then i'm definately up for itI had a veeeery late night last night, so I'm not up for a hugely late night, but that sounds good.. Count me in
[/ QUOTE ]
It *CAN* take forever.
However...
It'll be run on Heroic tonight. All the 'Defeat X and guards' missions will be stealthed, and generally, we'll be doing what we can to hurry things along.
Also, hence the 7pm start.
I'll not be waiting much past 7:10 at the latest for stragglers to kick it off, due to the length, so please, if you're interested, try to be on time. -
Special Bonus Feature.
Some of you may know that Lifeline and I tend to run a TF on a Sunday evening. We've not done any for the past few weeks for various reasons. (summer lull, people off on holiday, whatever)
so... this Sunday (ie tomorrow), I was thinking of running Positron.
With my Cold Front toon.
Yes, Posi's long, dull, tedious and a pain in the hobo.
However...
If you want the TF Commander Accolade, or a chance at a shiny shiny recipe, then it needs doing. And Abyssal wants TF commander...
So, anyone wants in, I'll put a shout in the Cold Front Global channel tomorrow evening.
We start some time between 7:00 and 7:30pm, UK time.
There'll be no XP, but plenty of inf/prestige. And in the interests of time and sanity, all stealthable missions will be stealthed. -
[ QUOTE ]
Hmm, if we miss long jack we can't get the brothers can we?
I thought he was a pre requisite...
[/ QUOTE ]
As other have said, no, Long Jack is not a pre-req for Striga Part 2.
I've done Long Jack occasionally, but effectively, Stephanie/Jack and Tobias/Lars are two separate unconnected sets of contacts.
To be brutally honest, Long Jack is the weakest story arc in Striga, IMO. All you miss out by not doing his stuff is Maestro.
Tobias has some interesting missions, Lars opens up Hess, and Stephanie has the Wedding band. -
[ QUOTE ]
A TF is definitely on the cards at some point, but right now I'm worried about outlevelling all the Striga (not to mention Croatoa) content. But we could always go back and do a TF we've already hit the level cap on, I guess.
[/ QUOTE ]
We've already missed Long Jack. At least my lot have. by the time we get Stephanie done, we'll be 26ish, I'd have thought.
I do NOT want to miss the Hansen Brothers, however. Tobias for the Warwolf Whistle, and Lars for access to Hess.
And as far as the TF's go, then the Ice tankers at least are going to want to do the TF Commander set. Which means the pain of Positron.... -

I have a DM/SR stalker and have got shadow maul i find it rather good myself but most will disagree with some technical garbage about root times and whatever else. I play in pvp and pve with it and not had such a huge problem, if anything i skipped shadow punch (the first attack i maybe wrong with the name). But hey people use sands of mu and miss alot more than you would with shadow maul.
My general opinion is don't skip it as it has its uses, specialy if you can get the cone to hit the max targets your after.
Mines six slotted by the way which shows i like it.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm not saying I hate it or anything. I use Sands of Mu semi-regularly, but I like the rapid fire punch, punch, Steal portion of soul, summon tentacles of doom, punch, punch mobile style of play.
If anything, Shadow Maul would help my endurance situation, as the 3 second activation would be three seconds where I'm not burning end on rapid charging, even faster animating attacks
:edit: I'm not trying to disparage anyone's choices. I'm just saying why I've not taken it yet. I'm trying, half heartedly, for a semi-buzzsaw build, and an attack as long as Shadow Maul doesn't fit that concept for me. SM's still a damn good attack, it's just not for my character concept and playstyle. -
Unfortunately, while I'm currently levelling my DM/SR stalker, I can't really comment, as I've skipped Shadow Maul.
I skipped it because :
a) anything/SR is a stupidly tight build to start with.
b) I'm going for a fast cycling attack chain.
c) did I mention the stupidly tight build? I'm 35 and don't even have a travel power prerequisite yet.
d) I like the animations on the other powers, Shadow Maul less so.
I've not decided yet if I'm going to bother with a patron, since skipping the whole 'lackey of one of Recluse's paranoid moron lieutentants' thing on my Corruptor did nothing bad to her survivability, and frankly, there's nothing interesting enough in the PPP's to really grab my attention.
If I skip the PPP's, then I'll end up taking it eventually, but my picks up to about 44 are spoken for already... <sigh>
:edit: BTW, I'm going for a PvE only stalker play experience. PvP holds no attractions for me at all. -
Abyssal never really gets a chance to herd properly, my mob usually turns into some type of ADHD/hyper impatient aggro monkeys (Guilty as charged yeronner!) so we tend to steamroller a tad.
It got seriously busy in the Arachnos Sub pen against Arbiter Sands last night though. I think we were fighting Sands and 3 other spawns at the same time...
Only two plants in that situation, IIRC, which was pretty good going. Although Frozen Phenom was on my O2 boost Watch list, along with Blap Zap, as they were both a little aggro hungry
Should get more interesting as the Cold Dom types pick up Sleet to combine more frequently with my Freezing Rain.
And then of course there's Spectral terror, Tornado, Eric the Phantasm and Thundercloud to come from yours truly
@Blind Minotaur:
[ QUOTE ]
I was promised chaos!! I want my chaos dammit.
Just kidding, I did actually find it very funny. Lass would do her best to herd up a mob, the slow powers would hit them a little too early and then they would run at about 1 mph towards Lass' herd spot. Lass would then run around like a loon trying to get them all together. Funny stuff!
[/ QUOTE ]
You wanted chaos? You were on the wrong team then :P
@Deadly Buzz. OK, was just checking to make sure you hadn't tried to come back on and found your team missing. Okton took your slot about 10 mins after I did the kick/reinvite thing. I don't like Kicking people from team usually. -

Also don't even know where the Siren's Call enterance is.
[/ QUOTE ]
North-west Steel Canyon, near bronze Dot/sewers entrance if memory serves.
[/ QUOTE ]
<cough> North East Steel Canyon. </cough> -
Convenient? Stephanie Peebles.
Less cramped and safe? On the Deck of the Ferry. -
Not bad.
Agent G done and dusted. All 3 AV's in the final mission tanked and ganked at the same time with, IIRC, no faceplants. Although it was close a couple of times.
An Illusion/Storm as the only healer on the team made life... Interesting.
However, barring a few brain failures on my part over the evening, and us losing a member early on to what looked like a DC or seriously long AFK (not sure which. Shiverwitch, if you read this thread, let me know what happened.), we ploughed on. 4 or 5 missions into Stephanie Peebles' "arc". Slowly clearing the random missions off, heading for the shiny shiny Wedding Band.
My mob (I think) are all at or around level 24. ish.
Personally, I'm 1/4 of a bar off 25, but never mind.
Another good evening.
And speaking of good evenings... Good Evening. Bed is calling -
[ QUOTE ]
Most of our team are around level 22 I think and tonight, like Orville, I'm hoping to be able to fly, right up to the sky!
Weather permitting of course...
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep, I *think* that everyone except the toon (whose name I forget, sorry) who was SK'd last week from my mob had hit 22.
We're at least one mission into Agent G, and some of us are a couple in.
As far as travel powers go, well... I'm not running a good record at the moment for getting travel powers in a timely manner. My last hero 50 didn't get a travel power until 49. My current Stalker still doesn't have a prerequisite at level 35, and my stone/fire scranker didn't get TP until 41...
Safeguard/Mayhem temp travel powers just make it too easy to put off getting a travel powerWell, that and I just like running around the city, and stretching the temp travel powers as far as they'll go is a minigame in and of itself in my somewhat warped little mind.
-
[ QUOTE ]
Sadly my last two level 50s dinged in their farm map, my next fifty is about half a level away, I want to ding somewhere nice.
What in your opinion is the best way to ding 50 and where would you do it?
[/ QUOTE ]
Assuming we're talking about CoH, and not CoV...
In the Cape mission's always good.
Or you could try for the headache that is dinging simultaneously with 7 other people off an AV... Did that once, never again. My brain hurt for a week after organising that one. (it was Siege on the tower map, for anyone remotely interested)
You could try for a ding off Recluse in the STF, I suppose. But that may require you to sit out most of the TF while the rest of the TF is cleared and the minions/towers/flier dealt with.
Assuming you've not got it already, ding from the XP off the Exloration badge on top of city hall in Atlas?
There's all sorts of stupid ways to hit 50 -
This is your semi-regular Sunday evening reminder.
Tomorrow evening, there are expected to be severe and localised outbreaks of unseasonal weather. Please steer clear of Faultline if such conditions are likely to cause problems for you.
7pm, Mirror Spirit, Faultline. -
[ QUOTE ]
Nothing ott but I noticed today that my TA/Archery was a little odd...
When clicking on say a power from the trick arrow/or archery set everything works nicely. Its when you click on a power from the archery/trick arrow set, that the animation when the bow appears replays...
This is pretty odd as I thought that once the bow is out, there is no need to pull the same one from behind your sholder again, cause we archers are dead cool like that.
But from the looks of it the animation plays everytime you chose a power from the other powerset.
Perhaps its just me... Or has anyone else got this?
[/ QUOTE ]
Known issue, fix on the way, no idea exactly when.
So yes, other people get it, and it's not just you -
Clarification
[ QUOTE ]
I stand corrected.
I checked with our Engineering team to make sure that this is accurate. I didn't want to state something and then have to correct myself again.
1) If a player logs in during the two free character slot "gift" window, then those slots are placed in player's character slot inventories. Character Slots within your inventories can never be removed, even after the gift window closes.
2) If a player NEVER logs in during the character slot "gift" window, the window closes, then any new or re-activated player will never get the two free slots.
Please note that the free two slots are only being given to "active" accounts that Log into the game during this gift window. If your account is active, but you've never logged in, you're not getting your two free slots when the window closes.
3) Once a character slot (via Veteran Reward, free gift or purchased slot) is placed within a Player's Inventory, then the order in which they redeemed is irrelevant.
When we decide to end the two free character slot window, we will give advance notice.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not quite as first thought. -
Another decent week.
My lot pretty much all hit 22 (I think).
Doc Delilah's done and dusted. Steel Safeguard done and dusted. Got a couple of missions into Agent G's arc (although the team had shrunk a little by then).
I think next week it'll be moving on to complete Agent G and poke our heads into Striga, possibly also Cape Missions and second Costume slot street hunts, depending on time.
Personally, I think I'll do the running around for the cape mission before next week, since it's a bit of a faff on.
Stephanie Peebles' arc can take a fair bit of time, since IIRC, her missions don't have a fixed order, so you can repeat a good few of them trying to get everyone onto the Wedding Band mission.
Well, later all. -
Just a heads up folks.
Global Chat is currently burgered.
Assuming it doesn't come back before 7pm, we'll have to do things the old fashioned way. -

Does anyone know how to link powers together in macros.
for example, im trying to do this:
say Kaioken!$$powexec_toggle_on Fire Shield$$powexec_toggle_on Blazing Aura$$powexec_toggle_on Plasma Shield
i have tried this but i have to click it three times for it to use all three powers at once. Can anyone tell me how to activate them all with one click.
Thanks
[/ QUOTE ]
You can't.
You can't activate more than one power with a single button press, whether it's toggles or click powers.
All you can do is pretty much what you've done there, and hit the same button a few times, or if you've got a G15 keyboards, you may be able to set up a macro to do it using delays, but that's a faff on.
