I failed to mention that it was the % x damage IOs that I was specifically asking for, but the recharge one from Force Feedback does look good as well. Fault is great mitigation as is, but I find that it would be even more helpful if it damaged my enemies as well.
And yeah, Paragonwiki is a great tool. Its just a pain to navigate on my phone while I'm at work
Edit: I went back and looked when I got home, and the FF proc is in my bar, waiting for me to hit the next odd level, so I can slot it in -
I'm at work and check Mids or in game... which proc IOs will fit? I seem to recall slotting 2 into Fault on my stone/shied, one from a taunt set, one from a knockback set. Are there any others?
-
To be fair, the use of Rage helps negate the effects of slower Fury gain. You are still gaining Fury at a slower rate, but the effects are just not as noticable.
-
You guys completely failed to address the real question he was asking, in his original title. The issue of Race crashing has been one of my chief problems, not just in the game but in all facets of life. Human has long been my favourite race, and one I tried out for many years, but it crashed on me, just as the OP intomated in the first post. I tried Kanthar, but that didnt even last a week before crashing. I've moved on to Pintar, and I'm hoping that will work. I may have to go back to human if this doesnt work... that seemed to last the longest.

Quote:The Vahz zombies may not be affected by the double damage, but they are affected by the fact that it's lethal damage. The axe seems to do more damage against the zombies than against their handlers. Also, the Vahz bosses are affected by the double damage, so dont discount it's use against this villain group.Use the Axe if any of the following:
*Your attack set is mostly Negative Energy Damage
or
*If you intend to mainly fight CoT Spectrals and other "True Undead" (Note that Vahz Zombies are not undead for these purposes).
Does Special Damage vs. CoT Spectrals, BP Zombies, Tsoo Ancestor Spirits, Unseelies, Croatoa Ghosts and Shivans. Source: http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Ghost_...st_Slaying_Axe
or
*It fits your "style".
Otherwise, use Sands of Mu.
The other problem: The vet powers can't be slotted for anything, including Accuracy, so they attack at your base Accuracy/ToHit. The Ghost Axe is primarily when fighting against foes that drop ToHit DeBuffs, which makes the problem worse. -
Quote:This is only an issue if you're stationary. I tend to hit the Axe power while I'm already in transit to a target, thereby negating any draw time.I hate Redraw!
To use the Axe, you have to pull it out of nullspace (putting away anyother weapon or shield you may have out) then after whiffing with it (vet power attacks lack much in the way of Accuracy), you have to pull out the regular weapon/shield.
Plus, Sands has a cone if you line it up right, allowing me to beat on two or three opponents instead of just one. It has been coming in pretty handy for my lowbie meleers opening Presents during this Winter Event, since the Frostlings spwan packed together so nicely.
I'm about 60/40 in favour of the axe. I use SoM for any melee attacker that doesnt already use a weapon, because they do tend to use the vet attack powers while already in melee combat, and because of the cone factor. But any character that's not a scrapper, tank or brute, I tend to take the axe, especially if they use a damage type that is easily mitigated against by ghost/undead (like dark or smashing/lethal). Having a squishy sitting there whiffing for 5 seconds while the animation plays tends to lead to a bloody end. -
That is correct. If the AE pack is selling for $20, then it's actually going to cost you -$5, as the $15 monthly fee and the $10 booster pack are both included.

I recommend waiting until at least lvl 22 to do the mission so that you can select the most powerful IO as your reward (lvl 25). Thats what I normally do.
-
Lets try that again...
How did you get that wiki list? Is it something you put together yourself, or was it somehow auto-generated? -
Elec/Shields also gives you a very nice duo of AoE, but you dont benefit from the joy of Rage.
Also, dont discount Stone/ElA. Stone does some crazy damage with a high fury bar, and electric armour will help with the End costs. It is a little light on resistance, though, so you really have to be careful. But, they added a self heal to it with the last issue, so that really helps. -
I think you would need to post your build so that people could give you suggestions on what modifications to try.
-
Is the Fighting pool even needed for a /stone build? It seems like overkill to me, and those power choices could be used patron powers.
Also, I tend to slot "%chance to do x damage" IOs from the stun/knockback sets in Fault, to at least give it some damage potential, but that mainly applies to builds that arent trying to overcome the -rech/-dam/-speed of Granite. -
-
Quote:Yeah, but -regen is fairly unimportant for large team play, unless you're specifically targetting AV/GMs, simply due to the speed at which mobs die in group settings.anywho, the defender builds shouldnt matter as long as fire/mental exists. It has -regen available, in blaster form.
Providing -Def or -Res is far more effective, or heck -Rech or -Acc to keep your tank safer, or squishies from getting hit in case the tank fails to hold aggro (which is possible in a blaster heavy team).
This is a fun discussion. I've really enjoyed reading the responses, and how people approach the initial question from a different viewpoint -
Yeah, but if you skipped Stamina all together, you probably wouldnt remain above 90 endurance for long... which just brings you right back to the same problem.
-
I like to use 1 IO, 1 Performance Shifter: End Mod, and 1 Performance Shifter: Proc. It gives an handy set bonus (as I often play stone tanks, or brutes who always need to get to the next target just that much faster)
-
I was in an sg on victory, witha nice base, and a dozen or so people who hadnt logged for years. So, when I gained control, I kicked them all out and invited all my alts in
-
I have a Stone/Energy - Dark/Dark combo and a Stone/Stone - Kin/Rad combo that I run dual boxed, and the Stone/Stone has a far easier time with movement and endurance. Of course, the dark/dark adds a lot in terms of survivability.

I usually take SoM on those melee toons who dont use a weapon, mainly for the ease of use (so as not to have to deal with weapon draw, and the multiple targets huddled around me). That said, most of my ranged characters will take the axe, since weapon draw isnt usually a big issue, and I rarely need more than one foe turning their attention my way. Besides, the lack of defences makes the long rooting animation too dangerous.

Quote:Am I the only one who has no idea what you guys are talking about? At first I thought you might be talking about the Clone Wars animated series, but I dont remember the STs being numbered. Other than that, there's some great info on the unlocked ATs in this thread.Agreed. We're all minions, but some of us are are like numbers 21 and 24. That rare blend of expendable and invulnerable that makes for a better henchman.
I cant believe I havent unlocked one after 4 years... my highest recently went from 44 to 47, and I got bored again and started yet another new guy. (4 full servers and counting) -
Why wait until 20? You can use the 4 special costume salvage to get a free costume slot at any level. The Halloween event just ended. If you didnt get them yourself from trick or treating, you'll be able to pick them up cheap from the WW/BM. I know that I have almost 20 full sets left over from the last few years' events, and picked up a dozen or so more sets this year...

Quote:That worked perfectly. Thanks for the link.I don't use Vista, so I can't tell if this works or not, but it looks legit: using the Application Compatibility Toolkit from Microsoft to remove the UAC prompt from specific programs.
