Err, the boards have been a bit slow lately?

Since you seem to be looking for feedback...

Overall I think the pic has a very interesting look that draws me in... I love some of the details in it but I do think the tattoos and shadows have too much the same look to them... In fact I'm not sure if the design going over their stomaches and up their chests is a shadow, a tattoo or some sort of costume piece...

Also, is the one on the left wearing sunglasses?

Anyway, I like the piece. It's interesting, has a cool style and there's a lot of detail to check out that isn't neccessarily spotted at first glance... But I think there could be more difference or something to make it clear what's shadow, what's body art and what's costume?

If nothing else, that shows the chest in your drawing isn't above and beyond the call of duty

as for the whole "Why post WIPs if not for critiques" question I'd like to suggest that perhaps because some people love to see them... I personally love watching the process and will check out any and all WiPs... If critiques and/or suggestions are asked for then I'll offer any I may have but if not I still enjoy watching the process.

in the meantime I'd suggest you also consider describing how you want it colored. As I recall from Deeb's thread, the horns are candycorn or such? And that the character is made up all of desserts? If you want it colored like that (instead of based strictly off the screenshots) then pointing out which part is vanilla ice cream and which is chocolate syrup (for example) would really help whoever do it right the first time

one little procedural point: We generally try to list at least the artists name for each piece if not also a link to their website or dA page . We like it easy to add people to our watch lists and/or know which artist we want to add to our must hire lists...

I mainly worked so didn't get much out of DXP... And when I did play it seemed like I died... A lot... And often. It was like someone just nerfed my characters. *sigh*

But anyway, I don't care too much about double XP... So far I've pretty much retired each 50 once they hit that mark and just started afresh so I see no need to be in a huge rush to get there.

She didn't do the livestream for me (didn't mean to give that impression) but was going to be doing one and asked if I'd mind if she worked on my piece. I've seen several streams before which was cool but having it be on your character adds extra coolness

And Bubba, I had changed my handle in there hoping the artist wouldn't see me, she seemed nervous about livestreaming and didn't want to give her extra pressure by me watching. Didn't work though, apparently she noticed and eventually asked me a couple questions on the character... Unfortunately I had to split at 2, it was already past my bedtime... Working overnights suck.

No real worries on the sluggish response, just meant I actually got some arts from the deal as well as giving those who were long overdue substitute arts

And actually, I wasn't looking for an overflowing response anyway. I am sure I'll eventually do a contest open to all again, this time I kind of wanted the offer hidden so the regulars would get them...

And yeah CR, the DN actually came out halfway decent but that's why I said character instead of portrait But yeah, had forgotten I did Cash... My arts really do seem to have a way of making people take extended leaves... o.0

This is really freaky! lol... First I saw a bunny there, now I'm seeing some kind of weird imp/gnome figure At first I was really wondering if she edited it (or if my cold pizza breakfast had gotten really bad really fast!) but then I turned my head and saw the bunny again... It's like one of those things where you either see two faces or a vase...

I obviously need some sleep.

You know, I thought CR was high with the whole Duck/Boot thing on the Fenian arts you did... But now I'm seeing a Bunny (or maybe a chipmunk?) in that pic with either wings or a cape flowing behind it...

I'm starting to wonder if you hide cute little animals in all your arts!

Sorry Bubs, I didn't see your message before I sent in the references and ended up getting two for myself out of the batch. I imagine they'll be another opportunity soon enough though so hopefully we can get you in then...

Though I may have to go back to the contest ideas... At least when I ran the contests I got people wanting the free arts. Maybe people prefer to win than just ask? Or maybe there's just not enough people in 606? Or maybe nobody is reading the boards due to double XP? Or maybe nobody likes me and thus don't want arts from me? lol *shrug*

Not ambush arting anyone with any of the last 3 I have to give away. Some people don't like their characters being done without permission and I'm too lazy to keep track of who... So if someone wants one they have to ask. *shrug* Plus, errr, reference shots help.

Anyone else up for free arts? Dunno if I want to give all 4 to StormVyxen... She hasn't been THAT nice to me!

Hmph, just noticed the official post says Pre-Purchase... Guess I have seen that used after all .
