Quote:The 32 upgrade is what causes their end to bottom out. 1-31, my Demons were fine on end. Then after 32, my Prince's end just bottomed out. So far I got 2 end reduxs in him right now, but Im gonna try and up that with frankenslotting, because in long fights he still bottoms out occasionally.I have not had any pet end issues on my Demon/Storm, but I do not have the lvl 32 upgrade yet, so maybe once the AoE heal comes into play?
Hurricane and Freezing Rain mitigate a ton of damage for me though, so I do not believe I will often see the AoE heal being spammed normally.
Ember oddly enough, I still don't see bottom out on end.
::edit:: Just saw your second post. Needless to say, my results pretty much mirror yours. -
I'd play that set for sure.
I would love a Natural/Martial style set to. People have thrown around the Martial Arts support set, with stuff like Crane Kick, and Dragons Tail in it, and I would love to see that. -
EA for stalks is actually pretty decent. It's defense based, which is SIGNIFICANTLY better then Resistance based sets(Elec Arm is actually not that great for stalkers). You can easily cap your Lethal defense with Parry.
Repel is pretty meh, good for an *oh ***** power, but I wouldn't run it all the time.
Best part of EA is Energy Drain, which basically gives you infinite endurance. Oh, and Overload is prob the best Tier 9 power in the game. -
Yes, it is very strong, and extremely easy to level, hence why it is one of the most popular sets.
While Inv has slightly higher overall defenses when IO'ed out, Willpower comes pretty darn close.
The only flaws WP has is a big weakness to -Regen debuffs, and its Taunt aura is fairly weak. But even those weaknesses are pretty minor compared to all its pros. -

It applies to all pets that are in range for it. Look at your pet window and you should see the icon for Enchant Demon.
And no, don't bother slotting it. Just toss 1 end redux in it and call it good. -
Quote:The thing is, usually you can tell when the team is going to start having problems. I rarely see a team go from steamrolling, taking no damage, to all of a sudden, bam, teamwipe. There are indicators to this sort of thing. A Dominator goes AFK, or leaves the team, which causes incoming damage to skyrocket. That Thermal corrupter leaves, taking his buffs with you. You notice peoples health bars start yo-yoing. It's at this point you need to start buffing. This makes no sense to me as a Ninja/FF/Mace Tankermind myself. Bubbles are proactive, you want them on the team BEFORE **** hits the fan. When **** does hit the fan, you want to be spamming Force Bolt, Repulsion Bomb, and Provoke (as a Tankermind), not buffing. Particularly with the way that ambushes have been coming in GR, this mentality isn't reasonable to me at all.
And as a highly active Nin/FF/Mace bubbler that uses Provoke, Force Bubble, Repulsion Bomb, bow attacks, command macros, and more during combat, the only way that you are not finding time to consistently buff all of your pets as well as buffing most of the team is that you are being lazy or flat out refusing to do such, which is what the OP basically stated.
::edit::
But I do agree. A Nin/FF is not exactly a highly active MM set. You generally have plenty of time to buff, and quite frankly, I don't see a reason why you shouldn't be. -
I have played many buffers over the years, Masterminds included.
When the team is steamrolling, and taking no damage, and everything is fine, do I bubble? No. Waste of time. They don't need it if nobody is taking damage.
But when the **** hits the fan, teammates start dropping, and the team is having difficulty? You best be buffing.
So again, with an attitude of "Screw them", I have an attitude of /kick. -

Dark's AoE damage is actually pretty decent with constantly spamming Tentacles and Nightfall. And the Immb is pretty helpful. Plus, more -tohit. Again, if I wanted to go for pure perfection, I would have tried to get my buddy to go Rad/Dark instead for the defense debuffs and all the Achilles Heels procs, but its not really that big of a deal.
-
Quote:Only downside with the 3 Fire/Darks is they are all kinda end hoggy. I would do 2 Fire/Darks and 1 Fire/Kin.3 fire/dark corrs.
Floored tohit effectively softcaps everyone. -dmg effectively boosts resistance to the ceiling. Toss in some -regen and 3 fluffies
Fire is fire. There is nothing in this game that 3 fireballs can't fix. And by fix, I mean **** its day up real bad. -
Quote:Exactly, which is why I am not to terribly concerned with how absolutely perfect our team is. We are already making a mockery of the game content as is.
Anyways, you ll probably roll over anything you face with your set up.
Should be noted that 1 Rad Blast in the team is a good idea if you are min/maxing your team. Have them slot Achilles Heels for additional -20% resistance. -
I honestly can't think of any of the powers skipped from the secondaries for Hide that would help Stalkers as much as Caltrops would. Even Quick Recovery wouldn't bring anywhere near as much as Caltrops, especially with the fitness changes coming.
-
The cottage rule is the rule that an existing power cannot be removed or changed into a different power. If Caltrops was made inherent, the Ninjitsu version would have to be changed into a different power, otherwise there would be two copies of Caltrops. So my question is... Do you in fact understand the cottage rule?
Quote:What problem is this supposed to fix?
2. It increases Stalkers survivability significantly, without boosting HP, or defensive values.
3. It solves nearly all mission related issues Stalkers have, such as Stalkers weakness to Ambushes, compared to all other classes. -
-
Make Caltrops an Inherent power.
Screw the cottage rule. -
Demon Prince.
He can hold bosses without any assistance. He can tank with Chilling Embrace. He does AoE damage with Frozen Aura. He slows the crap out of the mobs with stuff like Shiver. He does great single target damage.
And since EVERY single attack has a slow component, he can slot the Slow damage Proc, for even more damage awesomeness. -
Me and my friends are rolling a trio of Corrupters right now.
Dark/Dark, for the awesome debuffs, and tar patch
Arch/Cold, The Shields and Frostwork give us alot more toughness, and the debuffs are great.
Fire/Kin, For Speedboost and pure raw damage.
So far, the speed we are flying through stuff is just incredible. Haven't faced our first AV yet, but I imagine it will be cakewalk. Our AoE damage right now is pretty much... Crazy. -
I'm pretty sure the Taunt IO's are a bug... If it is proccing, its going to be damaging YOU.
Procs in Siphon Power only go off when you hit Siphon Power, not your attacks. Not worth it in the least. -
Quote:In addition, drop Steadfasts/Karmas from your build and get Acrobatics instead with your free powers. Moar slots. Those extra 1 slots can be extremely invaluable though. It allows you to free up slot usage for unique IOs so that you can concentrate a little more on set bonuses. Special IOs such as Luck of the Gambler 7.5% Recharge, Steadfast Protection 3% Defense, Gladiator's Armor 3% Defense, Karma Knockback Protection, and etc.
Overall my characters are getting lots more global Recharge from this change, and I like it! -
Incinerate is a decent attack for killing bosses very quickly, but it is most certainly skippable. Fire can easily get away with making a pure ranged build, since it has 3 good single target attacks, and a ranged Cone.
Combustion is actually pretty decent until you get your APP AoE's, since otherwise all of your AoE is coming from Firebreath. Might consider taking it, then respecing it out when you get Fireball and Rain of Fire. Not necessary though.
As for Consume, I really like it. That extra endurance is always useful, and Earth likes to burn through the end. Toss 1 Acc in it if you don't think you have many end problems, and use it for emergencies. -
I'm a big fan of Claws/Wp. Pretty much easy mode 1-50.
But as folks have said, nearly all combinations of scrappers work great. -
TA does not cause redraw for Archery.
...As for how useful it is? Well... It's *meh*. It's got decent debuffs, but nothing really special. Dark can imitate Acid and Disruption arrow with basically 1 power(Tar Patch). Only really *great* thing that TA has is Oil Slick, which is great.
Its not a waste of a team slot certainly. -
I went Storm, and love it. Works great with demons, and Demons/Storm is definitely the flashiest Mastermind around.
