    A, AR, or DP?

Add in another vote for Archery. It's just a fantastic set. Good single target damage, fantastic AoE, lower endurance costs, and high accuracy.

I try and tell myself, "Alright, im not gonna buy another steam game until I finish at least 2 of the 80+ games I have."

And then something like Blood Bowl goes on sale for 75% off.
  3. Also, just noticed that the Energy Mastery for Masterminds is screwed up.

Energy Torrent has a 24s Recharge, and Explosive Blast has a 16s Recharge. Those values are the exact opposite of what they should be.

And pretty good damage at that.
  5. Mass Effect on Steam does *not* have SecureRom.

Bioware works pretty well with the Steam guys, and remove their DRM for Steam products. No Bioware game has DRM on steam.
  6. The Soul Drain power has different values then for the two epic sets, with the Dark Mastery one being *significantly* better then the Soul Mastery.

Soul Mastery has a 240s Recharge and a 10ft Radius.
Dark Mastery has a 120s Recharge with a 15ft Radius.

All other values are the same. Can we get a fix?
  7. Actually, Dark/Dark/Dark corrupters would do pretty decent AoE damage. People forget that while Dark's AoE is DoT, both Nightfall and Tentacles are on a 10s timer, which means that with some decent +Recharge, you can basically spam those two cones over and over.

And with Soul Drain from the Dark APP, you get a nice +Acc and +Dam boost. Just make sure you go Dark, rather then Ghost Widow. For some stupid reason, the GW Soul Drain is on a 240s timer, while Dark Soul Drain is on a 120s timer.

Who cares? My SS/Fire can farm +4x8 without Temp Protection, and I'm pretty sure the above build can to. 75% Fire Resist is more then enough. The difference is certainly not enough to waste a power on, at least not till Stam becomes inherent.

Trolls are a dime a dozen.

To answer the original question, Elec fits Trollers better then Doms. Doms really like having *instant* control to protect themselves from incoming damage. Since most of Elec's control is in their end drain capabilities, this doesn't fit quite as well with them. Furthermore, most of Elec's powers are totally unneffected by Domination.
  10. I decided to finally IO out my Fire/Rad, and I am debating on Choking Cloud. I never used it while leveling, and didn't really notice dying a whole lot. With my build plan, I'm building pretty much for pure +recharge, and I am wondering how useful Choking Cloud would be.

This character will be used for general PvE, TFs/SFs and some farming.

And while we are at it... EM Pulse. Seems I never seem to use it other then an "Oh crap" moment, but with all the planned +Recharge in my build, it seems that Cinders will do that job just fine.
  11. Eh, I kinda agree. Fightning games are just so...Generic. He did point out the one exception to the rule, Super Smash Bro's. I would love to see fighting games try more stuff like this, rather then revert to the same old 2 person button mash.

Fighting games and JRPG's are my two least favorite types of games, both because they don't attempt to break the mold in any way. They just keep using the exact same molds over and over and over again.

    /inv vs. /wp

Willpower- Easier to level, has quick recovery. Taunt aura is fairly weak.

Inv- Slightly harder to level then Willpower, but is overall tougher. Has the best Taunt aura for scrappers.

Look at those Claw animations! Do they seem brutish to you? Nooo. Some might not even think they look scrapperish enough. But they all agree, they don't look like "OMG! If this game was rated MA, I might actually throw up at the brutal carnage I just unleashed on that Dark Ring Mistress!"

When you picture a brute with claws, you picture limbs laying halfway across the room, as the insides get dragged along by the brute because they're just so full of fury they haven't bothered to wipe them off!

Which by the way, is just unsanitary to the next victim, who may just get some sort of STD from the last victim. Is that fair to them? The last thing they get before the crime scene clean-up crew comes in to clean up the little pieces of them that's left on the floor and cieling, is something that's could easily leave them with a social stigma for what would of been the rest of their lives.

    But...I digress.

Go Scrapper, untill alternate animations come in for some really brutal looking animations for claws.
Ripping people to shreds and then bathing in their blood isn't brutish? Only attack that doesn't really look brutish to me is Eviscerate, and I skip that anyways.
  14. Brute. Taunt Aura ftw. Also, Claws for brutes is just.... Well it's pretty freaking amazing.

Yeah, Energize doesn't really count as a true self heal. The +Regen is often better then the heal portion of it. It's decent, but not anywhere on the same level as Healing Flames, Recon, Dull Pain, or the Dark Heal.

    ::edit::

And yeah, Claws/Fire is sexy. I rerolled mine into a Claws/WP, but thats only cause I have done /Fire already with my SS/Fire, and didn't really feel like another one. (It's still squishy as hell)
  16. You guys joke now.. Because you haven't played the game.

Also the new Praetorian maps are sooooo packed full of mobs that every room is practically a mini farmable mission, and the clockwork seem to herd like they think it is i1! (Though they do hurt).
Spines/Darks used to farm it because it was pure Psi damage, something that Dark has extremely high resists to.

I stripped my Spines/Dark a while ago, and used all the Inf to pimp out my SS/Fire, since the Behemoth mish is waaaaaay easier then the MM mish.

Not sure what to do with my Spines/Dark now.
  18. Nrg/Nrg works great for solo work. Another one to consider is Sonic/Nrg, which has some additional control stuff, like the cone sleep, which work really well for a solo blaster.

    All sheild types

The Elec/Shield Scrapper, and a SS/Shield Brute will kill the fastest. SS/Shield is prob the fastest of the two.
  20. I agree, I like the new fury changes. While it's not as easy to get to higher levels of fury, it is much easier to maintain a moderate amount without much effort. Especially useful for brutes without taunt auras, like /Nrg.
  21. Played 45 minutes of Amnesia: Dark Descent. With the lights off. And my roommate is out of town.

Is your experience different? Being a 50 who is only interested in TF/Incarnate/High level content on my Blaster (Not farming at all), I'm thinking s/l defense, even soft capped, would put me at a severe disadvantage on some those Trials/TF's/content compared with ranged defense that I know is going to avoid most incoming attacks if I just stay out of melee range.

Whats are your thoughts on that?
I haven't gotten my Rad/Fire to 50, or started working on Softcapping S/L yet.

So far though, I have experienced relatively few times I have faceplanted, in part due to well... Teaming. If the team is doing their job, I should be taking pretty low damage. On a STF/RSF especially, you are looking at pretty much always having a Tank/Brute, and several buff/debuffers around to mitigate a good deal of damage.

My Purpled out Fire/Nrg blaster has pretty much no ranged defense, and is not softcapped S/L(Just has Cold shield and Hibernoob), and I die pretty rarely on any TF/SF. And I am in melee pretty much all the time on him. Just play smart, and use your inspirations and teammates, and you shouldn't be having any issues whatsoever.

    Agreed.

But don't play it villain side. Take it heroside and farm the Behemoth mish. It's pretty much the best farm mish a SS/Fire can get, outside of AE.
