Hmmm, it would be one thing if Alfred occasionally pulled a gun, maybe... To ward off intruders or such?

But if he's regularly joining in the fights and shooting his gun off, that is just silly.

I'd like to see the next one have like a 6month open submission window where artists who find the contest late can jump in and be competitive so long as they catch up on the entries before the first elimination month. But the trick is to find the right balance of letting late comers enter late and still be viable, yet rewarding those who were in from the get go and entering each piece on time...

I'd also like to see the final vote not be between a final piece by each artist but perhaps by their entire gallery of entries, or perhaps even just their chosen 3 or 4 which they think best represents them.

Definitely cool stuff going on in that galley...

I have to agree with the sentiment that if this was indeed the stand you were going to take, you should have taken it much earlier than now. As much as I hate seeing people drop out, sometime that is the right way to make a stance upon principle. If you felt so strongly people shouldn't have been allowed to enter after X point then, once they were allowed after that point, you should have dropped... I'm of the general opinion that continued participation is, if not approval, then at least acceptance of the situation. To accept it up until now it seems contradictory to suddenly take the stance...

And while I can at least see the "I hoped things would work out for the best" I don't think it's a legitimate excuse. And even IF that was an acceptable excuse, it would have only been so up until the end of last month's contest. To wait until now... To wait until Liz has put who knows how many hours of work into a piece for the competition... It is just wrong.



Ah well. Say la V. (yeah, too tired to even waste a moment trying to think of how to spell that so *shrug*)



Anyway, Bubba... If you are running again next year I hope you learned a lot from this year and apply it wisely. And if you are doing it next year, or passing it off to someone else, many thanks for doing it this year. It was not a flawless run but you put in a lot of time and effort and I hope you know it was appreciated.

Glad you all like Maelfearance, he's been in my head for a while.... As for making him game, it's only slightly the CC that prevents me, it's more because he just wouldn't fit into gameplay well. He is too all powerful, it would kind of be like trying to play Galactus or something. *shrug*

Isn't every trailer (practically every, anyway) better than the movie? I think the more interesting list would be movies that rocked despite having gawdawful trailers...
