  1. May as well make a start in posting results for Captain Morgan to collate.....

    [ QUOTE ]
    6 Shadow Fury/Tridento/Smirk vs 4 Katie Ann/Archelon/Columna

    [/ QUOTE ]

Okay, apologies to Shadow Fury & Smirk, but I couldn't see anything on the forum stating that you couldn't make it, so the match went ahead.

Aburame (Dark/SR scrapper) & Angelstar (FF/Archery defender) subbed in.

Despite our best efforts we went down 7-0. Gratz to Katie-Ann, Archelon & Columna. The two trollers were really effective in reducing any damage our two scrappers could do (I don't think I managed to land a hit on Katie-Ann, although Arch did at least feel my claws, and then asked me to stop tickling him ).

A big thank you to Abu and Angel for subbing in at last minute.

  2. A beep. An annoying, sudden beep that spoiled the silence of the Circle of Thorn's caves.

In his shining armour of white and gold (or a 'tacky silver and gold' according to some little electric charged mouthy git), Volt Master's shining eyes flickered with a brief look of disapointment as the message, converted to an electric signal, flashed through his ears. Yeah, he had been wanting to take Requiem, mostly because of the explosions he had been promised, but tonight he was busy with saving the world from the Circle of Thorns.

"Another time, Doc. Another time..." Muttered back into his cape brooch, which translated it and sent it back to the original sender across the airwaves.

((10PM is my usual log-off times on schooldays, I'm sorry to say. I'll probably be able to get away with it on Fridays or Saturdays though.))

I am able to make any evening. Tells in game to @Cambo will get either me or my son.

  4. Just make sure you don't reschedule at the same time as any Australia games

Going to T4 at the beach all day i think.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hmm, that means it will probably be raining on Sunday, better cancel that BBQ.

If I can get Robo to 38 I will be there. It does help to be able to get through the door in the first place!

    Teenage heroes

Ultimune is 13, he's a MA/SR Scrapper based on Robin.

But I've been wanting to make a new teen one latley, and I'll probably delete Ultimune.
  7. Yes, well done. A very fast paced TF, I think we ended up doing it in just under 3 hours.

Robo Medic picked up 5 bubbles towards Lvl 36, and plenty of healing towards the SG healing badge

Congrats on the organising Beaver (Dr Who apart ).

I'll see what I can do for the next one.

  8. Good point - overlooked the time myself.

If it is 1900 GMT then that would be 2000 BST. However, Dancing Beaver would be the best one to confirm the start time.

Looking at the previous Saturday Task Force I would say that 1900 BST (7pm) is the start time - the same time as Doctor Who / part way through "Flog It" / part way through "Tomorrow Never Dies" / the end of the Channel 4 News....

  9. I think that the substitute needs something to play for. If you know that no matter what you/your team do, you're going to lose, it's hard to get the same feel as if something is on the line.

If a substitute has to be used then that person should take over the position as if they were chosen originally. If this happens mid-tournament then they inherit the current standing of the person that they have taken over from. Likewise, if it is agreed that the original person comes back to claim their place, they take over the the standing of the substitute.

Unless arranged prior to the night of the tournament, people who are substituted should then be ineligible for the remainder of the tournament. This way you don't penalise those that realise that they can't make it and make necessary arrangements as against those that just don't turn up.

Those who wanted to be involved, but missed being chosen, should let themselves be known to the organisers as available substitutes. That way the organisers can allocate substitutes at random to the teams that need them. That would also prevent tactical substitutions by teams.

That would then mean that any absences before the evening are confirmed to the organisers. If you have someone prepared to step in for you, all well and good, but there would be no guarantee that they would take over your position as they would be added to the substitute pool.

Phew, this is what happens when the servers are down, I have time to think.

  10. A big thank you to Captain Morgan!

Well chuffed that the team I was in for the first round had a win (using the squishy tactic), but was then brought to back down to earth in the 2nd.

So, gratz to Captain Skyfire & Dax Ferdas for the win, and "we wuz robbed" to my fellow losing teamies, Anata & Envoy (well, we were robbed about 14 times in total iirc - ouch)

All to play for next Thursday.

  11. Gratz Lokanna! Would have been there to see it myself had it not been 3vP night

  12. I know it would be a pain to miss out, being the organiser and all, but there is a reserve list.

I will still be there, as Tridento it appears.

Meh, I'm pure PvE too. I'm going to add a few +accuracies to attacks but thats it. I thought the whole point was so everyday players have a go at PvP without worrying about being Mr uber build?

Thats my story when I get smeared across the arena floor anyway and i'm sticking to it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Do we just sign our names here for the above excuse - sounds like me, word for word!

  15. I could be in with a chance of.... "First Australian in the SG" !!

So, anyway, looks like it's me and you to fly the flag for the Swords then!!

I hope you're good, cos if not, the Swords are in biiiiig trouble

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ahem, Tridento will be there. Am teamed with Capain Skyfire & Dax Ferdas against Envoy, Shadow Fury & Elerith in the 1st Round. I then team with Envoy & Anata (Anath's brute) against Mr Nice, Troke & Captain Skyfire in the 2nd Round.

Though the second part of that quote remains true, as when it comes to PvP i'm a noob, and my build is for PvE.

Hope a lot of swords will be there providing support!

    See you this evening.

  17. Probably best to get a SG team to do a TF or two. Plenty of missions, plenty of healing, and plenty of prestige for the SG.

and gratz on the b'day Sin.
  18. Have managed to get Robo Medic MkIV into the SG. A dedicated empath healer (all empath powers). So, if a healer is required - shout out ( @Cambo).
  19. Saw you guys gathering for the Sister Psyche TF as our team was doing the same. I'm up for Manticore, with Robo Medic MkIV (empath defender).

If too many defenders sign up and you need more muscle, I'll bring Tridento.

The defiant one of the family.
  20. Can't say I know the exact reasoning behind the disbanding of Ultimate Muscle. Just logged in one day, and was without a SG - 160k of prestige earnt, down the drain

Still, life goes on! And for you, it's gone on quite nicely.

The defiant one of the family.
  21. Big gratz Stoic, just makes me realise how far I've slipped behind from when we teamed in the Ulti Muscle days.

The defiant one of the family
  22. I should be there with Tridento - 44.5 at the moment, so 45 will be dinged beforehand - providing I can keep my son off the PC. So, if anyone sees him on Union, tell him to log off, so his dad can get on.
  23. If the numbers all add up (it's a bit Triad-ish), include....

    Tridento
    @Cambo
    Scrapper
    Claws / Invulnerability
  24. Having got back into PvP (with Entrino last night in SC) I'm sorry I missed the chance for a one on one event in the Arena. Shall look forward to the next one (if I can kick my son off Union with his pesky blaster).

    News Report

(This is a Galaxy Girl related topic, mainly to everybody that is friendly with Volt Master)

Most people watch Paragon Action News once a day. It's one of the leading news channels in the hero filled city. Most people that watched Paragon Action News today would have most likely seen this news report.

Kim Freeman, probably the leading female news reporter for PAN stood there in one of her immaculate suits. Her hair was flawless, her teeth were near blinding and her cheeks were all botoxed up to perfection. A caption in the lower right screen appears as Kim begins to speak. It reveals her name and location, but they were also the first things she said.

“Good evening. I am Kim Freeman, standing outside of Saint Mary’s Hospital in London, England. I am here today as the nation mourns the death of a hero. It is reported that Volt Master passed away at thirty seven minutes past six this very morning. The hero was in England for a trial, where he was being accused of mass murders throughout the U.K. Fortunately for the hero the trial never actually started, as Volt Master was rushed to hospital as illness struck him. We were told by Dr. Morgan that the illness was a rare disease, only seen once before this known as the ‘Kagofem’ disease, named after the first person to be struck with the illness. Symptoms involve the peeling of skin, violent coughing and sneezing, and bringing up blood orally and both cases have ended in fatality.

Volt Master, whose name I cannot reveal to the public yet, was brought up in England. It is believed that when his parent’s died in a car crash, he snapped, and began his murderous rampage. The poor boy then fled to Paragon City, Rhode Island, where he supposedly joined the criminal gang known as the ‘Outcasts’. Soon afterwards though, he became Volt Master, a hero to most, but many people here in England cannot forget his murderous past, which seemed to catch up with him, when he killed three innocent civilians in Paragon City, late last year. After that, Volt Master had his Hero License taken away and he began fighting crime as a vigilante.

Volt Master was supposed to go on trial almost a week ago, but instead he was rushed to hospital. The trial was put on hold until his health recovered, but instead it deteriorated rapidly and eventually, he passed away. Whether Volt Master murdered or not, he will surely be missed.”

The screen goes back to the PAN station, where two more reporters say thank you to Kim, then begin going on with their daily ‘New Hero on the Block’ segment. It seems someone called ‘Yellow Lightning' has just started his career as a hero
