Quite possible that whoever the benefiary was didn't even notice. I know that when I am selling I pretty much just throw it all in and move from one item to the next quick enough that I don't see what each item sold for... And I seldom look at how much I'm getting when I hit get all inf either...

Heh, maybe this Caem pic is a bit of beefcake like some of the gals were suggesting? I'm not a good judge of that, though I do think the art is great
Nelson has been great to work with so far... Only had much real interaction with him in the set up to the pics (haven't needed any changes or such so far) but in the set up he was great for bouncing ideas around with and such... -
Heh, ok... Technically I was wrong. Doesn't happen often and since it's only on a technicality, I will admit it
What I was trying to get at though is a pic with two characters interacting with each other, such as grappling. If the two characters next to each other like that was a step past the norm, just seemed that them interacting would be the next step..
And I don't mean blasting at someone off screen or across the page. Seems next step would be them in very close proximity where you have to keep proportions consistantly, take into account how action A would influence character B and their pose, etc etc...
But actually, while I'm loving the pretty consistantly dosages of CRarts, I'm also looking forward to you finishing this up so that we can get more completed works

how do you find out which of the OTHER artists are gonna be eliminated???? a guy with no talent or skills but who entered anyway...
The 1st, 2nd and 3rd system was put in to spread the votes around a but more and I think it has had some effect but it's not a cure all. We'll still likely end up with some tied with no points or maybe just 1...
As the deadweight (me? Gets eliminated and the field shrinks I think we'll see less and less need for some tie breaker on who gets eliminated... But for these early months I would think Wassy is going to have to come up with something...
@Battlewraith - sorry to see you drop out, really liked both your entries and was expecting some great stuff to come. Hopefully it's so you can focus on the book and such...
As for multiple accounts and stuff - whatever. If my tax refund is large enough maybe I'll just buy myself the 2010 FArt title.... (note to self, do TurboTax before I get eliminated!)
Seriously though, I would never vote for myself even if I thought I had the best submission but I understand that others have different views on the matter. The kicker is, it is allowed in this contest. Since it is, and since the rules allow all players to vote (determined by them having an account to post with) I don't see how we can invalidate multiple accounts...
Scooters two accounts make it obvious but I would imagine we do not know the account names of most peoples second accounts. Should they get the advantage because they were sneakier?
I look at it much like I look at strategic voting, campaigning for votes or quietly bribing people with sex and ice cream - there's no practicle way to prevent it so it's up to each persons own morality, judgement, decision, whatever on whether they should or not...
To ask Wassy to police all this when it was never even against the rules would be, in my opinion, too much of a burden to expect of her.., -
He's shameless in his self-promotion but at least he provides awesome arts when doing it

Definitely worth checking out the comic... If you haven't before jump back to the start and catch up on the whole thing. There's a few running gags that are much better if you start at the start rather than jump in midstream and catch up later...
Also, CR, nice job on the two person pic... Forgot to mention that earlier. As you said, mainly doing solos I imagine it's a big jump to doing two in one pic where they're overlapping rather than just side by side... Pretty soon we're gunna need a fight scene out of you

Yep, Like Joph said, bring in whoever you want. This group is just about chatting, having fun, and rampaging around when there's enough on, we don't worry about AT's or the like... We're a pretty eclectic batch so just bring whoever is fun

As some of you may remember, back in my last CCC (#4?) I was looking for scenes to have done for arts I had hired out from President Nelson http://presidentnelson.deviantart.com/ Had to scrap the scene idea since he wanted to just stick to more classic poses since these are more warm ups than his main arts but *shrug* Anyway, they're not done yet but he did throw up the line arts for two of them onto his DA page and I love them both so much I figured I'd share even though they're not done yet...
I love his Caemgen art since Caem just looks so kickbutt and mean in it... It's the side of character a lot of artists seem to jump at since it's the obvious one (he's actually a ***** cat at heart but *shrug* he does get nasty when villians tear him away from his lazy life of computer games and books...)
The Fenian one I love because of the detail and expression on her face. (And he even did throw in a little bit of a scene here...)
Also loved the first line he has in the Artist's Comments section: "Whoops.. did I just whoop your *butt*.....sorry about that"

I haven't yet decided my own personal criteria for choosing who to vote for (no, not any kind of strategy based criteria, mainly just best arts, closest to theme arts, that kind of thing) so I wanna know how long I have to decide...

Yeah, I'd probably try to go with the classic ring layers and try to get each ring (painted? decorated I guess) with different CoH themes... One could be Arachnos themes, one Freakshow, one Longbow, etc etc...
Ok, I probably wouldn't go with that just because I don't think I would have the balls to do it (or ever get married for that sake!) but if I was... I figure the best thing about that is you could go a bit more "subtle" by using like the CoV symbol, the arachnos symbol, etc and it could just be funky designs for those I didn't want to tell it was all based on a game... *shrug*

And I knew CR would bring up the nose as soon as I saw them As he's mentioned, the nose thing was overlooked by pretty much everyone until I started making a point of it when hiring artists... CR had an advantage to everyone though due to his freakish knowledge of the costume creator, methinks
There is no specific backstory about it other than the whole he was born looking like a demon thing. *shrug* I actually never thought much about the nose myself... That face option looked most like what I wanted when creating the character and then I mainly got to look at his back until CR did the sketch that I use as my avatar... Never really thought to mention it to artists til I had works in the works (odd phrase that) and once CR started pointing out they were doing it wrong I started mentioning it when I hired new but made the chice not to hit up those who already were working on it to see if it could be adjusted - I didn't want to bother them at the time *shrug*
Anyway, I thought about mentioning it (along with other details) but first I just wanted to get links out quick! Then after you mentioned you were going to do Caem I figured since it was just a warm up sketch (which is still great!) there was no need to get into the nitty gritty of the little details...
So, that's a long, rambly way to go about saying that the nose isn't really your fault and nothing to worry about
As for the arts in my links... I will need to organize my Photobucket folders but every time I think to do it I also remember that moving stuff will ruin links already posted and stuff. *sigh* Maybe I'll just make a second account just for reference shots...

It is a very cool pic...
I think Carnival ladies could easily have done a pin up justice even without the Pirate/Cruise theme thrown in but the combination works really well... -

The problem is that (for me at least) when I click the stack to see them all individually I pretty much had to go back and do it a second time before the images would appear. Annoying.
And now, for me at least, it doesn't save changes like me deleting a piece from the que, or messages, or polls... ARGH! Pretty soon I'll have hundreds of things in my little message center!!!
(Oddly, it will save the changes I make from my mobile... But polls don't show up on mobile and some images I want to see full size and delete... *sigh* looking like one "convenience change" is turning into a real hassle!) -
Hate the stacks... And now my DA doesn't even want to remember when I delete messages or deviations.... ARGH!
