When I first commissioned him to do my trio he sent me two Fenian sketches to choose between - Both were so grat I had to hire him to do them both! The first one is already posted up above somewhere, here's the second one...

If the butt staring and sexy walk were the only reason they were playing the game... Well, there's much better websites for that kind of viewing

I think the butt staring argument only applied for all that time between missions, running from one to the other, etc.. Most of the time, while in actual combat, I assume they're not still but staring... And if they are, they really should check out those websites I mentioned - they'd probably be more effective for 'em

I have mixed feelings on the out clauses...

The time one could just be a case of covering his own behind in case life gets out of control... Or it could just be an out in case he doesn't feel like following through. I guess one would have to know this guys integrity factor to judge for sure but in the end I would look at this as he's not asking for artwork for his own characters, the only self serving purpose I could see to this contest if he doesn't intend to follow through is to raise his page views/show off his work and it seems to me he'd create more bad will by not following through than benefit he would gain from the views...

As for the number of entries - I think that is reasonable. 200 may be a bit of a large number for a minimum but I don't think one can really expect him to be forced to give away that much of tim, effort and materials if there is only 1 entry to choose from.

In the end, I see little harm done even if he had no intention of following through. As I mentioned, I don't see this as being very self serving - He's asking for people to make deviations for their own characters so the entrants at least should be working on something they enjoy. *shrug*



As for whether or not screenshots are acceptable: Despite EnnVee's query and the response I still suspect he is looking for original artwork entries and not screenshots. I suspect he just didn't get that she was asking about a screen capture of a game.

CR - well you have had your share of walls of text lately . But I usually don't worry about losing things midstream... Can't recall the last time comp froze and I lost stuff... Not sure what happened this time, I had cut and pasted your post and was removing the pics to save room and I'm not sure what I hit instead of delete but it sent me to the first page of the thread and when I went back my text was lost

ah well, least ways I was a bit more concise even if everyone didn't get personal replies...

She came out very cute and I like the way she surrounded by stars...

I was suprised by the amount of this happening when I first started playing... seemed a bit odd to me.

As EnnVee said though, it is a better view when playing a female toon...

But personally the reason I did it was because I stumbled across a character design I really liked. Fenians precursor was an entrant into one of the Color Pallete Contests... I really liked how the witch costume pieces looked but at that point I still wasn't going to play a female toon.

I had been trying to make an Irish themed character. I tried several male versions using the green, orange and white color scheme but nothing ever really clicked... Someone mentioned how the contest entry could work like that... Using the fur on the magic bolero for white... Eh, I forget exactly how convo went but I decided to give it a try.

I tinted the contest entries colors in that scheme and see how it worked. I liked it. A lot. So I played around with different female faces and bodies and such and eventually ended up with Fenian...

But for most I assume it's a lot simpler... It's about the backside view

I think this versions the best... very cool vibe, great art... Great job!
